I went for lunch on a Wednesday. The debit/credit machine was not working when I ordered. I purchased to sushi rolls (Amazing roll and Angus roll). They were delivered relatively quickly on a paper plate. The pepper tuna on top of the Amazing roll was dry and had a strange texture, almost plastic like. Both rolls were swimming in water he ponzu sauce which overpowered the flavor of each. I noticed others getting noodle and hibachi type meals. Perhaps, those are better. Osaka is an A-ok restaurant. The rice bowls are pretty straightforward. The meat is good. Well cooked and well seasoned. The rice is fine, but except for the ones where you're asked if you want broccoli, there isn't any veggies in the bowl. I feel like adding a few slices of veggies would make a nice difference here. The sushi was pretty good. The presentation was nice and the taste was good. I would suggest the Naruto roll. One thing that was a little iffy is that the sushi for the Osaka roll had a slight fishy smell, which is always a sign it's not totally fresh. Overall, not bad though. read more

Gotta say, I was super excited to see a new restaurant opening that wasn't Mexican! Best description I can give is that it is a fast-casual Japanese restaurant. Paper menus are on the counter and once you've decided, you place your order and they'll give you a table number. Food comes out surprisingly quick and has beautiful representation, though I was a little confused by the slices of lettuce that come with the spring rolls and dumplings. I've had the steak bowl and chicken bowl; only complaint I have is the rice was like a sticky-rice and not like the fried-rice I'm used too. Made me think it needed more moisture, but that's just personal preference. Pork fried dumplings were excellent. My favorite roll was the Godzilla. You won't be disappointed. Restrooms are clean. Interior is well lit and welcoming. Self-serve drinks. Self-serve plastic silverware. Several sauces (including sriracha!). They also have a drive-thru pick-up for orders called in ahead. read more

I was in the Army and I have to say I loved my experience with Oriental cuisine. I like everything from spicy Sichuan and Cantonese to Japanese Sashimi and Sushi. When I saw Osaka I assumed that it was Osaka Japanese cuisine. What's that saying about assumptions... I will keep my critic to mostly the food and not about some server who had cigarettes in their back pocket. Whoever that was get a life. In any event, I wanted to take my wife out for something a bit exotic and nice. Believe me this is not the place! I should have ran for cover. I walked in and I thought " OK, this looks promising" I liked the decor, the staff appeared friendly. I ordered a Tokyo Roll and Calamari (which was suppose to be an appetizer) seaweed salad and some sort of shrimp dish which my wife informed me was suppose to me some spicy shrimp dish. Well for starters our entrees came WAY before our appetizer did! The rolls we had were alright, small by comparison to your competitors though. Then the appetizer came by a gentlemen...who said..."I don't work here"...WHAT!!! He then proceeded to tell me "I don't know what the hell this is enjoy" Well, I ordered it and I didn't know what the hell it was! It was suppose to be Calamari it looked like deep fried spider legs and cat butt-holes served on a bed of what looked be two heads of lettuce. I didn't finish it needless to say. These guys have potential but seriously bring your game up! For 50.00 bucks I expect a lot better! Maybe contact Gordon Ramsey to see if he can help redeem you. This is an awesome "take out" location for those of us who want the authentic "at home", but without the extra cost & a drive-thru pick-up!!! I am a regular customer at their location in Vidalia, GA and they have the best food around. The food is healthy and tasty. They have everything from Sushi to Hibachi. They have a very large selection of Sushi. They have everything from Chicken, Beef, Shrimp, Salmon and other choices. If you are a vegetarian they can fix you up for sure. The staff is very nice and they keep the place clean. All the sauces they make themselves its not out of a bottle. The price is also very good for all the food you get. I am so excited about this new location and can't wait to make a special trip to try them out. So happy to see they are expanding they are very good people. Decent sushi and hibachi food at a much more reasonable price than typical. My takeout order was ready in less than 10 minutes. Utensils weren't included in the bag so grab those if you're staying in a hotel like me! House salad with ginger dressing wasn't anything special. Salad did have some cucumbers, which I liked, but the dressing wasn't as flavorful as I'm used to. Hibachi vegetables were ok, the portion was HUGE! Plenty left over for lunch tomorrow.
