I'm not gonna lie like I wasn't the most convinced that Rexburg Idaho was going to deliver on their Asian cuisine on my family vacation here this summer but honestly the prices and the flavor were pretty good for what they were. Recommend the Pad See Ew and the beef noodle soup. Service was decent and they were really busy. Restaurant is sort of dimly lit and the floors are a bit grimy but it's ok. Even though it's the only thai place in town, it's still great thai food. The crab rangoons were so crunchy with creamy filling, although the sauce was pretty runny. My husband thinks the drunken noodles are perfect, today I tried the pad woon sen (I might be getting the name wrong) at the recommendation of our waitress and the flavor was DELICIOUS. I am not the biggest fan of glass noodles, but I still would definitely get the dish again. I know pad thai is a classic dish but if you're going here I recommend something different as I don't think it's their strongest dish. Unequivocally, the BEST Thai food I've ever had. Thai is my favorite of all time. I've lost count how many Thai places I've been to in many different states and all over the San Francisco Bay Area. This place beats them all which, frankly, is a big shock to me to find in Idaho. Very fresh, flavorful, veggies weren't overcooked, didn't overdo it with garlic and fish sauce like many places. The service was great. I tend to ask for substitutions either for my kids or because I have dietary restrictions. They got everything perfect! So happy we stopped here! I heard a good review and wanted to check it out. We stopped off and had 4 in our party. There was another party of 4 and two parties of two in the restaurant. The ambiance is absolutely dreadful. One fluorescent light on in the front, hanging Chinese lanterns all over that barely have a light source along with table top battery candles. The place is so dark that we had to put the fake candle up to it. I asked the waitress why is it so dark? She said it was to match the theme. She said next time you come in it won't be so dark. You have dark brown walls and acoustic ceiling tiles. The music is a little loud and you might think you're in a night club. We placed our order and we're very surprised how quickly it came out. I got the panang curry with beef and the pad Thai with tofu. I started with the crab Rangoon's. The flavors were good, nothing exceptional. First impressions matter, and the first impression I got when entering the store was that it was dark as hell. Thankfully, our waitress gladly turned on the light for us to see the menu. Not that this matters, but the bathroom looks like a trap from the Saw movie franchise. I ordered the Mango Curry with spice level 3, and still had to add on the chili powder after they brought it out. The food itself was good and unique - mango surprisingly complements the curry well. Fisherman in Love was a unique plating interpretation of Thai pasta, mussel, squid, and shrimp. No other comments. Everything tastes like its supposed to. Here's where they missed the mark: fried rice. I've had different fried rice from different Asian countries, including Thailand, but I don't think I've ever had soggy fried rice. The white rice that came with the Mango Curry was moist and steamed (as it it should be), but the fried rice in contrast was way too wet to what I'm used to eating. I'm not familiar to Rexburg ID but it looks like it's located in the downtown of Rexburg. I'm not sure if they have the parking on the rear. However, the restaurant has parking on the street right in front of the restaurant. I came in during lunch time in the weekday and there were so many available parking lots on the street in front of the store. 5. Ambience and interior design: 3.5/5. Ambien is casual. It's good for family and big party. The interior design is normal. To be honest, I don't like the floor though. 6. I got the yellow curry with a level 3 spice, only flavor I could taste was from the chilies they added. Vegetables weren't cooked well, and the curry was very watery. The pad Thai was one of the better Pad Thai's that I have had before. The orange chicken was decent but the serving size was miniscule and I felt that it absolutely was not worth the money for how little orange chicken there was. The food was prepared within 10 minutes so that was nice to have that prepped and cooked so quickly. Okay, it's Thai food in Rexburg. So lower your expectations for both atmosphere and authenticity. But the drunken noodles with shrimp is consistently yummy, especially with extra shrimp! We often get the green curry with chicken. The chicken isn't great, but it's nice to have some protein alongside the decadent coconut milk sauce with bamboo shoots and a couple green pepper slices. I tell myself that having it with brown rice is a little healthier. I also like the asparagus stir fry and in season, the mango sticky rice for dessert. read more

I realize its a college town but Im not expecting college level cooking for a place that charges 12 bucks for a mediocre portion of food that I literally could have made myself. But because I am an amateur cook I know what probably happened. They put frozen vegetables in the curry and didnt thaw it so the water in the vegetables just added to what we now call "broth". Then I asked for it to be spicy, I guess adding Siracha sauce counts. But I could have done that. Some reviews said this curry was among the best they had, but I wonder if that bar was set low. I picked up food for my daughters and I when I moved them in for summer term at BYU-I. The orange chicken is the best I have ever had! So crispy and the sauce is unreal. No problems with food poisoning and I don't have milk allergies but if I did I probably would stop eating after I got an initial reaction like a sane person. Overall it is very good. We are new in town and were looking for someplace to get some vegetarian food. Thai is always a safe bet. When we started looking at the menu we were initially a bit disappointed at the lack of veg options. Fortunately, when we asked the waitress if we could substitute tofu for the meat she happy to make the substitution. You won't find it on the menu so you will have to ask. The spring rolls were very good. I had a rice noodle dish and my wife had stir fry. Both were very tasty and generous portions. My husband and I frequent this restaurant and love it. This place, though not the best Thai place I have eaten at, is quite good, especially for a little town like Rexburg. They do tofu substitutions, which is awesome. Our favorites are the Drunken Noodles and Med Mamaung (cashew dish), as well as the fried spring rolls. My husband did not enjoy the Tom Yum soup and I don't like to get their Pad Thai as it is too greasy for my taste. Additionally, their portions aren't particularly large.
