We don't have much Pho in our hometown so we were extremely happy to stumble upon this eatery while passing through Langford on our way to port renfrew. Service was amazing - staff warm and friendly (much like their unreal Pho broth) and I highly recommend the pork salad rolls which was a real hit with our tour group. Came here on a Saturday night at 8pm. It took a while before the server took our order. We ordered the tripe and rare steak pho, spring rolls, and house special pho. My tripe and rare steak pho arrived first. We found out that the rest of our order had been mixed up and missed by the kitchen after we called the server over because we had been waiting for ~20 minutes. TBH, it's a bit odd to me they didn't notice since there was only 1 bowl of pho between the 3 of us. Food was pretty good. And they took 25% off our bill for their mistake. read more

I ordered the number 36 lemongrass pork vermicelli. The meal was very tasty and I had a lot left over because it was just a lot to eat. I really enjoyed the fried roll that came with the meal. It provided good context to the vermicelli noodles. Restaurant might look a little small from the street but there is an upstairs area to go to. read more

FOOD Original Pho Special (Large - $18.50) Meatball Pho (Large - $18) These were great! Customizable - the only thing I wish were different was that there were more sprouts offered - it seemed like they only provided enough for one person (and did not offer them cooked for those that like that). The broth is interesting and I liked it: clear, not oily (unlike that of some other places), and not too salty. It's like a "light" or healthy version of pho broth - which could appeal to some. Kid's Rice Plate ($9.50) Great value - it's BBQ beef on rice with some spinach and shredded carrots as accompaniment. Even if your little one doesn't eat the veg, it's a relatively good deal still! Shrimp & Pork Salad Roll ($4.50) Perhaps the only let-down during this dining experience: it was OK. The flavour is a little odd/different than that of most other places, and if you like vermicelli in your salad rolls, this is not the place to get it. The shrimp and peanut sauce are just fine - the price though, is a little hefty for what you get. === 3. SERVICE It worked out well in English (that's all we know and tried :) and it was relatively prompt and certainly attentive. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's relatively modern - interesting motif/decor awaits you with an Asian / Vietnamese theme. The artwork made out of cutlery is delightful. Great spot to eat Vietnamese on the island! My partner ordered Pho Tai Nam and I got the Lemongrass Chicken and Pork Patty Rice. The Lemongrass Chicken and Port Patty Rice was really good! The chicken was pretty good, but I wish they cooked the skin a little more crispy. It felt really fatty in my soft mouth. The pork patty (or nem nuong) was really good, wow! I wish I got just pork patty rice without chicken. Flavour was on point for it. The rice was as usual and they give you a bed of vegetables. The broth that comes with the dish was good. I tasted a bit of the Pho Tai Nam broth and it was pretty good! They also give you TONS of meat. The pho noodles are a little too thick for my preference. Service was amazing. The floor inside is slippery? Be careful! It's quiet and clean inside. Lots of space. read more

Absolutely loved my visit to Original Pho! I had the chicken vermicelli noodle bowl and it was hands down the best I've ever had. The chicken is free range and was incredibly juicy and flavourful. The noodles were soft and fresh with lots of veggies!! The spring roll was perfection; crispy on the outside with a delicious filling. They have a nice little patio on the outside where you can eat!! No frills vietnamese place in Langford. Quick service and tasty food. We just ordered 2 bowls on PHo with brisket and meatballs. Broth was light but good. Noodles were al dente. Could use more sliced beef brisket. Service was quick and efficient. Free tea for diners. Place is clean and washrooms well Kept. Lots of locals dining here as well and ordering other stuff. Ordered what was most similar to a vermicelli bowl with tofu. Sadly the sauce on the side was basic and a small quantity, so the bowl was pretty dry and tasteless. If they could make a vegan lemongrass sauce (like they use for the chicken) but for tofu it would probably be pretty good. read more

Took a little trip down to Langford to visit family this past weekend and decided to try one of the few Vietnamese places nearby. Original Pho Vietnamese Eatery was rated well online so we decided to give them a try! Just a short wait and we were seated but the friendly staff. I appreciated their covid safety protocols and overall the restaurant felt clean. Onto the food! We ordered an Original Pho ($15), which was on the small side for a large bowl. Ingredients were fresh and the broth had a interesting aftertaste we guessed was tamarind or something of that sort. It was quite average. We also ordered two vermicelli dishes ($15 each), one with lemongrass chicken and the other lemongrass pork, both paired with shredded pork and a fried roll. These were both quite good, the pork being the better of the two. Fried rolls were crispy and a good size. Portion-wise this was standard and had a nice presentation. I was mostly disappointed with the chicken wings special ($10). When the dish arrived I noticed that half the top drumette part was removed and there were 4 wings. These were seasoned well but overcooked and dry. I was appalled that these 4 wings were considered 8 pieces, since 4 of them would then mean they were half pieces? Definitely could use room for improvement on this. Service was prompt and food was fresh. Portions are on the small size for the price, but flavors were decent. read more

Last week i ordered 3 dishes:1. The Pho Special, 2. Bun Bo Hue, & 3. Rice with grill chicken and porkchop. The Pho and the rice dish were good ... but i thought the Bun Bo Hue was not authentic. The meats were identical to the Pho, which is not correct. I think the broth is also the same as the Pho broth with added Chilli oil, which is not correct. Pho broth and bun bo hue broth are different. But overall the Pho was good and i would order that again. read more

Lovely modern & comfortable decor plus great service made for a delightful dinner. We ordered the combo for 2. Fried rolls, salad rolls, fried wontons (filled with meat), a huge bowl of delicious, very spicy prawn soup and fried banana with mango ice cream. Had leftovers which were delicious the next day. Note: the alcoholic drink prices shown on webpage have gone up in price as have a few food items. Too bad--$3.95 would have been phenomenal! We'll be back! read more
