Once you arrive you are greeted very welcoming, clean open and cozy at the same time. Came in for lunch to find a nice selection of lunch specials The food is served to you as soon as it's done so be ready it's Sooo good!!

I'm not gonna lie like I wasn't the most convinced that Rexburg Idaho was going to deliver on their Asian cuisine on my family vacation here this summer but honestly the prices and the flavor were pretty good for what they were. Recommend the Pad See Ew and the beef noodle soup. Service was decent and they were really busy. Restaurant is sort of dimly lit and the floors are a bit grimy but it's ok. The kitchen is also open air which is good for the aromas.

Took our order a little late, the food was great I ordered the beef noodle and it tasted fresh, though it was a bit to sweet for my liking. It was set at a great price of 11.95, overall I definitely recommend it if you love Thai food.

Crab rangoons

Even though it's the only thai place in town, it's still great thai food. The crab rangoons were so crunchy with creamy filling, although the sauce was pretty runny. My husband thinks the drunken noodles are perfect, today I tried the pad woon sen (I might be getting the name wrong) at the recommendation of our waitress and the flavor was DELICIOUS. I am not the biggest fan of glass noodles, but I still would definitely get the dish again. I know pad thai is a classic dish but if you're going here I recommend something different as I don't think it's their strongest dish. Kind of dim lighting and the decorations are a little weird sometimes, but that's part of the fun and the ambience!

I heard a good review and wanted to check it out. We stopped off and had 4 in our party. There was another party of 4 and two parties of two in the restaurant. The ambiance is absolutely dreadful. One fluorescent light on in the front, hanging Chinese lanterns all over that barely have a light source along with table top battery candles. The place is so dark that we had to put the fake candle up to it. I asked the waitress why is it so dark? She said it was to match the theme. She said next time you come in it won't be so dark. You have dark brown walls and acoustic ceiling tiles. The music is a little loud and you might think you're in a night club. We placed our order and we're very surprised how quickly it came out. I got the panang curry with beef and the pad Thai with tofu. I started with the crab Rangoon's. The flavors were good, nothing exceptional. The crab Rangoon's were good, just needed more crab filling. The panang curry had good flavor, but the beef was very chewy. The pad Thai was good and a nice spice level.

First impressions matter, and the first impression I got when entering the store was that it was dark as hell. Thankfully, our waitress gladly turned on the light for us to see the menu. Not that this matters, but the bathroom looks like a trap from the Saw movie franchise. I ordered the Mango Curry with spice level 3, and still had to add on the chili powder after they brought it out. The food itself was good and unique - mango surprisingly complements the curry well. Fisherman in Love was a unique plating interpretation of Thai pasta, mussel, squid, and shrimp. No other comments. Everything tastes like its supposed to. Here's where they missed the mark: fried rice. I've had different fried rice from different Asian countries, including Thailand, but I don't think I've ever had soggy fried rice. The white rice that came with the Mango Curry was moist and steamed (as it it should be), but the fried rice in contrast was way too wet to what I'm used to eating. I almost had to throw it away if it wasn't for the hungrier members in our group.

1. Food: 3.5/5 - Panang Curry with beef: The portion is decent. The taste is okay (neither too plain nor too salty). The beef is not chewy. - Tom Kha with Shrimp (hotpot size): The portion good, especially the shrimp portion. Big plus is that they are generous in giving us the amount of shrimp. The taste is okay too (not too special though). Since Tom Kha tastes sour, the level of sourness is good. - Thai tea: Thai tea is not that great. It's okay. I feel it's missing the taste of Thai tea (maybe because portion of half&half/milk or whatever is more than the portion of the tea?) In general, if I have to compare the food in this Thai restaurant, I would say it's average if you compared to many Thai restaurants in big cities. However, since it's located in Rexburg ID, I would say it's definitely above average. 2. Customer service: 5/5. It seems like he is the owner of the restaurant. He is fast and seems nice as well. 3. Price: 5/5. The price is really decent here, especially if I have to compare with the portion served. 4. Location and parking: 5/5. I'm not familiar to Rexburg ID but it looks like it's located in the downtown of Rexburg. I'm not sure if they have the parking on the rear. However, the restaurant has parking on the street right in front of the restaurant. I came in during lunch time in the weekday and there were so many available parking lots on the street in front of the store. 5. Ambience and interior design: 3.5/5. Ambien is casual. It's good for family and big party. The interior design is normal. To be honest, I don't like the floor though. 6. Cleanliness: 4/5. it's decent but I think should upgrade their floor to make it look cleaner.

Yellow curry

I got the yellow curry with a level 3 spice, only flavor I could taste was from the chilies they added. Vegetables weren't cooked well, and the curry was very watery. I also got the crab ragoons which were very tasty. When you walk into the restaurant the owners are watching Netflix, one was playing a video game. The restaurant is very dim and not lit well. Not the best food, probably won't be returning.

Fried ice cream and mangos with sticky rice (our favorite)!

We have lived in Rexburg for over three years now and this has become one of our favorite restaurants. The food is phenomenal. Even our youngest children love it. Our experience with the service has been superb. Even tonight when we were there for a birthday dinner for one of our daughters Nigh(sp?) was kind enough to recognize that and bring her out a little treat. Highly recommend Original Thai. Penang curry: lunch special

Great Thai food option in Rexburg. We had the lunch special Penang curry and drunken noodles. Both were delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Bland. Food wasn't warm. Their tea was what got them the second star. It was pretty good.

Really yummy Thai food!! If I were rich I'd come more often! The green curry and drunken noodles are my favorites.

Some meals don't need hype. They just need a spoon and your full attention…read more The chicken yellow curry here is the kind of dish that makes you slow down mid-bite. Rich, creamy coconut milk. Warm, layered curry spice that builds without bullying. Tender chicken that clearly wasn't rushed or treated like an afterthought. Potatoes and carrots that have soaked up the sauce like they understood the assignment. And then there's the rice. A perfectly cooked scoop of white rice. Fluffy, clean, and disciplined. Not soggy. Not dry. It exists for one reason only: to carry that curry from bowl to mouth without wasting a drop. By the end, you're scraping the plate, not because you're hungry, but because leaving sauce behind would feel disrespectful. This isn't flashy food. It's confident food. Comforting without being boring. Familiar without being lazy. The kind of meal that reminds you why small, unassuming places often cook with more heart than anywhere else. If you're in Idaho Falls and you skip this, that's on you. I'll be back.

I have to comment on their takeout, because I '"always" eat in…read more I was about to have surgery in the hospital, so my spouse brought me take out from here. It was amazingly delicious, I normally think of takeout as a poor substitute. After I left the hospital, I was still convalescing, and my brother and sister-in-law had sent a door dash gift certificate, so we continued to order take-out. We love spicy food, so tried ordering it "Thai Hot" as they told us to do, rather than "American hot". And indeed, that's how it came, beautifully spicy! We used up the gift by ordering from Dee Kitchen multiple times, and every time it was perfect. I've been back to eat in once since then, and they said they realized it was "us" by the fact we ordered it Thai hot and also they were our favorite dishes. Shows how much we like Dee Kitchen!
