Excellent service with charming and clean interior. Prices are fairly reasonable and the margarita was fantastic. I had fish tacos (3) which is not on the menu. I selected grilled sea bass and it was fresh. My husband had fish fillet (sea bass) prepared in butter, garlic, and chilli threads. Both meals were outstanding.

Great food and great service on Christmas Day. Pretty decorations and music. Definitely will go back next time I'm in town.

We didn't make it here on our first visit to Loreto, so we made a point to go there the first night on a recent trip since a lot of people recommended it. We had 6 people (2 were small kids) and were able to make a reservation through Facebook. They were ready for us as we walked in. They were very nice and immediately asked if we wanted chips and salsa or guac. We said yes. While the guac was good, they ended up bringing us 2 orders, and we got charged for both. We didn't need 2 orders, so just make sure you specify how many order before they bring it. Overall, while they were friendly, and there was a charming ambiance, it was our most expensive meal of the trip, and food and margaritas were just ok. I am glad we checked it out, but we would probably skip it next time.

No idea how there are so many positive reviews for this place. It's just so mediocre. The service was spotty. I ordered chile rellenos no rice add avocado and all of a sudden guacamole shows up at my table. Not mine. But after the expediter left it on my table for a moment, from my waving and gesturing "not mine," finally then picked it up and took it to the right table - oh dear. Food itself was just not great. It had no flavor whatsoever and the chile relleno batter was oily and soggy. Sure, I can't do a lot of spice, but there was no zip at all. I find it hard to believe that the sauce on the entrée was made in house. It really tasted out of a can. When it came time to pay the check, the food wasn't even on the check. I had to point it out. Duh. Also, did not feel that the placemats and napkin holder was sanitary. There were some stains and it just looked shabby. Flies kept buzzing over and landing on my table or my food if I wasn't fanning them away. It also was a bit pricey, for what was really unremarkable food. On the positive, it's a nice shady patio and they allow dogs. TL/dr: Not terrible but not at all noteworthy.

La comida aquí es más bien para turistas, completamente desabrida. Se me figuraba a comida en una cafetería institucional. Peor tantito, el jovencito no me escuchó bien y me trajo pescado en salsa de mango en vez de coco. Cómo no había probado ninguno de lis dos platillos, no sabía que era, pero el sabor del mango me dio asco. El jovencito siguió insistiendo que yo había pedido mango, que jamás hubiera hecho. No quería discutir. Otro mesero ofreció arreglar el asunto, pero se me quitaron las ganas de comer. Las verduras no tenían sabor a nada. La salsa picante tampoco tenía mucho sabor. Mi esposo dijo que las enchiladas estaban más o menos. El arroz y los frijoles estaban bien preparadas. El ambiente es agradable y parece que los demás clientes disfrutan mucho de las bebidas alcohólicas y la comida. No nos gustó para nada.

We stopped by this local restaurant in Loreto Mexico where the food was good but not as amazing as I would have liked. However I am likely biased as I grew up eating latin food. However the service was incredible. The ambiance was also great, with a lively and vibrant atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Overall, it was an amazing dining experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine.

Friendly service. Chicken empanadas, crab enchiladas with rice & beans, chip with salsa & the best guacamole. Absolutely no complaints from the table, the food is delicious! Let's not talk about the Cadillac margarita . Only thing i would ask is less ice so I wouldn't have to order two...lol. The place is open air with a palapa in back.

Wow! One of the best specials I've ever had...jumbo shrimp wrapped with bacon and fresh seabass in butter and garlic. Amazing coconut shrimp! Fantastic accompanying sauces. Quaint, outdoor setting with lots of shade and privacy. Plates are all hand made. If you're in Loreto, definitely worth the visit.

Now in a new location just across from the old spot. Beautiful shaded patio dining in the back so minimum street noise. Excellent food. Excellent Coconut shrimp with a mango sauce and red enchiladas were very good. Frijoles charros which you don't see everywhere. Highly recommend

Margarita which was 4 parts ice and one part margarita

Had the flank steak nachos which were totally Gringo. I have had more authentic Mexican food where I live. Ambiance was so so as the restaurant shares a chain link fence with a day care or school with screaming 5 yr olds. They do play loud music that drowns out the school yard. Margaritas were about $9 and all ice. We go to Loreto very often and although I saw good reviews on Yelp and another review site, my experience was no so great.

Food was excellent - get something with their famous poblano sauce or the cilantro sauce if you like cilantro. We went here for brunch and dinner on several occasions. Service is good as well and it's a nice outdoor place with plenty of shade. Most tables are in close proximity to one another and people were always friendly at nearby tables. Fish dishes were fresh and the portions were good. Combo plates were very large - American sized as they say.

