I don't know if it was just an off day today due to going after their 80th anniversary and their buy one get one free today... but their chili wasn't the same consistency. It was watered down making it runny. So it lacked its original flavor. On top of that there were only 3 cars in front of us and we waited from 30-45 minutes In the drive thru just to get to the window to pay. They need more help and employees. Big fan of Tommy's. But this location needs some work. The lines take forever to move along. By the time you get your food it's all cold. The fries weren't even cooked all the way and hardly got enough chilli. My burrito was poorly wrapped and has become so small compared to what Tommy's use to serve. read more

Tommy's is a chain in California, especially in Southern California. I don't know if they have also opened out of State yet, but I don't think so. If you are in Southern California and like unhealthy, greasy, amazingly great chili burgers, chili dogs and everything chili it is a must stop. This one is in Pico Rivera. Not all Tommy's are perfect. This one is. We did the drive thru this time, we usually eat there. The line was long, but moved super fast. When we got to the pick up window are food was ready and it was as ordered. The service is really nice and they are fast. Always ask if they have a special going, they often do, but they are not posted at the store, they are on social media. The outside is spotless and they maintain it all so well. It is super cute. The food is great. Now, this is not some expensive chili burger you will get at a mid range eatery, this is the real thing. The chili is great and yes it has grease, just enough to make you love it. The burgers are not huge, you can order a double or triple if you want that. They come with cheese, tomato, lettuce and onion. You can get it without the chili if you want. They are all great. The chili fries are so good. Sometimes we just get the fries because we have chili on everything else, but it is so good and you get a lot. It comes with cheese on it, we order it without it. All their other items from their breakfast burritos, to shacks and drinks are excellent. their shakes are huge, we order a small one. And try their chili dog. YUM If you want health food, go elsewhere. If you want great food and don't care about your diet for a day go to Tommy's. read more

2.5 stars. Haven't had Tommy's in decades. I was feeling nostalgic and decided to treat myself. 1) drive through took what seemed like an excessively long time for a chilli cheeseburger and fries with only 1 car ahead of me. 2) the food was cold. Cheese wasn't even melted. Wtf. The Tommy's flavor was there, but the food was cold af. 3) ok,there's inflation and things cost more. I get it. But if I'm going to pay $11+ for a cheeseburger and fries, they better be well made, or at the very least served hot. The fries were like $4.50 and a small portion for that price. So, 2.5 stars because it still tastes like Tommy's, but 0 stars due to the cold food, high prices and small portion of fries. read more

OK fine. I broke one of the golden rules when being out of town and searching for "local cuisine". I had my first Tommy's world famous chili burgers. I told my colleague I wanted something I couldn't get back home and when we drove by one of these locations, we did just that... gave it a try. So the chili burger is a burger with chili, pickles, onions, and tomato's on your basic fast food restaurant bun. As of yet my stomach has not revolting. The burger wasn't quite what I expected. The pickles were piled high, overwhelmed every other flavor on the sandwich. The sandwich was cooked just fine. The portion size was good. But to me it just wasn't that tasty. They do offer quite a few options on this basic burger, but something like the thought of cheese or doubling the burger and chili just didn't seem appealing. Yesterday I went to buy our lunch, a double cheeseburger, chili cheese tamales, 2 chili cheese dogs, 4 drinks and spent over $50. When I got home and we about to eat our food, we all noticed that the portions (on everything ) was decreased by more than 30%. The cheeseburger looked like a Jr burger, the chili dogs looked like a senior citizen meal, and the tamale looked like they cut it in half. I could understand (maybe) the dramatic increase in prices, but to add noticeable shrinkflation to it is very much shocking and disappointing. This only shows that the business is only trying to squeeze as much out of the public (for profits) without a care for customer satisfaction. Been here a couple times and always been pretty good.. Double chili cheese burger with some chili fries, cant go wrong. I mean, it could, but hasnt at this location as of yet. No indoor seating, and has about 6 small benches outside.. So you can order inside, and eat outside. It has a small drive thru that wraps around the whole building. I stopped by to order a soft serve and ended up waiting in the drive-thru line for 30 minutes, only to be told at the window that they were out of ice cream. It would have been much more considerate to inform me of this at the time I placed my order--especially since there were no other cars behind me, and I could have easily backed out and gone elsewhere. What made the situation more frustrating was the attitude I received. The employee at the window seemed amused, smirking as if the situation was a joke. Additionally, I noticed both her and another staff member inside laughing, which came across as unprofessional given the circumstances. Even if they were unable to communicate through the intercom again, someone could have stepped outside to let me know since they were no longer preparing food since it was just me at that moment. There are a few Tommy's now. The original is in Los Angeles, but it has no seating. This one is in Pico Rivera and just like all the others is great. This one has a drive thru and you can eat inside if you want, which is what we prefer. The service is super nice. They are making your burger for you, so give them a minute. Their chili is the best. It is greasy and great. Their burgers with chili are the best junk food you will ever have. It is all so great. We also love their chili fries and chili dogs. Whatever you get, just have them put chili on it and you will be ever so happy. The place is very clean and the bathrooms well maintained. So go there, forget your diet for the day and live. I'm so disappointed in Tommy's, The famous chili dog is cut down to almost half its size, they also have a new supplier obviously because the winnies tast different, still snap when bitten but different taste, the chili dog used to fit long way in the box, 11.00 for 1 chili dog and a bottle water. But the prices through the roof for there numbered combos?? Each over 12 $'s I had to figure out which was less expensive instead of a combo for 2 People? I had not eaten Tommy's in over a year due to my health. After getting a clean bill I decided to try my old favorite Chilli Cheese Hot Dog. What I found was a hot dog that looked like it shrunk to a small baby. I remember hot dogs with the bun being the small part of it. Now I get an average hot dog . Not happy. I went when it was slow. 2 cars in the drive thru. I ordered one burger with light chili, one chili burger with peppers & one cheese burger with peppers. One fry & one chili cheese fry. They put light chili on all of the burgers & put peppers on the 2 burgers (no cheese) Plus hardly any cheese on the fries. $30 for a messed up order.
