Well after having a bad experience. I received a message this morning. They are going to comp the next order to us. Like I said maybe it was a bad night, because they have always had great sushi.

Fresh ingredients, fast service, delicious sushi! There was a sign outside the door that said servers needed. There was lots of team work going on where everybody was helping each other out with table clean up, and drink refills. Our food was prepared by the sushi chef in a timely manner. The sushi looked wonderful and tasted really great. Order: Lunch special - 3 rolls for $11.99. choice of miso soup or salad. We choose r Eel cucumber Eel avocado Shrimp tempura Really great service and the food was excellently prepared. I would recommend eating here.

Subpar at best and weird. I know local joints should always cater to local taste and I'm for regionality. BUT this is just weird. How can you combine "sushi" with chow mein? Or have a bento with tempura and fried shuimai (the store bought one)? I've worked in a Chinese restaurant and I know a fried shuimai is at least a day old. I can't say anything about the California roll because it's a California roll. The katsu was bland at best even with the sauce.

Came in on a Friday night around 9 pm. My husband loves sushi I am not a fan but I make my sacrifices where needed lol plus I love chicken teriyaki and this place definitely satisfied that. The chicken was juicy and very flavorful although it came on a bed of onions and I mean a bed lol my husband scooped them up and ate them. Miso soup was flavorless at least to what I am used to. I can only compare to Tachikawa from when I lived in California which was my only Japanese experience. The atmosphere was inviting servers friendly fast and we got hot sake which warmed me up. There was birthdays going on so it was really loud but entertaining. I will be throwing my husbands birthday party here in the near future for sure. Prices are also typical from what I've seen around the area. 47+tip for two beers, 2 rolls, chicken teriyaki and hot sake. Typical date night.

We stopped here en route to Cedar Point. We made reservations for 8:30 and were promptly seated with drinks and appetizers. The atmosphere was standard hibachi, with 8 hibachi grills. Unfortunately, despite it being Saturday there was only 1 chef working. The sushi was good, aside from an octopus nigiri that was very fishy and unfresh tasting. The salmon and tuna was very fresh and nicely prepared. We sat for exactly one hour before our hibachi chef finally came over and started cooking. We had finished our appetizers long before he arrived. We ordered the "honey for two" which comes with chicken, steak, and lobster. We opted to substitute chicken for scallops. This order was somehow miscommunicated and the family across from us got our scallops, and we didn't notice until after it was played. The chef refused to address this and very bluntly told us to talk to our waiter. That item was removed from our bill, but the poor response was surprising. Overall, I was not impressed. The food was just OK but the service was extremely subpar. Our server was super cool, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired.

Terrible service waited for drinks for 25 minutes, took an hour for cook to come out, and the place was dead so no reason for it.

The omakase is a must experience for any foodie and especially for anyone who loves sushi & yakitori! Came here for the first time 4 years ago, and again a few weeks ago. What struck me is that the same head sushi chef was there then and now and that they haven't really changed the menu too much. Yes absolutely there were new and creative twists, but there are tried and true staples which have been mastered. That feels like their vibe overall - friendly, neighborly, confidence in what they have and will keep doing what they're doing, seemingly resisting any pressure to expand or get bigger. It's perfection! The omakase menu has three phases: chef's kitchen, yakitori, sushi (gorgeous nigiri courses finished with the most insane cut roll I've ever had). Everything is delicious. No misses. My favorite phase is the sushi. We STARTED that off with the most melty buttery otoro. I thought that was bold, surely it could only go downhill from there. I was proved wrong bite after bite!! Seriously, imagine a series of nigiri bites that hold their own after the BEST. Of the yakitori, the chicken meatballs were my fave, so juicy never change. Highest quality, well crafted, expertly executed menu. Lowkey I also love that this omakase ends with the most delicious cut roll, and not dessert. As a savory girl through and through, this is perfect. The onlyyyy downside is that all the rich food gives me a bit of a stomachache afterwards :D. 10000% worth it.

Had I had come a minute later there wouldn't have been a table. The fish tasted really fresh. One thing that caught me off guard was the ambiance. It had more of an American pub vibe w very little Asian decor, atleast from what I saw. Also just a tad bit over priced, would I come back? Maybe. This was the most expensive sushi in the city but quality is there.

Nothing negative to say, just wasn't worth 5 stars to me. Would be back on special occasions if that's where our group ended up but wouldn't seek it out myself!