Nice environment Good food - not great food. It's a bit of a "max profit" environment vs a genuine local restaurant. We especially enjoyed the Guacamole with chips and salsa (which we didn't order, but were charged for)... but appreciated the high quality fresh guacamole preparation. Happy to pay, just prefer to order our own apps. Always pushing the highest priced entrees ... that's my experience from just one visit today. 400 pesos for a lunch fish special ... well you get my drift. Weak Service when our female staff member headed home at 3pm. Great service when she was working. Margs started great, then slowly deteriorated by the third cocktail. Could be a changing bartender etc I would say "good, not great." Pricey and opportunistic with pricing. Low value but a nice experience overall... Prob won't return any time soon I've cream and fruit bars next door are "amazing!!)

This was a nice spot to have lunch and take in the local culture. There was a very laid back vibe and the food was awesome! The waiter was friendly and made sure we were taken care of. We highly recommend this place.

I've brought my own fish here to be cooked a few times. They often discouraged me from ordering sashimi. Very touristy they always speak English first. I speak ok Spanish and always speak Spanish first in Mexico. Each time I sent a couple pounds of fresh fish to the kitchen it seemed as if about 3/4 of the fish came back on our plates. Just saying. It always seems like there are many bowls of delicious sauces on the plate and not so much fish. read more

Every single meal is delicious- during our stay I had the cilantro fish for dinner, several mezcal margaritas (the best ones of the trip!) and huevos divorciados for breakfast. Everything was so fresh and delicious, every sauce was amazing. 10/10 always for Orlando's read more

This was my last stop in Loreto before a long night of flights. I had been craving enchiladas verde since I got to Mexico and this was my last chance. It had been recommended by a friend that they are good here...and they ARE good here! We started with the guac, which though quite delicious, not the best I had in Loreto. The enchiladas, on the other hand, were muy deliciosa! The presentation was lovely, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was quite comfortable. We also had the limonade made with mineral water, which became my favorite beverage of this trip. read more

Had the special sea bass with poblano cream sauce and was not disappointed. So delicious. Fish cooked to perfection and the sauce was just perfect. Served with steamed veggies that were a bit bland but still okay. Accompanying beverage was a delicious mango margarita. Yum. The service was excellent. I'll be back again soon. read more

I have been coming to Loreto for at least eight years. Orlando's was the first place we ate with in Loreto. And, it is consistently, the place we head to when we get back to Loreto. In our opinion, they simply set the standard for restaurants in Loreto. There are other places we really enjoy, but Orlando's begins and ends with YUMMMM! Their food is fantastic, their drinks are always good, and they just have great service. We're home now, but just writing this review makes me crave their sea bass for dinner or Jilly's Chile's for breakfast. I just have to repeat one thing.... All the people who work here, the Chef, the waiters, bartender, and management just can't be beat. read more

Horrible service. I came here for a birthday brunch, over a weekend I was in Loreto. And I asked Orlando, if he could save my place, since there was a wait. He told me to come back in 20 minutes. When I did, he gave my seat away to an elderly couple, because they could spend more money. Then, he sat me at the worst table, and I said I wouldn't sit there. It was my birthday. Worst service in Loreto. I found Orlando to be a greedy and rude man. Also, it was horrible chilequiles with mole. I don't recommend that place. When I told Casas Carmen what happened, they felt so bad, they made it up to me. read more

They did an outstanding job on Covid protection Loreto is a fishing town. Honestly if your not a fisherman you probably have no business here. Outstanding staff. Very cordial as is what you should expect in Mexico. Restaurant people are always courteous. The guacamole was some of the best I have ever had. Freshly made when you order it. It is served with "totopos" which are home made tortillas chips. Ii then had the fish soup. Fresh fish broth fresh local cabrilla with fresh vegetables. Great. I had a platter with bacon wrapped shrimp steak and a chile relleno. It was great. I should have saved room and not eaten the soup but it was all too good. read more

We had an amazing dinner, I ordered the special that was being offered that night and it was awesome. Our waiter was Eddie and he was very good. We had a fabulous dining experience. If you are there in September make sure you have a fan, the flies were a huge problem. The staff was very gracious and made sure we had a fan . I don't know if this is a problem during the winter. Great location near the downtown area . We will definitely be back.. read more

Our last full day in Loreto we stopped in for lunch. Two rounds of Margaritas, shots and beer later and our food arrived, and boy oh boy was it worth the wait. Camarones de Coco and Pescado Cilantro...Excellente! The food was fresh and delicious. So sad I waited until the last day to venture out. The food at Villa Del Palmar was so disappointing and this was so wonderful. My strategy for our next visit is to shuttle here for lunch or dinner and do breakfast and snacks at our resort. No all inclusive for us at VDP. read more

