Best Thai food in Idaho Falls, in my opinion! Very friendly staff, quick and fresh food.

It's been a long time since I've had a good combination fried rice and this was delicious. My husband had the garlic chicken lunch special and that had a great flavor too. Wish I could find a place near me like this. We walked in. We were seated quickly. The server was friendly, and the prices were great. Almost 3 years since last review, time for an update. My opinion has gone down somewhat over time, as I've discovered better Thai at other restaurants in Idaho Falls (who'd have thought there would be more than a couple here?). I still come here because it is right next to the Sport Clips where I get my hair cut, so it is also mostly during lunch. Changes: you can't get it very spicy anymore. Even if you say, "I'd like a SIX in hotness" (on a 1-5 scale) or "PLEASE make it VERY spicy..." or even (lying), "I've been to Thailand and I love how hot it can be!" - nope - at best just a bit of spice. (Yes, I know some people will think it is spicy, and maybe that's their clientele?) At lunch there is only one soup - chicken/rice usually. And again little flavor. I've sometimes ignored lunch items because of this and ordered a dinner item that says "spicy" next to it. Nope. So overall, the food has gotten blander and with less flavor. It's still "OK", especially if I just got my haircut and want to eat lunch, but I wouldn't make a special trip to go here anymore. read more

The food was good but not what I saw in the menu before ordering. Ordered to go and took pictures to show. Service was fast and the food was hot so that's a good thing. Not sure how crowded it was because I didn't even go check it out. Fried rice is only colored in brown and no vegetables like most usually have. read more

Good Thai food, but never spicy enough. I do order it as hot as they will make it, but it's never very hot. This restaurant has become a nice meeting place for my friend and me. The Phad Thai is good. I like their other meals as well. They do have a very nice salad. Definitely a place I enjoy when I'm hungry. read more

My food was okay... The food itself wasn't bad. The flavor was definitely there - along with a lock of someone's hair. On a scale of 1-5, I ordered a spice level 3 & the spice was almost non-existent. Although, it didn't matter much once I discovered the hair because it went directly in the trash along with my appetite. My thai tea was heavy on the milk. My coworker ordered the orange chicken lunch special and said it was okay. He appreciated that it wasn't drowned in sauce like many other places. The lunch specials are a pretty good deal if you're looking for decent food at an affordable price. We ordered our food over the phone and took it back to the office. I called the restaurant as soon as I discovered the hair and the woman on the other line apologized. I wasn't able to go back since I was on my lunch break and I'm not quite sure if I want to. Based on other reviews, Thai Kitchen is probably a pretty decent place as long as your experience is much better than mine. read more

I honestly don't remember how I found this place before arriving in Idaho Falls, but when it was lunchtime I knew where to go. I called in an order for pickup during lunchtime. I ordered the pad thai with chicken ($8.89) and the yellow curry with beef ($8.89) which are the two dishes that I usually order at a Thai restaurant as a benchmark. After I gave my order I was given the option of a lunch or dinner portion. I ordered the lunch portion which is smaller and cheaper than the dinner portion ($8.89 vs $10.89). The pad thai was good with lots of flavor. It tastes pretty authentic and not orange-colored which is a good sign. I ordered medium spice and I could taste some of it but I could've gone for more. The yellow curry was also very good and goes very well with rice which comes with the curry. Again I got medium spice and wanted more but I guess the levels are catered to local preferences. It's comparable to some of the Thai restaurants that I've had elsewhere like in Seattle. I'm pretty happy to find a good and well-priced Thai spot in a sea of American restaurants. read more

10/01/21 We're about 2 miles from our hotel. We YELPED places to eat and came across this restaurant with 4 stars. Drove right over, we're greeted and seated promptly. Our order was taken in a timely fashion. I can tell you right now that without even tasting my food, I'm giving these guys 5 stars. It smells amazing and the menu looks amazing. If I'm wrong, I'll rewrite this review but we're tourists in a strange town, right now, and we're in a hurry. LOL! I ordered spring rolls, and sesame noodles with chicken. Hubby ordered yellow curry with beef and spicy fried rice with #1 spice level. The waiter told us that we have to do at least a level one spice level because it's Thai food. LOL! Again!!!! I come through town every couple of weeks on business, and this is my new favorite place to eat in Idaho Falls. I love Thai food, and have eaten in quite a few Thai joints in much larger cities. I came in with low expectations, given that it's an ethnic restaurant in a small town. To my utter delight, the food was fantastic! Pad Kee Mao is my Thai go to, and it doesn't disappoint. The hostess is always very nice, and my food is always ready incredibly quickly. I always get takeout and eat at my hotel, and the food is still great even after sitting through the drive back and check-in. One of these days I'll make the time to sit down and eat it while it's still fresh. I can't recommend this place any more highly. read more

