I can't judge the freshness of the seafood and raw stuff though it does look fresh. I was only able to stomach the lonely seafood soup while I was waiting for my 30 minute gourmet burger next door. The broth is noticeably clean/clear and very fishy at first sip. I can't say it's bad because it's difficult to mess up fresh seafood broth but I wouldn't say it's good or fantastic either. It's... okay, kinda, sorta seafood-ish. What it really lacks is depth and aromatics. Other than a few scantily twigs of cilantro, there wasn't much in the broth other than an unjustifiable amount of seafood. Now one would think with so much seafood alone it must be great. However, it's like getting a 16oz steak that is well-done. Sub-par broth with very very done seafood makes for an okay soup.

He says things like "complex flavor profile" then washes it down with a Diet Coke. I only managed a photo of the scallop before it disappeared into my stomach. Cooked to perfection. Sweet glaze on top. Delicate. Balanced. Honestly one of the better things I ate on the entire trip. What stood out most was the chef's style. No two plates looked the same. Each one had its own story. You could tell someone cared back there. After I cleaned my plate, the waitress came over. She had a mouth on her that would make a sailor blush, but somehow it worked. In the middle of Czech Republic?! Yes, it's real! It's a cute shop run by a European who told us he's married to a Filipina. It's a small shop that sells basic Filipino food and snacks that you would miss if you're OFW. Kind of like a sari sari store. He was a very friendly gentleman who takes good care of his shop. We could not resist ordering his lunch special of chicken curry served with Jasmine rice.It was delicious. He is a trained chef and his wife taught him to cook Filipino dishes. We met other Filipinos visiting from Germany who bought their ingredients there. We enjoyed chatting with Martin and the other pinoys.