With so many great reviews, what could go wrong? We waited 5 minutes at the door to be seated. Host saw us, ignored us. Once we were seated, 15 minutes passed with no server coming by. After ordered two drinks and two entrees, we ran out of drinks and things to talk about. 55 minutes passed without a server checking in. Dinner was finally served, and the food was fine, nothing spectacular. We finished dinner and spent 15 minutes begging for the check. Horrendous treatment of customers. We are a 60-ish, non-descript American couple. WTF? I would describe the hosts as arrogant, because they're busy and don't need to be attentive. With so many other great Mexican restaurants within two blocks, choose any other place to give your good money. Wow. read more

First time in Loreto and on a cruise ship. This restaurant was the find. Most on the main square are busy and kind of crowded. This is a block or two away. Very cute place. Great, friendly staff. Super authentic food, served on pottery plates. We had nachos (great salsa, guacamole), fish special, shrimp Chile Rellenos (amazing!), and the pozole outstanding. If you want a small something or a larger something, their motto is "nothing is impossible". Just ask. We are so glad we found this place. And many thanks to the other Yelpers for recommending. read more

My family of 7 came to Loreto for the first time for 4 days and we ate at Orlando's THREE TIMES because it was DELICIOUS and authentic. The staff was so welcoming, it felt like home. If you go to Loreto, Orlando's is a must. I've been back home for one day and I miss it!!!! read more

Our favorite - AND we went back twice which is rare on vacation. It is right off the main drag in town, but don't worry, it is all good. Prices are so reasonable - we each had a big ol margarita, guacamole, tostados as a starter (could have been a meal right there), then a delicious fish of the day entree'. For 3 of us - $30. And, so well worth it. Loved the woman making fresh corn tortillas right on site. We ordered 1/2 dozen to go and cooked them up with some eggs for breakfast. We were serenaded by 3 sweet young men - although theirs voices were nothing to write home about - it was touching nonetheless. Wish our hotel were closer as breakfast looked to be $3! A special local place. read more

Go here, fresh fish good drinks and delicious hot cocoa. Staff was iffy though, went on 2 separate occasions the night staff was amazing, morning staff a little up tight. Both very respectful however just forgetful. read more

Loved this place for breakfast. Does not get better then this. My spot for breakfast while I am here. Everything we had was good. Also they where flexible to our orders when we asked for eggs fried with certain veggies and crispy bacon. Also they had hash browns!! read more

Omg best Mexican food of my life. Bacon wrapped shrimp. Fish tacos. Fajitas. I've never ordered anything here that disappointed. I even learned I can order an orange aqua Fresca from the ice cream shop next door (which is also amazing) from Orlando's waiters :) read more

What an amazing experience! First time here in Loreto I was recommended to come here by one of locals. Today is my birthday and they made it special! The food was amazing! My mom and I had fish tacos mine was fried and my moms was grilled we both fell in love! We each had a tequila shot well I had two lol and the it was soooo smooth and amazing! No no NO! Service is glacial. Greasy fried chips - no way!! No authentic Mexican restaurant serves greasy fried chips ever! Food is average with some tiny hints of excellence here and there, but not enough of them to impress. This place is only if you don't have any other option. Otherwise, there are other places around with better food and ambiance. read more

We had a delicious breakfast here at Orlando's. Every table was taken at this quaint little eatery. The service was exceptional for how busy they were. Orlando himself even stopped by our table for a really nice chat. Good food and very friendly people. I recommend getting a glass of the fresh orange juice and egg stuffed chili with a side of beans and chilaquiles. Delicioso. read more

We found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out. True that it doesn't look like much from the street, but the food and service were amazing! I had the fish with mango sauce and oh.my.goodness!! Muy delicioso!!! We will definitely be back next time we are in Loreto! read more

Really great. Huge portions and low prices. The best tortilla soup I've ever had. Some chicken in the soup would have taken it over the top. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I had the cilantro fish. Huge piece of fish and perfectly cooked. My aunt had a steak and salad. My uncle had the fish vera cruz style. My wife had quesadillas( total gringo). The bill was about 30.00 for all that. Oh and we all had beverages too, soft drinks and I had a pineapple aqua fresca. read more

I've been dining at Orlando's for years. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, doesn't matter. Food and service always top notch. Bartender introduced my adult daughters to "coconut margaritas" and now they are hooked. Can't go wrong unless you are looking for the more "high end" dinner. read more

Last year a 4* this year down to 3*. No more 2x1 margaritas and our 2 fish dishes (with 4 margaritas) went from $20 usd to $33 with only 2 margaritas). Used to get salsa (3 kinds) w/chips automatically brought to table, today asked if we wanted to add an appetizer, guacamole or salsa and chips. Our budget is smaller this year so Orlando's no longer at top of our list. read more

The food was good but the service was not good. I would give them -5 star is possible. The servers did not give us spoons, knives and fork. Even when we asked they did not bring it to us. The place was not crowded but the 2 male servers were busy watching videos on their phone. Finally, when the bill arrived, they took the cash and did not even bother to return the change.
