I was weary of giving this job to just anyone, as I wanted a contractor that could not only assess full extent of the water damage, but also to provide an honest estimation to remediate and complete within budget and timelines. I did not want to piecemeal out this job to multiple pros. After interviewing multiple contractors, Pier stood out as the right contractor for the job for the following reasons: - Was a Licensed Contractor (I had multiple vendors tell me how TX does not require license, but for the nature of my job the license was reassuring and proof of the necessary skills to investigate and resolve the root cause) - Was able to talk in detail and show pictures of past bathroom renovations (some contractors stated that they had the skills for the job but could not show evidence of past renovations) - Was able to provide full estimates and itemization of labor and materials (other contractors could not detail their estimate and it only led to more questions of their ability to do the work AND manage costs of project) - Had a great attitude in our initial conversations and happily answered all of my questions regarding his qualifications and experience (many contractors did not respond or seemed annoyed at further questions) After I selected Pier for the job, he wasted no time in getting started. He was able to do the full assessment and shared his findings with me with pictures and video call. Pier kept me actively involved throughout the project. For example, when key decisions were necessary on demolition / purchase of new materials, he asked for my input so that there were not any surprises on impact to the house or costs over runs. As project scope was further defined and changed, Pier was able to update estimates to reflect those decisions. The final results speak for themselves and the craftsmanship of the job exceeded my expectations. Feedback from new tenants and PM reflect it as well.