Visiting my hometown from Los Angeles I was pleasantly surprised to find Thai food here on this visit! And this place has unexpectedly great Thai food. Loved the tom ka soup especially, and what charming people working here! The yellow curry was watery and supposed to include potatoes ---there was a single slice of potato in a dinner sized entree Primary reason for this review is that the service was poor. Poor enough that I left a 10% tip and the server decided to confront my guests as they were leaving the restaurant He waived the receipt in their faces and asked them why he didn't get a bigger tip. Ruined the entire experience I'm going to contact the owner to complain and ask for a refund of the entire meal. read more

My husband and I ordered from here on a whim because we were in the area and thai food sounded good at the time. I was disappointed to see that they only offered my favorite curry (mussuman) with beef as the protein. I begrudgingly ordered it anyway, indicating "no spicy" as the spice level. On a scale of 6 spice levels, I would take that to be absolutely NO spiciness whatsoever. Much to my surprise, after taking the first bite, I found it was indeed spicy. I do not like spicy foods AT ALL, so this made me really unhappy. Additionally, there wasn't a single potato in my curry. Had there been, it may have helped to mute some of the spiciness that I specifically didn't want. Gosh darn it, this food is too expensive to be made wrong. Our food was also ready a little later than anticipated however, they were pretty busy, so I don't really hold that against them. Overall, based on this one experience, I wouldn't return to this restaurant. I am pretty partial to what I like and wouldn't be keen to try other things on the menu, and if they can't get my order right the first time, I'd be a fool to go back and spend more money to gamble on a repeat situation. read more

The planned restaurant in West Yellowstone was closed for the season. So out came the Yelp app while in the hotel room. Atmosphere - Looks like the dining area just opened up from COVID restrictions. You will find the register in the back next to the kitchen. I was not in here long as I ordered the food to go. Food Dinner - I found pineapple fried rice on the menu for my wife. When I called the order in I was able to order it gluten free, I did not see any notation on the menu for gluten free options. I ordered the Mussaman Beef Curry as I have never seen it on a menu before. It is stewed beef with potatoes, carrots, onions, and peanuts in a coconut based curry. We you order they want to know the eat level on a scale of a five, a three for me, nice kick. Some bites had more than others. I would love to have this again. I would prefer it plated in the restaurant. The container used for out the door service was a tall soup container, because of this it was eating it like soup. I wished I had a container to transfer it to, but nothing else in my hotel room. Service - Pretty simple. Placed the order via the phone, they told me how long it would be. I arrived to pick it up. I wished they would take you name instead of having to repeat you order back to them. The curry was in a to-go soup container placed in its own bag to prevent a massive spill. I gave up on Chinese in Idaho Falls. My co-workers recommended this place to us. I was a little hesitant at first but remembered that they eat professionally in their spare time! Lol I actually came here on two occasions but had to work the first time I went and didn't have time to write my review. The first time I went here I ordered a lot of food because I wanted to try a lot of dishes. I ordered the Pad Kra Pow, Chicken Satay, potstickers, and Mango and sticky rice. I ordered the pad kra pow with pork, finely chopped with a spice level of 2.. They charged extra to chop up the pork but I was ok with that. The dish was not spicy at all and because I ordered the pork, it had that pork flavor that didn't cook out. Other than that I thought the dish was pretty good. I could taste the basil really well as well as all the other spices that blended well together. The chicken satay was marinated well and you can taste a hint of curry and coconut milk. However, the peanut sauce was amazing! It's not only had peanut, they added some chili peppers and sweetened it up a bit. The potstickers were the one disappointment. It was flavored too much with garlic and was not fried long enough after it was steamed. The sauce was perfect. The blend of vinegar, soy sauce, peppers and sugar would be the way I make it. The mango and sticky rice was good too. The only thing I didn't like was that the rice was too dense and it seemed like it was cooked too long in the coconut milk and harder up while it was sitting in the back. It still has a great flavor but I could've also used more coconut milk sauce. Overall, really good experience for my foot time. I would've given them a four star. On my second time, I added That Spring Rolls, and the house special curry. The spring rolls were very tasty. I loved the little noodles inside mixed in with the vegetables. The sweet and sour sauce was home-made and had a good blend of the sweet and the sour. My only complaint was that it looked smaller than the picture. They house special curry description said that if you like peanut sauce to try this dish. And since I loved the peanut sauce here, I thought I'd try it. It is definitely a good twist to the curry dish. I ordered a spice level between 3 & 4 this time with chicken and it was perfect. You could taste the curry but the coconut milk was not lost with the addition of the peanut sauce. It also included bell peppers and broccoli. Another great dining experience! However this time, this visit is definitely a five star. I think the pork dish I ordered the last time brought down my rating to a four star but this time I ordered all chicken and they definitely deserve five stars. Tip: if you order the chicken satay and you love peanut sauce, order a large side of peanut sauce. You'll need it for the four large skewers you get! Enjoy! read more

