I called out of work so they could come service my house and at 8am they send me a message saying they rescheduled me for Thursday November 10th. No phone call was made to me to apologize or make me aware of this change. Now I have missed a days worth of work and my house was not serviced. We started using Orkin at my company quite a few years ago. One of our 3rd shift guys caught a (non-poisonous) snake in the building, and that was that for a couple of the people working here. There was no way they were coming back in if there were snakes in the building (apparently there's a fear of reptiles here). Anyhow, when I came in the next day it was requested (demanded?) that we find a pest control company to come in and figure out how the snake got in and how to keep them out going forward. So, I found myself calling around for a pest control company who could do an evaluation and then potentially provide services for our (then) 20,000 square foot building at a reasonable price. Orkin gave us a very reasonable quote and was quite prompt in their reponse. We had the tech come out, and he determined that the snake was after mice (wait, we have mice?? More panic ensued here from those afraid of mice but not snakes). Turns out there was quite a lot of mouse activity (we're right next to a large wooded area), especially in the winter (I think this was January?). Anyhow, our dock doors were not exactly secure from all critters, especially little ones that can squeeze themselves through very small areas. So, we started having Orkin come every month to provide pest control at the building. Even as we have grown (now 40,000 sq ft) the price has remained pretty much the same. The minimal increase for the footage added was no issue for us, and the few times that we've had to pay extra were because of things we did (damaged tin-cat rodent traps, etc). We are very pleased with our tech (Jorge), and with Orkin's responsiveness to our needs. We have had a few odd-ball instances of bugs (one roach once, and a flood of termites that we think may have come in on a pallet of boxes), and they came out right away to see what (if anything) needed to be done at that time. They respond quickly to all calls, and they are here promptly each month for our service. The only complaint I have ever had was the one time that Jorge thought I'd be interested to see what he caught in one of the traps - turned out to be a black widow - and I am TERRIFIED of spiders (I don't care if it's dead or not). Hired them to put a moisture barrie, chemical treatmen, and dehumidifier in my basement. The plastic barely covers the entire dirt floor, none of the supports were wrapped. Dehumidifier was plugged directly into a 50 year outlet in the basement which tripped our breaker every time we did dishes for 2 years. Finally after refusing to pay my payment to Rollins Co. An electrician was sent to repair the power problem by installing a separate breaker for the dehumidifier(which should have been done originally) however he completely tore up the wall of our newest renovated kids room doing so and left with no offer to repair. $6000 is what this cost. WARMING ::: BEWARE :::WATCH OUT::::: If you are't aware of the old BATE & TRICK GAME, please take just a few minutes and read this brief message. I really wish I would have read a posted warning, my mistake was a costly one. LOOK CLOSELY at every page you initia on l the blank line. It was in the year of "2014". I walked out of my lake house on lake Sidney Lanier on beautiful sunny morning to enjoy the view while I had my cup of java. Instead I was greeted by a Huge swarm of termites. "Yikes" not what I was expecting. I really had not had any experience dealing with Pest Control companies so I did not choose Orkin by their name, I simply chose the company that could get to my house the fastest and that turned out to be Orkin. To my lack of knowledge I assumed they would go to work eliminating and spraying once they arrived, but they walk through the house walking around the house went to their vehicle and then came back in with a stack of papers. All along it was my intentions to hire a company just stop the termites and had no interest in having a monthly Pest Control around my house and inside my house done monthly because of my animals. Once I sign the papers has approximately two and a half weeks before they return to do the actual work of Exterminating and protecting my home from termites. After they were finished to cell representative for Orkin came into my home and laid out the paperwork which I signed and I was told that I had a warranty if I ever had termites that I was insured now for work and being that they had done the termite control on my residence. Well to make a long story short I actually thought that was it they came they fixed and they left, however they came every month and it was my impression it's over coming to inspect the termite Slice on the outdoor my home and never once did they Offer to or treat the inside of my home. I realize now it was my responsibility to read the contract thoroughly, but in the stack of papers apparently there was a contract hiring them to do my inside and outside monthly Pest Control which I was Bill $99 a month for and never once have they enter my home in the three years to date. I have received a phone call a week ago from a supervisor and I explained to him that I do not have Pest Control and he was as confused as I was and asked if I would meet today the 15th of August with their agent. I explained to the agent during our brief conference I didn't know that I had bought pest control for my inside and around my house it was my understanding that I contracted them to do the termites. It was actor of a few back and forth with each other but he told me that they would turn me over for collections if I didn't you know pay the bill so I told him at that point I wasn't interested in their services, and he continued to tell me about the brown roaches that live in the trees and the big carpenter ants and I politely said shut it down I don't want what you're selling you're wasting my time and your time. well he was kind enough to tell me if I didn't pay my bill it would be turned over for collections so I asked for a phone number to their corporate office or branch office in Gainesville which I called and spoke with the lady I think her name was Joyce and at first she was just like me she thought I only had a contract for the termites, but after a few minutes miraculously she found the contract for the pest control. Explain to the lady that I was told by the agent if I didn't pay him I'd be turned over for collections and the lady assured me that would not happen I do not owe them anything and I asked her not to have them come back out to my residence. After my phone call with this nice lady went back Outdoors where the agent was standing on my front porch and I explained to him that I talk to the lady and it was going to be no collection then I wouldn't be sued and he continued to tell me well that's not right in this net so and so many words I kindly ask the man just to leave and I said if you come by to spray for pests inside my house will be Criminal Trespass don't come back, and then he made the smart comment back to me what does that mean the termites also we're not supposed to come out and check the termites I said no it has nothing to do with the termites I hired you I paid you in full the contracted agreement and I was supposed to have insurance through them if I ever had termites that they would fix it whatever and he then said yes that is correct. I'm sorry this was such a long drawn-out story but I wanted to let you know how these big corporations do the bait and switch they sold me something I didn't know I was buying and I paid for it for 2 years hundred bucks a month so just be careful I would not recommend Orkin read more

William was very professional. He explained everything he was doing and what it will do in detail. I leaned more in an hour with him than 4 years with our previous company.
