If you are seeking quality care, friendly & relatable staff, impeccable chair-side service, and a…read moreteam that is passionate about their practice and their people then this is the dental team for you! I found Dental Designs of Maryland (White Marsh Location) on Google and I am kicking myself that I haven't been here sooner! For context, I had a pretty gnarly dental experience that kept me away for two years (for shame, I know. Don't judge me), so I had a lot of trepidation going back after so long and after such a terrible experience. From the moment I walked through the door and was greeted by the biggest, brightest smiles, I knew I was in the right place. This office exudes warmth, inclusivity, and care. I was immediately taken into the back (I pre-filled my forms, so no wait time at all), given a tour of the office, and was informed every single step of the way to help me set expectations. Not only was Dr. Santos extremely knowledgable but her and her team were also kind and informative - I knew what was going to happen, what was happening, and what next steps would be each step of the way. I've already convinced my husband to make an appointment too! I have a long journey ahead (wisdom teeth removal, braces, and cleanings) and I couldn't feel more at home with this practice. I trust them completely to take great care of me on this journey to reinvent my smile! I'd give them 100 stars if I could!

So far, I'm impressed! After moving to Baltimore, I needed a new dentist. My search narrowed it…read moredown to 2 and one couldn't see me for months and then wouldn't answer the phone. Dental Designs it is, and I think I chose wisely. The staff was so pleasant when I arrived. I even got a quick tour, which included a peep at their 'molar making machine'. No that's not what it's called, but I don't remember its technical name. It's like a Dental 3D printing machine that makes teeth (an easy description, but in a nutshell). Can you believe that?! Crazy. Dr. Dezwirek and the whole team were on point. Of course, as a new patient I had to take Xrays. When Dr. Dez examined me he had already reviewed my XRays. And when Cindy cleaned my teeth I realized she too had reviewed my XRays. They were all on it. What's that saying, you never get a second chance to leave a first impression; they left a good one.

Five stars isn't enough for Dr. Cho and his team. My husband found a local dentist and easily…read morescheduled appointments with a friendly staff. He was quickly informed over the phone that they take our insurance and the staff gave him quotes for initial X-rays, eval, and cleaning for my mom without dental insurance. The hygienist was thorough and my hubby kept commenting how his teeth felt squeaky clean and smooth for over a week! He took his old, cracked night guard for a replacement. Dr. Cho was very professional and informative in explaining the cause of the crack and recommended an affordable guard and the right thickness that'll protect his teeth. Dr. Cho also kindly taught my hubby how to safely brush his teeth to further prevent gum recession. After my husband's exemplary experience, my mom and I went in for our appt. We scheduled back to back to take turns watching my 15 month old toddler in the waiting area. We arrived early and Dr. Cho greeted us and saw my mom earlier than her appt time. My mom hasn't seen a dentist since my dad passed away 4 years ago, so she was scared. Dr. Cho's chair-side manners were superb which kept her very calm and even enthusiastic about further taking care of her teeth- she needs crowns. Dr. Cho conservatively recommended the work she needs done and before we left the office the front staff gave us quotes for her next visit. As a 7 month old pregnant mom with a toddler, I can say this office is very family friendly. Dr. Cho ordered minimal x-rays to address my worries of cavities and the staff took extra caution when taking the x-rays. The eval and cleaning was thorough and quick so laying on my back wasn't uncomfortable. There was a cute corner for my toddler to play and lots of space to walk around to enjoy her stay at the dental office while grandma's and Mom's teeth were being taken care of by Dr. Cho and his awesome staff. Now that she's familiar with the office and friendly staff, we decided to schedule our daughter's first dental appt, too. We already appreciate our new family dentist very much!

I had an incredible experience with Dr. Pete Diacoloukas for my teen son. His pediatric dentist,…read moresuggested Dr. Pete because that's who he uses. I reached out on the website to set up an appt. and received a call back that day from Dr. Pete and he has been my point of contact from day one. I've never dealt with anyone, but him. I had met with a few dentists prior to meeting with him and felt very confused with what we should do for our son. From the moment I walked in, he was friendly, welcoming, and extremely professional. He explained things easily and took the time to explain every step of the process and made sure I was informed throughout. I really liked when he had the work done, my son was his only appointment, which was a 4-5 hour process. We never felt rushed and knew that he was going to be Dr. Pete's focus that day. The results of my son's dental work went well beyond our expectations. His teeth and smile has never looked better! The attention to detail, artistry, and care Dr. Pete Diacoloukas brings to his work is truly outstanding. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a skilled, compassionate, and trustworthy cosmetic dentist! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a high level of precision and care.

Absolute BUTCHER. I…read moreset up appointments for my whole family after reading the good reviews (there are only 3, and now that makes sense. I suspect they are either fake or sponsored). My first appointment was supposed to be for intake - Xrays, etc. - and a cleaning. They only did the Xrays and rescheduled me for the cleaning. Unprofessional start, but whatever. Then today I arrived to my 2pm appointment on time and the "cleaning" started at 2:50pm. Annoying, but it's a dental appointment. Not a huge deal. Now, onto the torture. Right off the bat Dr. Nicole Stewart-Joseph was incredibly passive aggressive, mocking me for using the napkin they put around your neck to spit out some excess mouthwash the dental assistant gives you. Then tells me alright I'm going to be cleaning your gums and it's going to hurt. Weird, but ok sure it's always a little uncomfortable. Then she proceeds to absolutely obliterate my gums with undeniably excessive force using the needle hook tool, while yelling at me to stop moving. I'm not squirmy at all with pain, but this was unbearable and I couldn't help but keep reflexively flinching - and all the while she's yelling "I warned you, I warned you!" You should know I'm a 35 year old male who's had 1-2 cleanings every year since I was a child. I know what a cleaning feels like. So at this point I'm like what is actually happening right now, and try to mumble to let her know we need to take a break. She continues without hesitation, yelling at me to stop talking, stop moving, and that it's my fault for not brushing my gums well enough. I brush my teeth *and gums* twice every single day. I've actually been told in the past I brush my gums TOO hard and had to dial it back in the past. So, my gums are more than tough enough for a regular cleaning. I know what it feels like to have a painful cleaning because you haven't brushed or flossed enough - this was absolutely not that. So 10 minutes into this "procedure" I'm now choking on my own blood and spit because she's not even suctioning anymore, just yelling at me. So I had to physically get out of the chair, remove the napkin necklace, and speedwalk out of there like I was escaping a Game of Thrones torture scene. Absolutely insane. I'm home now still shaking in disbelief this happened. There is absolutely no reason a cleaning should be THAT painful - all while a medical professional is yelling "It's your fault!" and "I warned you!". Spare yourself and find a different dentist.

I was seen on time, I didn't feel rushed through my appointment and everything was explained to me in terms I could understand. I liked how Dr. Stewart was not trying to sell me on treatment that I didn't need, nor inquired about.
