I seriously owe our Jasmine a debt I may never be able to repay. I mean for real. The only thing I have found more difficult to find in Europe than decent Mexican is really good Asian. I get this is another one of those moments of my exposure to great and amazing food in SF tainting my perception of food everywhere else. However, this place blew me away. Super authentic, ridiculously tasty, kind of expensive, totally off the beaten path while still in city center, but totally worth it. The food was unbelievable. I am still dreaming of it, however, I realize this is a splurge place. That being said, I will be longing for it until I am able to satiate my need for it. They would get six stars if I could give it to them for playing Leonard Cohen as I ate. HEAVEN!

The 1st option on the lunch menu... beautiful and delicious! :-)

Excellent food, very beautifully done! Had the first option (ohiru obento) lunch menu which has both stew beef, vegetable and shiitake, with also miso marinated salmon and rice. Miso soup even had some mushrooms besides the usual seaweed. Salads had a good and colourful mix! Fruits salad was also very nice with some fresh tropical fruits! The staff were also very friendly and attentive! Our tea was filled up regularly... Overall, it's a wonderful experience and thanks to the previous reviews that leads us here! :-)

Service was very good but that is the only positive thing. Over priced mediocre food. Go if that is what you want.

The spinach with sesame and kakuni (meat) were a little bit sweet and I wonder if there is a person from western Japan in the kitchen.

They have a very large menu but I opted for a Miso Ramen bowl. It was really big, super hot (temperature), and tasty. It definitely hit the spot because the ambient temperature was 27 degrees Fahrenheit! There was a wind chill also which really made things worse. Anyway, this rarely happens but I couldn't finish my bowl. Partly because it was a large portion but honestly I wasn't feeling100%. The broth was slightly salty (as compared to the Shoyu broth) and it was rich. They put in a raw egg into the broth and added a generous amount of fatty pork. On an ordinary day, the richness wouldn't have bothered me and I would have eaten 90% or more of the bowl. I focused on eating the veggies (bean sprouts and bok choy), the ramen itself, and only some of the pork. Service was ok. We had a party of six and the couldn't/wouldn't combine tables so we sat apart. It's a small restaurant so getting their attention was easy.

What a pleasant surprise to find a good ramen shop in this European town after long flights…read more Conveniently located in old town. Small but doesn't give a cramped feeling. Noodles were perfectly al dente and soups were hot. Loved the fact they gave generous amount of toppings (we are so used to a tiny bit of toppings at many places in the U.S.). We left with full anf happy tummies. The service was great, too.
