Randi also made a huge effort even before our first appointment to understand exactly what I was needing, and asked me to send her some photos that were both fun and also pertaining to what I used the room we would be working on for (i.e. that showed what kinds of items I make in my sewing and craft room). I call myself a mini hoarder, especially when it comes to fabrics and crafts, and she was so patient and non-judgmental towards me. It's very reassuring as well to know that she has so many years of experience working with other adults with ADHD. She snuck in some helpful gems of how to stay organized as we were working through our 3 hours without me really realizing it, but that info sunk in. Only a day after working with her, I found myself looking at a few lamps in that and another room and thinking, "I can donate those - I can let them and tons of other things like those go, and it will make my life much easier and less stressful to let them go. We're not even using them or haven't for 6 years!" She was very inspiring and working with her made me excited to do more, not only in that room but in the rest of the house. First, they showed up to help me trudge through the terrible job of purging and got me super organized. The painful process was somehow made doable by Kat and her team (shout out to Emmerie!), with their firm but gentle persistence to get it all done. They really kept me on task/gave direction when I needed to sift through things which was incredibly helpful. Otherwise when I had to work or was busy with my kids they never seem to waste a minute. Moving with two toddlers was completely overwhelming, but they unpacked and got us organized in the new house in just two days. I called them back to organize the garage I'd managed to stuff full with overflow and in just a day they had it all perfectly purged, sorted and stacked. They showed up on-time and worked without stopping aside from a short lunch break (which was always fun getting to chat with them) -which was quite impressive given the slog I put them through. Things to consider: It's an investment - time, efficiency and the sense of joy of an organized home should be considered the criteria as success. Handyman charges an hourly rate of $140/hr. In hindsight, I would rather a fixed rate by project. You can save costs here if are handy and have the desire to do things on your own. I spent more than I planned, because I didn't have the interest or capacity for such. I was a bit hands off and didn't get overly in the details. I had Just closed, eager to get settled. Everyone I've shown the finished product to is excited about how my project turned out and wants to do the same thing for themselves. I will likely revisit using them to help me edit and keep myself organized, which is a service they offer. I'm back to work off holiday break, with an unboxed home that's organized, but it will cost you. When I move again, I will definitely factor this service in my relocation budget.

Update for August 2022: Moxie just helped me with a whole house unpack/move in and wow! These women…read morecontinue to amaze me. I'm so grateful for their help and expertise. Moving is normally so stressful and overwhelming but having Moxie here was the magic cure for that! (The other major component was using Heavenly Moving to do a full service move that included packing- highly recommend!) The Moxie team had EVERYTHING out of boxes with the cardboard broken down and packing paper all bagged up when they were done. They left me with a beautifully organized home, including all the drawers, cabinets, closets, even the "junk" drawer (which is too nice to even be called a junk drawer now lol) and the peg board in the garage! If I had tried to do the unpacking myself it would have taken months, it wouldn't have been completed so nicely, and there are things that would have probably never gotten done at all.
