I had a Miyabi obento for lunch. The spinach with sesame and kakuni (meat) were a little bit sweet and I wonder if there is a person from western Japan in the kitchen. The tempura was nicely fried. The person who served me was very polite. I felt happy after I finished eating there. read more

I had almost given up on my hunt for authentic Asian cuisine in Prague.. but thank god for Yelp because I found this place and my mind is blown. Probably the first place where I'm willing to pay the high cost because that's how good it is. Hidden away on a side street about 5 min away from the Karlovo Namesti metro stop, this place is authentic Japanese. They have a great lunch menu as well as a number of seasonal menus and degustation dishes. I ordered the Miyabi -small, which contained grilled salmon, steamed pork in sauce, tempura, spinach with some sort of sauce and sesame, and pickled vegetables. Was not disappointed at all. The meal cost me 300 kc which is definitely expensive, but by American standards for Japanese food, the price isn't that appalling given how delicious and authentically prepared everything was. Miyabi's menu is great because it doesn't just serve sushi--they have a lot of other more authentic Japanese home-cooking style dishes. All in all, just a fantastic find and I'll definitely be back to try some more items. tldr; legit Japanese food in Prague at a higher price, but given the quality, so so worth it. read more

I seriously owe our Jasmine a debt I may never be able to repay. I mean for real. The only thing I have found more difficult to find in Europe than decent Mexican is really good Asian. I get this is another one of those moments of my exposure to great and amazing food in SF tainting my perception of food everywhere else. However, this place blew me away. Super authentic, ridiculously tasty, kind of expensive, totally off the beaten path while still in city center, but totally worth it. The food was unbelievable. I am still dreaming of it, however, I realize this is a splurge place. That being said, I will be longing for it until I am able to satiate my need for it. They would get six stars if I could give it to them for playing Leonard Cohen as I ate. HEAVEN! read more

Excellent food, very beautifully done! Had the first option (ohiru obento) lunch menu which has both stew beef, vegetable and shiitake, with also miso marinated salmon and rice. Miso soup even had some mushrooms besides the usual seaweed. Salads had a good and colourful mix! Fruits salad was also very nice with some fresh tropical fruits! We ordered today from Miyabi (we used the app Wolt) for the first time and we are amazed by the deliciousness of the sushi. We had the vegetarian set, eight pieces of sunset boulevard (shrimp, mayo, crispy pieces) and the matcha yuzu ice cream. In the set there was a piece with Natto soy beans, not very easy to find in Prague, which was wonderful. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful and definitely worth it. Amazing sushi place with delicious food and excellent service. The waitresses are incredibly caring and polite, but not obtrusive. Prices are average for this type of place. The sushi offer is quite large. They have a separate menu with pictures, in case you want to see how food looks like. The restaurant is not big and has many visitors, so the reservation is definitely recommended. In addition to usual tables, they have tatami, so you can choose which way to sit. read more

Oh Sushi Chef, why art thou hiding in the back kitchen? I've never been to a Japanese restaurant where they hide the sushi chef in back. That being said, I did not have much expectation on this place. It's Prague, and I could not find in any brochure that they are known for their unagimaki rolls. We got the bento special, as this was the easiest thing on the menu to order. For Prague, the prices are average to avg high. The taste was alright, and nothing to write home about. It's of a low-medium quality to what you'd find in the States, and it was all we needed when in Prague. Don't write this place off. They give you warm towels, which is a nice touch. read more

I'm confused by these yelp reviews. I'm not picky with my sushi, but the food here is no where close to anything I've had before. Even the unagi was very hard for me to eat, and I've had cafeteria unagi. The noodles in my soup were very spongy. I also waited 40 minutes for my food.
