Sam wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive painter I interviewed but I could tell right away that he cared about the details and making sure everything was done to my satisfaction. The estimate was fast and accurate and Sam even helped us pick out a new color for the trim. His contracts are very detailed and he tells you exactly what you're going to get and he even offered to alter the contract if I felt something needed to be added. The team started within a week and they did a wonderful job making our house look brand new again. We had several areas of our stucco that had cracking but Sam took care of all of them and even put a fresh coat of polyurethane on our front door. Sam was there personally almost every day and he had me create a punchlist near the end. He personally walked through every item with me, ensuring everything was completed to my satisfaction. In…read moreFebruary I contracted with Adam who represents himself as a contractor for Dominion Fence and Decks using the comapny address on his quotes. Saw him enough times to pay him $2700 dollars for labor and materials. Over the course of the next two months Adam was unable to come to the house to address concerns citing illness as his excuse. He finally stated that he wouldn't finish the job, but his father, the owner of Dominion Fences and Decks, would complete the job. Dennis came and apologized agreeing to finish the job. two months later he still hasn't come by even when I asked that he simply remove the material in my yard. When I asked for a refund I was told that I contracted with Adam, who represents himself as a contractor for Dominion Fences and Decks, therefore Dennis was not liable for his son's debts. Might be true. I intend to file with small claims court in effort to put a lien on their real property. We'll see how that goes. For a frame of reference. There were never any cross words between us. I was not "that" customer. We never got far enough for me to complain. I am a 70 year old woman who hired Adam and his company based on the wonderful work he did for my friend which is why you see some excellent reviews of their work. Why they choose to rip me off is a mystery. Shame of me for not digging deeper into their work history. Seems like this is an occasional pattern for this company. Shame on them for taking advantage of people. I am so disappointed.
