No pizza until after 1:00 pm however the Mexican food at Oscars is fantastic. My husband and I got fish tacos and a fish burrito and both were delicious. They also sent out fresh pico and chips prior to our meal. Minus 1 star because they gave us a hard time about using visa even though they advertise their acceptance of it and the table next to us had just used their own visa. When I handed mine over, the server said "plastic isn't working right now" and walked away. This was AFTER he handed our neighboring table their credit card with receipt back. Out of principle, I told him we had no cash and waited him out. He eventually came back and took my card. (Like magic - it worked!) All in all, would still go back if ever on the island again. read more

Since arriving on Isla two weeks ago I have spoken to a number of people who work at different restaurants and bars about where they take their families out to dinner. Gotta be a pretty good indication of where great food is at right? The name Oscar's kept coming up. So... As it turns out, no big surprise, they were right about the great food! As far as the atmosphere goes, out back there are tables which provide a view of the marina, and there are also tables along the street in the front of the restaurant, some of which afford a great view of what's going on in the kitchen. We ended up watching the sun set over the marina, then moved back out front along the street to watch as items were being prepared to go into the oven We ordered the Pizza Oscar, but with no olives. Watch out for the garlic knots which come out before the pie, they are so good you just might get full on them. We did not order them they just come with the pizza. The pie was pretty much a "kitchen sink" special, had many items on it. Toppings were spread evenly about the entire pizza so you got a lot of flavor in each bite. For me the Italian sausage and garlic stood out the most, it could be that's because those are my favorite toppings. Anyway, a really good crisp crust, red sauce and toppings. A solid 8 +. I keep finding really good pizza and Italian food on Isla. Not exactly what I came to Mexico for, but it's here! Very personable service too. The main cook came out to ask specifically what we wanted to order. Nice touch! Great value in my mind as we have leftovers for at least two days. Or, one day if I wake up and have cold pizza for breakfast! Full bar, open from 5 PM - Midnight. If you decide to go, hope you have a great experience too! read more

Oscars is a really fun place with great food. I came on a trip with family, and we ate outside the front. We walked to the back, which is right on the marina, and saw just how big the venue is. It's perfect for a large party or event! They also have some really fun chairs made of trees to sit in. I shared the seafood platter for two, and I gotta say - it was more like seafood platter for FOUR. It was absolutely huge. Two lobster tails, calamari, octopus, shrimp, fish, baked potatoes, rice and veggies. The fish was so soft and had amazing flavor. Calamari wasn't chewy at all. The shrimp and octopus had a really nice char on them. And the lobster was really great. Loved the extra melted butter they give too. We also got the garlic bread balls in the beginning, which are so soft and warm and bursting with flavor. Absolutely loved our meal here. read more

We've been staying at casa de Los sueños... made friends with another couple who were staying here as well. They gave us a list of the places to hit up. And, Oscars was one of them. I'd seen the place driving by but I was like eh. The staff is friendly, plus the view of the locals riding their mopeds is funny. Families of 4 sometimes anyways we ordered the Hawaiian Pizza it's very delish! And for the kids a regular pepperoni, my husband got a burger they are bomb! The garlic knots are awesome. They have a lasagna that is supposed to be of the chain. But it takes about 15-20mins to make so we passed on it. We had horchatas for drinks yummy very refreshing. This place is huge you walk to the back and the marina is back there. It's definitely worth a try you will not be disappointed. read more

Which they offer with many different toppings. I've been to Oscars a few times and have tried the pizza twice, the fajitas are great as well as the shrimp with garlic sauce. All meals have been wonderful. They also have a wonderful mixed salad which is a great way to start their meals. read more

Dang! that was delicious. We got the grilled seafood for two with lobster tails, shrimp, squid, octopus, fish and so many others I can't recall. We sat out on the sidewalk next to the street in the crazy driftwood chairs that so many have pictured. When we come back we will sit on the marina side of the restaurant. The service was very good. They checked our temperature, sanitized our shoes, and all wore masks, and distancing was practiced. Oh, and the pizza's looked fantastic. Getting that next time. read more

The price was cheap!!!! The food was huge and they have the best ceviche ever! Literally it was enough Ceviche for 4 tostadas. I should have taken a picture but you was exhausted. We went to Oscar's twice while we were visiting Isla Mujeres and I have to say that they definitely have the best pizza I've ever had in my life! We ordered the Oscar's Special both times we visited and it was out of this world, and it was so big that we ended up having more than half a pizza left over each time that the desk and security people at our hotel loved. Just remember if you want the pizza at Oscar's you have to wait until 5pm for them to start serving it; yes it is that good! Service at Oscar's was pretty good, they made sure we were taken care of with drinks and garlic knots while we waited on our pizza to get prepared; it takes a while since the pizzas are fresh and made to order. And the seats at Oscar's rock, made out of drift wood and very comfortable. There are 2 sitting areas at Oscar's; one up front by the road and and another area (main dining room) in the back overlooking the water. Also Oscar's offers delivery on the island, but I can't speak to that since we ate at the restaurant each time, but the guys delivering the pizzas seem to really be on the ball. read more

We have eaten here twice while on the Isle. The grilled shrimp with a side of garlic butter and the langostino (lobster) were seasoned well and the cooked to perfection. They were not over cooked as some places cook their shrimp and lobster until it is hard as rubber. These shrimp tasted like they had be in the ocean the morning we ate them. This review would not be complete without mentioning their pizza. We had the NY style pizza and we wish the crust had been thinner. We did not try the deep dish pizza.