I always eat here when I visit because the food is spectacular. I've had Thai all over the country and this is pretty darn good for a small town! I had a delicious order of tofu pad Thai and it was more than enough for one person. I also got their spring rolls, and although I am not a big fan of deep frying, these were acceptable and I would eat them again.. Because of Covid, I called in my order and I was pleasantly surprised that it was ready and handed to me by a person who was following all Covid precautions. I would Feel comfortable ordering takeout from them again. I'm not sure how I would feel eating in, because when I picked up my order it was off-peak and it didn't look like they were separating tables by one in between. All in all it was a good experience however and I would recommend this location for good Thai food read more

I came here couple weeks ago while visiting Yellowstone National Park. After looking up couple places to eat on Yelp, this have good reviews and stand out from other thai food places we decided to check it out ourself. We ordered 2 dishes Pad Thai, Panang Curry and we asked for spicy! The dishes will not dissapoint the taste was on point but it was too spicy for me(we should've go with mild instead). Very flavorful! They're not shy with utilizing ingredients; for example, they sprinkle fried garlic on the steamed dumplings which I have not seen before (and upon my request, they did a potsticker order of 1/2 steamed, and the other 1/2 fried!). Great food! Spice levels range from 1-5, however it seemed spicier than what we thought. We ordered the spring rolls, Orange Chicken and the Original Pad Thai with chicken. Both entrees were orders at a level 2 spice but i'd say they were a level 3. Great service as well. read more

I had the good fortune of finding this Thai restaurant when passing through Pocatello. I ordered veggie rolls for an appetizer and the house curry for dinner. The veggie rolls were fresh and the rice paper was thin and not wrapped on the ends which is great. They may fall apart a little easier but it beats chewy thick rice paper with the ends folded over. The rolls came with Hoisin sauce and peanut sauce. Perfect thickness and taste on the sauces. If you love curry and want a twist on a traditional red then the house curry is a must! It is a mix of red curry and peanut sauce. I ordered mine with seafood at a medium spice level. The taste is unique. I travel a lot and have yet to taste a curry quite like this. Amazing taste and spice level was perfect! I only wish I knew about this place all the times I passed through before. It's committed to memory now! There are two locations - Pocatello and Idaho Falls - I got takeout from the Pocatello location and although I did not dine in the atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. A must for Thai food lovers when passing through the area. A little jealous of those that live in Idaho Falls and Pocatello. Please support these two great locations. read more

We ordered 5 entrées and rice for $112-. All entrees were quart size, except Shrimp fried rice. The Tom Ka soup w/shrimp had but 4 pcs (#30 size) shrimp - not good for $14 entree. The Penang Curry & Yellow curry entrees were slightly better, but used over ripe/going bad onion slices with brown sections. Overall a disappointing and expensive dinner. They give military discounts! I would say this place is just a little too pricey by a few dollars compared to other Thai restaurants for the same items. The food is quite spicy; we were pretty much dying on their lowest levels of yellow curry and asked for a small bit of coconut milk to help. While Every Thai restaurant I've ever been to will gladly provide some, this restaurant charges extra, again going towards being a little too pricey. The tofu is cooked perfectly here, but the potatoes in our curry were nearly raw. Also, it's -2 (feels like -18) at the moment, so I was quite disappointed when I heard they were out of literally every soup, as that was the reason I came to begin with! Overall though, I would say this is probably the best Thai food in town, and although very spicy, the flavor was so good I had to just power through it! read more
