I highly recommend filing medical complaints with the board of medicine against Dr. Rubina Alvi…read more She is the worst doctor I have ever experienced. Avoid at all costs if your health is important to you. I am filing a complaint against her to the Maryland Medical Licensing Board for attempted murder and retailiation. She is an evil person. I requested a prescription for a medication that is life or death for me. I told her I would die without it because I do not have a thyroid due to cancer. She coldly and heartlessly refused. When I naturally got upset at the fact that I could die and she did not care - I was discharged from the practice. Guess what? The next doctor I saw thought she was evil and crazy for not prescribing the medication I needed to survive and he had not problem prescribing it to me. She hates Americans. You'll be sorry with your life if you patronize this evil practice. They don't care if you suffer or die. They block your number and their staff is rude, evil and uncaring as well.

Everyone is soooo nice, warm, welcoming and professional. You can't help but to leave the office smiling. They really take care of you here, with nice touches as a warm washcloth to wash your face after a cleaning and offering a fluoride treatment (something my previous dentist of 15 years never did!).I've already scheduled my 6 month appointment and will be referring family and friends. Thank you Pearl Smiles!!

Without her, it's three stars at best. I doubt we will return here though. My last experience with the remaining dentist was unfavorable. I've been coming here for quite some time, and the staff has always been pleasant and professional,…read moreso I want to be fair in sharing my experience. That said, I've now had a temporary crown for about three weeks. When I came in for my permanent crown, I was told it was slightly off and needed to be remade. I understand that these things can happen, but being told I now have to wait another two weeks--because the crown is made off-site--is very frustrating. In 2026, when turnaround times for most services are incredibly fast, waiting over a month total for a dental crown feels excessive. I appreciate the quality control, but the timeline has been inconvenient. Fortunately, I have the option to explore alternative solutions, but I hope the process can be improved for future patients.

I began a long process of dental implants with Dr Katkow in February of this year. I was impressed…read morewith the chair side manner of Dr Katkow, immediately putting me at ease and making me feel very comfortable in his office. We talked at length about different processes, and he referred me to an oral surgeon, Dr Richard Nessif, for further evaluation. In the meantime, we began the process of impressions, measurements and models. This process took 6 months with many appointments to get everything just right. At each appointment, which was usually a minimum of 45 minutes, I felt like I was his only patient. He never left me sitting by myself, waiting for his return. And if he had to step out of the room, his assistant was there in case I needed anything. He took his time, never rushing, to make sure every aspect of the appliances were perfect. On the day of delivery it was obvious Dr Katkow is an expert in his field. The implants fit perfectly. His precise measurements have ensured a perfect fit and a very happy patient! Along with an outstanding experience I had with Dr. Katkow, his office staff should also be mentioned. They are friendly, welcoming, professional and helpful in making sure you get the appointments that fit your schedule. They are masters of scheduling since most appointment wait times are less than 3 minutes in the waiting room. If you need a complicated procedure, this is the doctor you want to visit. In every way, it was an outstanding experience.
