Good list of wines and spirits, with wine by the glass still reasonable (€7). I had oxtail terrine as a starter - it was delicious, literally cleaned the plate. Veal liver with mushrooms was outstanding - real wild mushrooms (for those of us visiting from the US, it is a big deal), liver itself perfectly cooked as requested and perfectly seasoned. I like how side dishes are served in the little cups, without clobbering your plate. Had some Basque cake as a desert - that was not my favorite, but that's okay. Excellent service, prompt, friendly, attentive. Definitely recommended. Also reservations are highly recommended.

We got what we looking for - a great UK IPA named Quack was on tap and the service was very friendly. We came back again for dinner and had a wonderful charcuterie plate with stack of delicious cheeses and meets, along with a Parisian sliced baguette. The seats outside face the street and the elevated rail line leading to the Eiffel Tower, perhaps a mile away, a great spot for relaxing and people watching. Great service, great beer, great food.

The atmosphere was very relaxed and they had a great wine selection. For Paris it's well priced and the food is delicious. It's a very popular neighborhood hangout. But what brought us back each night for the rest of the trip was the service. Quentin was great and made us feel like we were home. We had a lovely server as well and she was great too. In a city not known for its friendliness it was a welcome respite.

I opted for a fish special, which was served with guacamole. This appealed to me because I wanted something light and fresh. With my limited French vocabulary, I knew I was taking a risk since I wasn't sure what type of fish was being served. The fish was one I was definitely unfamiliar with and I did not care for the strong taste. In addition, the guacamole it was served over was oddly tart and did not appear to be freshly made in-house. My husband had grilled sausage with mashed potatoes, which he enjoyed. I was happy for the table bread, which I swooped through his pools of gravy. Upon noticing I did not finish my dish, my server asked me if I enjoyed it and I gave her a weak semi-affirmation which, while not exactly honest on my part, felt like the right thing to do since she was kind enough to ask. A table nearby ordered burgers and they arrived looking juicy and delicious, with big cones of frites. I have to admit, I was pretty jealous and would have loved a do-over. On a more positive note, Café Colette is nicely located on a corner block with large windows, which provides a nice, bright atmosphere for enjoying some wine with friends or just with a good book.
