For mains, we split the Jordanian rice and a couscous dish. The Jordanian rice was simple but came with a nice mix of pine nuts, almonds, raisins, and served with a large amount of hummus. The couscous dish was served with roasted veggies (largely carrot and zucchini) on a large bed of couscous and a side of absolutely delectable soupy marinade that everything was cooked in. Turns out this was much too much food for 2, but our tummies were very happy. Recommended if you need a break of the same old pasta/pizza that are available at most places here.

After a giving us somewhat of a hard time for not calling and our sincerest apologies, the owner, Issa, has refused to let us go away hungry and showed us in. Turns out that we arrived right after a huge wedding party and more apologies from our side, Issa served us some wine and drinks and disappeared into the kitchen to begin preparations. I won't go into too the details of each dish (not to ruin the surprise for you ;) ) but we were presented with course after course of Jordanian delicacies including various mezze (small plates such as baba ghanoush) and several main dishes. Marco, the results more-or-less a disaster from the décor and loud music to the inedibly stale table bread as well as many of the actual plates. Owned by a gregarious gentleman whose fluency in English was an unexpected treat considering a location well-outside the traditional tourist zone, entrance to Ristorante Pizzeria Aladino brings patrons face-to-face with a true hodgepodge of Italian and Middle Eastern influences, the offering of Kabobs fused with Pizza just one of a handful of confusing elements, though the pies with French Fries and Frankfurters may have been an even more perplexing choice. Arriving at 21h15, the restaurant mostly empty and staff seen regularly taking cigarette breaks that saw water go unfilled and long delays between courses one and two, bread was immediately set aside after just one lifeless endpiece, the Fritto Misto not just undercooked but downright oily with a texture that makes one think the Calamari rings arrived straight from a freezer bag. On our most recent visits, I had a piadina (a wrap, basically) and falafel. The bread they use for the piadina is my favorite! It's thicker and fluffier, more like naan bread, where most other kebab places here use a thin wrap like a flour tortilla. The falafel at Teba is great, too! Fried to perfection with a crispy outside and soft, warm inside. The seasoning in the falafel is a yummy curry flavor and at only €3 for 8 of them, they're a steal. Give me allllllll the falafel! Best part of all though, is the kind and welcoming service! The gentleman behind the counter is always happy to see you and is beyond patient with my awful Italian.
