We had a variety of items from the menu that we enjoyed including the miso soup, the gyoza, summer rolls, avoacado salad, the maki, nigiria, and sashimi are all delicious and beautifully presented. The soy sauce appears to be a homemade ponzu and is delicious. I have been to Japan and this place reminds me of a few sushi restaurants we ate in there with the whimsical menu and the very pretty wall murals. Sushi bars in the US tend to be a bit formal in appearance or very plainly decorated. Sushi Oishi is bright, welcoming, and small as are many places in Japan. If you are in the area of Municipal House this small restaurant is worth a visit. We came in mid-afternoon since it is very busy at lunch and dinner. I tried to upload some photos but the attempts failed. It may be the distance, my computer, or some security issue between the US and the EU.

Feeling hungry, I went inside and ordered a Bánh Canh - shrimp and sliced beef, udon noodles, and a light, flavorful, and spicy broth. The dish was spicy and I like spicy! I felt like the portion was right for me at the time. I didn't find the restaurant on Yelp, so I took the liberty to add it here with some photos. Both her and my father ended up picking the same restaurant without consulting each other. Immediately we were greeted with warm welcome and seated at our table. After all the walking, we immediately ordered several starters that eased our hunger. My dad rated that the ebi tempura was the best he ever had and my brother added an additional item to our order. All of us at the table adored the garlic edamame. Later we received the three rolls, sashimi, bulgogi, and the additional ebi tempura with vegetables. We finished everything on our plates, enjoyed our sake, and did not feel overly stuffed. We absolutely enjoyed this experience and will be recommending to everyone who comes to Prague!

No signs yelling for your attention. Just a quiet confidence. Like it knew it was worth your time. You walk in and are met with fresh seafood. A variety of fish, shrimp, and other sea bugs. Some with eyes staring directly into your soul. The kind of display that makes you pause and say, "Right then, let's get weird." Anytime I'm with my brother, you know the one. Tastebuds of a 10-year-old but the wallet of a CEO. He's a hard guy to impress. He'll spend 80 quid on a plate and still ask if they have chicken tenders. He says things like "complex flavor profile" then washes it down with a Diet Coke. I only managed a photo of the scallop before it disappeared into my stomach. Cooked to perfection. Sweet glaze on top. Delicate. Balanced. Honestly one of the better things I ate on the entire trip. What stood out most was the chef's style. No two plates looked the same. Each one had its own story. You could tell someone cared back there. After I cleaned my plate, the waitress came over. She had a mouth on her that would make a sailor blush, but somehow it worked. She gave my brother a hard time for not finishing his shrimp. Proper dressing down. Someone had to say it. I admired her for holding us traveling lads to a local standard. Bit pricey, sure. But you're not at some tourist trap. You're eating seafood hand-picked by Neptune himself. As they say, when in Rome. Or in this case, Prague.
