I had the pleasure of actually speaking to Nick with Orkin, who did my monthly spraying. Since I used to work full-time, I always knew he was there; But I never had the pleasure of actually meeting him now that I am retired, I was able to actually speak to him. I felt the need to write this review. My location St. Louis. I originally tried Orkin and another well known pest control. My finally decision came down to Orkin. As for value compatible to most pest control companies to. The tech that was sent to my home is Pam out the Fenton office. She is great. She's a true professional and great representation of the company. She definitely works completing our needs as far as pest control. If I had to recommend Orkin to someone I would have them ask for Pam. read more

I had someone come out and totally misdiagnosed the situation, so I continued to struggle with the mice coming into my house. my landlord figured out the problem and it was fixed . I called Orkin and was told a manager would contact me and heard nothing. Today someone called me and offered to send someone out. I requested a manager and have not heard anything back. read more

1 star! Because someone showed up!!! I STILL have my issues that I called them for. They spend more time outside than coming in. But always bill you for a complete job! My issues are inside!! The reps on the phone are pitiful! VERY! Nonchalant, rude, just plane ignorant! I've emailed the branch manager! No response. I will make sure ALL my colleagues choose another company! Omg , I am just reading other reviews and wish I have done so sooner. The facility manager Jim just seems as if he ignores all calls and appointments on his agenda . I have a wasp issue , as well and was told they can service it and when the rep came out he refused to spray the tree . The manager stated he will come out access the tree abs provide a solution . Here I am 2 weeks later with not even a call back . I have called abs called and called . As early as yesterday that added me on Jim schedule to then not even see him for the time slotted and still can't get him on the phone . A rep named destiny have listened : took notes and politely tried to ease my concerns . She too was not able to get her manager to call back . As I type I am now on hold as I have asked to speak to the branch manager . Unbelievable i just ended the call with the branch manager and still no true accountability . Jim should be fired seriously ..... this is so horrible I just cancelled the service overall , extremely frustrated and disappointed . What a waste of time . read more

I was not impressed with my choice to use Orkin. (reveiwing Orkin of Springfield Missouri 2555 S Livingston St 65803) A year ago (March 2021) we found out to our absolute horror we had bed bugs! Naturally my knee jerk response was to call a professional and get rid of them NOW. I called Orkin. The initial inspection was $99 but if I decided to go with them for the extermination that $99 would be applied to my treatment cost. Sadly I did not shop around or read reviews. I hired them pronto because I just wanted them GONE. My small 400 sq ft apartment cost $1200 to treat. (I later found out that several other companies in my area with really good reviews charged in the $300=$400 range with a free initial estimate whether or not you went with them). Ok my bad for not doing my due diligence and shopping around. I know better now for the future. Treatment day arrived and the exterminator showed up. I'm not one to point fingers but he had to climb six steps (just six) to get to my apartment and this 300 lb man could barely breathe by the time he knocked on my door carrying his hose and canister. I remember thinking "how on earth is he going to be able to actually do this job which requires moving around a heavy mattress set and some other pieces of furniture?" He was all alone. We were told at the beginning that the treatment would include wrapping our box springs and mattress as well with a bedbug proof cover. Putting on one of those covers is really a job especially on a heavy queen mattress set. We left the apartment and returned when he was finished to issue a check but due to the chemicals we didn't go in the apartment at that time. When we did go back in our mattress and box springs had not been wrapped as promised. I called Orkin and they said "Oh the customer has to do that." But it was in my contract! So they said "Well we'll drop by a cover set and you can put it on." What the heck did I just pay $1200 for!!?? Certainly not to do their job for them! There was a gooey white ring on my night stand where they had set a can of some type of spray on my dresser and left it there. There is liquid run marks on my solid oak headboard that to this day have never come off and liquid spray run marks all over the walls that when we moved out of the apartment recently got charged $250 to repaint. Orkins response to all this??? Thank you for giving us the chance to serve you have a nice day! How does that resolve my 100% satisfaction guarantee claim? I'm not 100% satisfied to say the least. I don't normally write reviews but I felt strongly enough to do so after my experience with this branch located here in the St. Louis area in the hopes of helping someone else avoid going through the same thing or this branch making some changes. We contacted Orkin to help clear up a few mice after sightings and ensure there wasn't a larger problem. The corporate office representative who set us up was helpful enough. But the technicians who showed up barely did anything, one guy picked up a dead mouse with his bare hands. They charged us $400+ to throw a few glue traps down, patch up one hole with steel wool and spray something that "mice love and would be sure to entice them into traps". Every tech that came out had no idea what had been done previously and their efforts didn't catch a SINGLE mouse in 2 months. We ended up addressing the problem elsewhere after the problem escalated and things got worse. When I wrote feedback saying I was unhappy with the service, no one reached out to me to figure out if anything could be done, radio silence. Very disappointing to say the least. The "extermination" service and customer service are not worth what they are charging. Do your research before using this company/branch as your money is very likely best spent elsewhere. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! I have never received such disrespect and unprofessional management in a company. We had a big guy come walk our property and talk with us. Explained everything to us and each additional service. My husband signed up for outdoor treatment, double checking it covered the pest we were looking to weed out. When the guy came he literally only sprayed the cracks of our home. The man explained to me that what we were looking to clear out wasn't covered under what he put down. I called and told them that wasn't what we ordered and without listening they reset the man back out to redo the same service. I said no this isn't what I want! By this point whatever was put down had made the pests worst. They were not tripling in the amount as well as moving into my home! I called again and spoke to a manager and explained to him what was going on. He sent a new man. This man told us we had to leave our home so he could do a flea treatment. We refused the service and I called the manager again. This time I made it clear we only wanted outdoor treatment and the pest we were trying to clear out as I thought I had done the first few times. They came out and prayed the yard. Still, didn't help at all. Again only made things worst. Then I found out they sent a bill to collections for the treatments I didn't ask for and complained about numerous times. They never tried to call me first. Most likely because they knew I didn't ask for them services. Then I called another manager and turns out the first manager just left state and this guy is new and has no record of everything. Said he can't help me and once in collections there is nothing he can do but he is about to send my second bill to collections as well. For what !?! They never did the treatments I asked or checked back. I tried calling him back to fit the issue and they told me he wasn't in and I left a message for him to contact me. It's been two days and nothing since. I'm in shock! How can a company be ran like this and treat people this way? How can you guys charge people for things they didn't even order. I never signed anything. My husband did the first day but they aren't even billing him. They are billing me. I'm debating taking this to small claims court just because of the fact. I will never deal with orkin again. It's clearly nothing but a scam. UPDATE : I'm not sure who replied to my review, if it was the fenton location or higher up. However, I called the Fenton location back today just to be told it's out of my hands and basically it is what it is. No resolution. I had a Orkin rep come to my house and for an hour or so told me what I needed...he quoted me a price and I signed a contract. On Monday the rep calls to tell me that he misquoted me and his manager won't honor it!!!! Very poor customer service! I spoke with the manager a he refuses to honor it!! read more
