Situated next to a Colonial Laundromat (as all locations are - still yet to figure out why), OIP is a local chain that boasts fresh made pizzas and char grilled wings. Most locations, when you walk in, have their counter right in front of the store along with their kitchen. You can watch their pizza makers toss around their fresh dough and throw them in the oven. Their locations are always bright and clean and nicely decorated. Onto the food. They use fresh made dough, sauces and ingredients. Being a self professed pizza and wings snob, I feel on the fence about their food. Some of it is really good...some of it is kinda bad. They have a great garlic sauce for their pizza. Garlicky, flavorful, exactly what you want from a garlic pizza. Their tomato sauce, on the other hand, is not good. It's just very plain and not flavorful. Their wing sauces are good, but can be overshadowed by their signature char grilling. Char grilling also has a tendency to dry out the meat, so while I'm a chicken wing purist, I have a habit of going for their boneless wings instead. Their boneless wings are HUGE, just large chunks of meat. This location is the one I currently frequent the most, as it's closest to my job, but I find the experience/food to be pretty standard across all the locations. It can get a tad pricey, but I've found their prices to be comparable to other fresh made pizza places. Service is usually always friendly. Overall, OIP is not the best, most authentic NY pizza in the CNY area, but they do have satisfying offerings, and I can't say I'm not guilty of having cravings for their boneless wings often. read more

So, I own a business and I like to support local business , with that being said, We have order twice now from oip in the last month sicillan pizza 1/2 pepperoni half cheese 1 st time I get a whole sheet not sicillan second time have no clue what we got was told 45 minutes more like a 1hr 25 they never started it until we showed up and paid for it. 8 slices suppose to 1/2 cheese 1/2 peperoni 2 slices where cheese the rest pepperoni under cooked. called to voice my opinion paid 30.00 for garbage. The reason I got from the guy who made the pizza was that he was very busy. I'm sure they dont care wont be ever going back there and I was not even looking for a refund. Wish I could upload a picture of this. How can a pizza joint screw up a pizza that bad? read more

Came highly recommended as a lunch spot by some of the serviceman I worked with while visiting the area. As noted in the pictures below there is an extensive menu. I had the chicken steak sandwich and a slice of steak pizza. The slices were a good size and at the first touch there was a good crust and I had a nice crisp bite however midway through I realized the dough was kinda raw pretty much saying it wasn't cooked all the way through. the hot sandwich on the other hand was an absolute winner. Perfectly toasted and the chicken onions and cheese mixed well. If I was in the area longer I probably give this another chance. They also charbroiled wings which seem to be a hit. I guess I give it another try next time I'm in town. read more

I will start this as I always do by saying I don't give five stars unless I am really blown away. This was my first time eating at OIP. I got pizza wings and a salad. Food came out fast and the staff at the counter were very pleasant. The wings were awesome and the pizza was also good. I will definitely go back for more wings. read more

I very much enjoy O.I.P. The staff that works there is friendly and I have never felt like I was standing in line forever nor have I had to wait for several minutes to be served, behind the person I came in with. The pizza is top rate too and they have quite a variety of toppings. They have slices ready to serve. The side items from meatballs to calzones to fries are tasty and I would definately recommend the char broiled chicken wings. They are excellent! The place is clean and there is ample parking. I have noticed this small chain usually has a Colonial Laundromat next door. So if you're doing laundry you can stop in and grab a slice. I have eaten here several times and it has always been a good experience. read more

The food's good. The service... Not so much. Been here a couple times, and both times the staff's acted like me ordering food was a bother for them. They're at least quick about it, but hell if they don't act as if they have better things to be doing. Also I ordered a Philly steak and cheese, and after I got it I asked the woman working the counter if she could put some BBQ sauce on it. She sort of scowled at me and said it'd cost an extra $1. Seriously? Seems more like she just didn't want to. Maybe it really is an extra dollar for condiments, I don't know. From now on I'll stick to the pizza. They actually have a pretty good variety of by the slice available. That's this place's one big positive. read more

