Not a place I would recommend for they did not help me at all with my TKR PT, I did my own research and suggested exercises to help them help me. Always got pushed off to a PT Aide not even a PT Assistant to finish my sessions - I'm talking exercises (and a few of the aides didn't even know how to perform the exercises they were to be assisting me with), not just for ice, as they went on to assist their next patient. It felt very much like a factory and I finally had enough, fired them and found a fantastic PT group who has helped tremendously!! Wish I found Gaffney PT sooner!!!! read more

I can't say enough great things about this office. I broke a bone during the Covid crisis and went in for an x-ray after the accident. They were able to schedule me the same day, followed strict & comforting safety guidelines, and I waited for less than 10 minutes to see the doctor. This all remained true for every visit I had after the inital one. The x-ray technician and the doctor Jarred Trouve are so knowledgeable and kind and patient. Everyone who answers the phone and works at the front desk are always very pleasant and helpful. I ended up having to go see one of the specialists at the Warwick office and had a really bad experience. If you can get to the Providence office, worth it! And the office itself is beautiful, large and modern. read more

HORRIBLE AND INEXCUSABLE Sent a bill to collections on me without ever contacting me by phone, email, text or paper mail to tell me I owed them money. I have no idea why I supposedly owe them, but would've been happy to pay if indeed I owed money. Called the office on a Friday and was seen on a Monday as a new patient with bursitis. I was able to fill out all documents online. I arrived at the appointment on time and was seen right away. The building is very industrial and has a cool vibe. I would actually have had a coffee and surfed the net while waiting without complaint. The doctor ordered an X-ray which I was brought to right away. About 10 minutes later we were reviewing the films and I was on my way. I'm glad I am in with an orthopedic office but hope I don't need to go again! I highly recommend this place. read more

Ortho Rhode Island in Providence is worse than dealing with a bank - mechanistic, greed-driven, NOT care-driven. They are clueless with records, indifferent to patient needs and transparently eager to offer no help at all. In a word, dehumanizing. I've only seen one of their Doctors - Eric Walsh - to be precise, and he reflected the worst attitude held by front-desk check-in staff. He was brusque, distracted, disinterested - disrespectful. I've never had less confidence in a physician. I recommend you seek out an orthopod with less affiliation to corporate practices and more of a commitment to patient care. read more

I was a patient there for a knee replacement, pretty much uneventful. My husbands was complicated and they were way over their heads. Not negligent but really didn't know they should refer him out. They didn't return phone calls while he was in rehab, I had to demand the doctors pager number and direct email address to communicate with him. They also were careless about his medical records, stated that he has cancer which he doesn't. Go elsewhere if you can. read more

It's the third time I'm seeing Tom Cao. I found him to be very professional and knowledgeable. I was afraid of the Cortisone shots but with his supportive and experienced way yet kind and caring quality he possesses made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He has a nice way about him and I would strongly recommend Tom to anyone who would like to feel comfortable, satisfied and content with their visit. absolutely awful. had a referral and made an appointment with ortho rhode island. they No-Showed to their own appointment. i arrived at the Bristol Location 15 min prior to my appointment & no on from this office was still in the building. the other offices in the building mentioned that the people with ortho rhode island left for the day at noon (my appointment was at 330pm) all that ive experiences was an incredible inconvenience and waste of my time. unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

I had a total ankle replacement in October 2018. I elected to have PT at the Foundry, having had a great experience with a total knee replacement PT in 2016. My ankle PT was super, thanks to Cindy and John. Over several weeks they worked with me to get my ankle working and I enjoyed every visit. I am a quality assurance professional who fell and broke a number of bones. I have been so impressed with the service and care provided by Foundry Orthopedics. The waiting time has been less than 10 minutes for everything. They have an x-ray machine and physical therapists on-site so you don't need to go several different locations to have services provided. My surgeon and PA have been down-to-earth and will spend as much time with you as needed. When I have spoken with the people at reception desks or on the phone, they are fully knowledgeable and can answer all your questions in detail. I was very concerned that my TDI form would take forever to go out or get misplaced so the process would need to be started all over again, That didn't happen. Instead, they must have completed it rapidly because I was qualified for TDI in short order. The only thing that I didn't care for was I was told that I needed to book separate appointments to have someone look at my foot and hand issues. This is an insurance requirement, from what I understand, and also because medicine has become so specialized these days that one provider is an expert in hands and another is a provider in feet. To me, that translates to better care. read more

First I visited the website. Looks like a very nice site, well put together. That is until you hit make an appointment and it takes you to the blog and not a place to make appointments. OK so I look for contact info which should be on every page of a website. That is marketing 101 folks. Now I call for an appointment and I am asked what my issue is. I'm ok with that but just a basic answer should suffice. Look the kid answering the phone is not the doctor I am not discussing my issues with her. I am then told they do not have a "foot specialist" on staff so she really needs to know specifics. I thought Orthopedic was specialist enough. Striiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike 2! I am most appreciative to Dr. Plante for his willingness to listen to my issues and give me immediate comfort without an added visit and to prescribe physical therapy where sports is the focus. I am in my 40's now and haven't slowed down. My job puts me in a position which requires me to sit and drive for long hours of the day. My body did not respond well. Dr. Plante understood these concerns and scheduled a physical therapy series within his practice with an experienced sports medicine therapist. Her name is Priya and couldn't be more impressed. She is extremely skilled. After three visits with her, I have been able to see some improvements. She makes me work hard and I am happy to do it. Went twice, will never return again. The only reason I went the second time is because my university's Health Services used to refer me there (I know doctors are much more reticent to refer people to Foundry now). The doctors here have terrible bed side manners, there are absurd fees, and long waiting lines. I felt that the doctors here were not honest, asked for superfluous x-rays, and barely spent time on me. I would recommend you to avoid this place at all costs. read more

I went to see the Dr. Plante for a fractured clavicle. I had to wait almost an hour in the office until I was given an exam room. In total he spent about 5 minutes in the room with me. Basically, all he did was tell me that the bones were lined up, a sling would be only for comfort, not to lift anything heavier than a coffee cup, and see you in 6 weeks. 5 weeks later I receive a bill in the mail charging $226.00 for the office visit and an ADDITIONAL $725.00 for "treatment" of a clavicular fracture. I was absolutely shocked. This was $725.00 for 5 minutes of the Dr.'s time where he basically did nothing to "treat" me. I am extremely disappointed that they think this was necessary. It is a complete rip-off. Needless to say, I cancelled the follow up visit and will not return. Be warned when choosing Ortho Rhode Island - Foundry!!! read more

I found my experience here pretty terrible; extremely long wait, very curt/rude staff, none of my questions were answered, the doctor was in and out in less than 10 minutes, ordered a bunch of x rays that i definitely didn't need and weren't medically indicated (actually; the medical assistant- not the doctor- decided to order the x rays) - i then tried to make a PT appointment but they wouldnt see me for over a month and a half because they were too booked. read more

My family and I have been going to Foundry since I was in high school. Everyone but my dad has been treated there and recieved great care. Ken Furcolo helped each of my family members and took as much time in each visit as we needed.
