This experience truly "Sparked Joy" for me. Erin goes above and beyond to cater to her clients needs and made such a tremendous effort in organizing my apartment into something much more welcoming and tidy. Anyone can clean, but it truly takes someone with the right skills and experience to know how to make something "Organized". Erin exemplifies these skills phenomenally. For me home organization has always been a struggle. When I saw Erin's business to not only help organize but also to provide lessons on the "Marie Kondo method" I had to see what the experience was all about. Booked a 5 hour post move organization session with Shan to help get things set up after a move. Wow! Honestly blown away by the skill and kindness she brought to the project. She was such a great help & had a wonderful eye for organizing things in a way that made the space more functional for how it would be used. Her help was so valuable that we asked her to come back for another session the next day. The first day she tackled the kitchen and work areas, the second she moved to bath/laundry/closets. To top it off, she hauled away things for disposal or donation at the end of each day. This service is priceless when you're worn out due to moving and decision fatigue. I love my kitchen! Erin came to my house to help me organize my kitchen a few weeks ago and since then, I've really enjoyed using it. I don't have that drawer I HATE any more, and my cooking ingredients are no longer spilling out everywhere when I open that one cupboard. Erin's style felt very straightforward and attuned to my needs through the process. She got right to work and kept at it. She took time to notice when I got overwhelmed (having EVERYTHING out all at once is a lot to take in!) and encouraged me to breathe, and then to tackle one area at a time. She acknowledged with me that it's a vulnerable process, and I felt very safe from judgement. She's not overly-explaining things while you're working, but in the last few weeks, I've noticed I have a different thought in my head about what I bring into my kitchen, as it will be something I will look at or need to deal with. Erin made a huge difference in my ability to move to Japan. I enjoyed Marie Kondo's book, but needed an extra push. I had tried other home organizers but they weren't a match. Erin is a wonderful resource for organizing and decluttering a home. She is trained on the Japanese 'KonMari' method of deaccessing books, papers, clothes, and the various tchotchkes that clutter up living spaces. She helped me organize a huge mess in my home office/guest room - something that I've been putting off for years since moving to a smaller house. Erin is an amazing organizing whirlwind of good that makes our house look better every time we work with her! I didn't even realize there was such a thing as a professional organizer, all I knew was we were stuck and needed help! When my husband suggested an organizer I started researching and did a few interviews to find the right person. Erin was by far the best fit for us - so personable and was able to give us hope that we could get through all of this junk! We picked Erin without knowing anything about the KonMari method and were surprised how much we like the method - however Erin is great even if you decide this method isn't right for you. My challenge is we are cleaning out my late mother's house, so this isn't just my junk, it is also the job of sorting through someone else's items while processing all the grief that goes along with losing a parent. Erin is great at keeping me focused and when she sees a task is becoming too emotional she redirects the item and we just move it into the sentimental pile so we can keep moving forward. After each session with Erin, the house feels lighter! It may be the carload she helps haul away each time but also the hope that she gives us as we feel we are finally moving forward in this process. If you have never used an organizer, which we hadn't before Erin, I know it can be intimidating to know where to start. I would recommend setting up an initial appointment so you can see how great Erin is but it also makes it seem so much more manageable as you walk through the space together and hear her ideas of how to create the space you want in your house. Erin really knows what she is doing. I have used her twice. Once to help me clear out my basement and organize it and two years later help me pack up house for moving. She was able to tactfully help me let go of items in order to streamline my move and declutter my new place (along with decluttering my mind). I feel ready to embark on my new life without being needlessly dragged back into the past. She recycled most of the items and helped me both sell and donate. I cannot recommend her too highly. Amazing experience! I've been obsessed with the Kon Mari method for a few years and have dabbled with doing some of the categories previously but I've never done a full tidying festival so things keep getting cluttered and disorganized and I never got to paperwork and my office stuff. I have hired Erin several times over the last two years for both home and business/office projects.