Pizza: Check Wings: Check Delivery: Check Fast service: Check Paying again for fixing the part of the order that was screwed up? Check. Seriously. Said, this was wrong. They said, we'll make another. Then when it was ready said, will that be cash or credit? So I'm taking some tine off. May I recommend Palladino's right down the street? read more

I had received a garlic pizza on a delivery order some time before we went here, and had a small credit on file as it was not at all what we expected. The term "Ghetto" comes to mind when I recall our visit. We ordered to go and waited for the pizza and wings. We observed workers cleaning, not washing hands and handling pizza slices, listened to workers talking loudly about their sex lives, and watched a blatant disrespect to a manager, who did nothing about anything, despite the fact that we were sitting at a table right in front of them. NOT going back to this OIP!! read more

Pizza is fresh and delicious. The service is so fast and really friendly! The location is clean and easy to find. Try the cannolis!

Unfortunately this location was not well organized. Called ahead an order for a few pies early for a specific pickup. Girl took my number and name confirming the order. Only to show up and get told there was no order for myself & I called the wrong number. Showed her my phone that it was this location, but got an oh well "we can toss them in now". This wouldn't be an issue if it's just a lunch pick up, but this purchase was for a client that I'm buying lunch for and have designated lunch hours. Hence the specific pick up time... just poor service and won't be back to this location read more

I have been here several times over the years, It's amazing. Always delicious food. Char Grilled wings are exceptionally good, NYC style pizza is fabulous. Love this place. Try it, you won't be disappointed. I read some of the other comments on here, and saw Catherine W's review, notice before she got her order she was already upset, "by of all" the selection of music... This person is the same kind of person I ran into when I was a young server during the summer months off from college. They come in already miserable, and take it out on others... Seriously (the music) how ridiculous. I've never even noticed what music is on at that establishment, because the food's so good. I'll also bet she made up that it was crap in her opinion. It's just simply not... She went in didn't like the music, then thought because the girl said she liked it, she was giving her an attitude... from that point on nothing would be right or to her liking. No winning with a person like that, then has the nerve to go on and write a bad review. She doesn't realize it's extremely transparent. read more

Have always been satisfied with the food Pizza and wings were great. The calzone however was disappointing. The ricotta was extremely dry and tasteless. The other ingredients were great I will try again as I have always gotten great food here read more

Good food, but pricey. Looks like the portion sizes are going down too...the pizza I opened up tonight was much smaller than i remember. Half full blue cheese container too...better values out there. read more

Awesome crispy & hot wings! + nice crispy crust pizza Nothing fancy , but excellent food read more

Went here tonight with my family. ( 5 of us total) It was about 8:30 p.m. While they decided I asked the counter person ( young gal) why in the world country music was playing. ***I was being serious. ** She said she liked it. We ordered pizza & wings combo plus an order of pesto pasta. It came out 1st and wasn't even hot. They sent it back and it came out too hot. I guess they didn't think a dish w/ price of $7.99 needed to be properly prepared or plated. Then out came wings. They were decent. Have had better there. The pizza was not tasty. They seem to be using cornmeal on bottom of pizza. The cheese wasn't gr8. Taste wasn't good.***In conclusion this place is crap.*** read more

I had the roast beef sub to go. The sub tasted great, plenty of meat along with being very juicy and not dry.

Worst OIP in Syracuse, very rude staff. Dirty restaurant. The pizza maker was so rude I requested a refund after waiting 30 minutes for a pizza that had not been made! Will not go there again! read more

Good pizza, crazy good wings. They asked me for years if I wanted my wings on the grill. For years I told them no. I finally said yes and they were awesome. I like going for lunch, so many choices. I had the steak sub a few times and it's was really good. They bake their own bread and you can tell. It was very fresh and tasted great. Haven't had a bad meal yet. 5 stars if they would stop messing up delivery. 3 out of 5 times they sent me wrong order. Never had an issue with pickup. read more
