He then looked at me and told me 'it sounds like you're just here for pain medication and we don't do that here, so if that's what you want, this isn't the place for you'. I was shocked. I never once asked for pain meds, this is classic male doctor not believing women about our pain. I then asked him what I could do about my pain and he told me to get physical therapy. Why couldn't he just recommend that in the first place? Why did he have to accuse me of drug seeking? I've never taken prescription pain meds for my condition and never asked a doctor for any. This is why I never see male doctors. Complete waste of my time and he made me feel like I was wrong for seeking help for my pain.

Dr Purcell did amazing work on my shoulder, and his staff has gone way beyond what is required of them. I had problems with other places, imaging, labs, things like that, and they were so quick to get on the phone and fix all those problems even though it wasn't their fault, just to make sure i was taken care of. They even delivered to my house, a pneumatic cryo shoulder brace, because they thought it would help with my pain and recovery. To my house, they personally brought it to my house and showed me how to use it! Anyway, I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing Doctor and his outstanding staff for any orthopedic needs you may require. I am beyond happy and pleased by my experience.

I tried to explain this to the doctor, but he interrupted me to say, "you have arthritis. You need a knee replacement." While my Physical Therapist was personally very kind and attentive, I would only work with her for about 10-15 minutes per session and was then passed on to the assistants who were NOT attentive. They would give me my exercises to complete but rather than staying and ensuring I was doing them correctly would run to another patient and work with them, and then I would be sitting there for several minutes inbetween exercises waiting for the assistant to come back. I came three weeks in a row and every week was like this-the facility just seemed like they had too many patients scheduled at once and not enough employees to properly take care of all the patients. As someone who has done physical therapy at several facilities over the years I was disappointed in my care and would not recommend coming here. I gave it a two because I liked my physical therapist but if it wasn't for her I would give this facility a one.

Amazing group of professionals First, the initial consultation/assessment is extremely well done- Doug had prepared for my first appointment by knowing my current situation, had reviewed my xray and images ahead of time and got right to the assessment. Doug's in-depth knowledge of how to treat my joints, muscles, tissue and major spinal hardware and the interconnections with my knees, hips and back following my recent back surgery was impressive to say the least. He comes up with a personalized action plan and we jump right in and get to work. The staff was/is amazing - showing how to do exercises, walking me through the ways to protect my current physical limitations while also motivating me to feel my body 's reactions to the exercises. The last time I went in I asked to see a female doctor (just my preference) and was coming in for a referral to a specialist because I have many chronic illnesses. I was very dissapointed when they sent a male doctor in and not only that this doctor was loud and abrasive and never asked about my previous health history and conditions. He also started immediately questioning me about the medications I was on. I would not recommend seeing Dr. Kurt Bockoven. I would not recommend at all!
