Still the very best at the island Ponza. Antipasti di Mare…read morewas excellent as well as the antipasti with ham, Parmesan and salami. The tuna is extremely yummy and the sword fish as well. Highlight: Home made Tiramisu.

We had a mixed antipasti platter with all kinds of small seafood dishes prepared in a very creative (and flavorful) way. We kept talking about it throughout our trip in Italy. For our mains I had a very good pasta with anchovies, tomatoes, and a lemony sauce. I'm usually not an anchovies person but it was so good! My mom had a tuna that was very good, I had a few bites and would recommend it to anyone who comes here! It was like eating steak but much lighter and tastier. We also had a glass of wine each, which were nice. The view at sunset is very beautiful, probably the prettiest sunset view we had while in Ponza, because of how high up it is. Come here!

Stomach growling as I was walking down Viale Pasitea (the main thoroughfare in town), multiple good options caught my eye. After some Gmaps searching (sorry Yelp, again limited and some outdated data in Europe!) their beautiful IG-able interior + stellar reviews cinched the decision for me. It's both a restaurant and retail store--the latter carries local ceramics, kitchenware and home decor, many with botanical designs--capturing that quintessential coastal vibe--colors back to white. The former takes up the remaining three-quarters of the white-washed space with about two dozen tables seating about 40-50 people. Live vines hang from parts of the ceiling, pendant lighting fixtures printed with leaf patterns echo the botanical theme from the retail displays. The aesthetic rounds out with tiled floors, light wood furniture, and pillowed banquette seating mixed with individual tables, tying in designs from the home goods store. Food is new Italian--they do carry some traditional dishes though they also have a modern Mediterranean section of the menu that adds non-traditional ingredients or techniques. They also serve a variety of cocktails, fresh-squeezed or blended juices and smoothies, and coffee drinks. Lunch with an entree and drink will run you about €35-40, which is on the higher side though par for the course compared to other similar restaurants along the Amalfi Coast. I ordered the traditional fagioli cannellini, scarola, capperi, olive e calamari gratinati €26 (cannellini beans, escarole, capers, olives and gratinated calamari). This was creamy and tasty even though it had no cheese or cream, the calamari was cooked well, just tender enough, and coated with light breadcrumbs, which I appreciated as it was baked and not deep-fried. Having minimal familiarity with dish, I can only say I thought it was outstanding, good textural contrast, not too salty. Staff was the right amount of attentive without being overbearing, and though their English was limited, they strove to answer my questions on ingredients in a few of the dishes. The restaurant was pretty busy during lunch, but I never felt rushed. Loved the atmosphere and food here, would certainly recommend!

However, my Iced latte was essentially milk with essence of coffee. The Greek yogurt bowl had no form of sweetener like honey on it. And the açaí bowl was very tart with unripe bananas and figs on top. Their prices are also a little expensive for what they give you.

The pizza was amazing and I haven't had one better yet. The lobster pasta was cooked perfectly and the lobster itself was amazing. Not overcooked, not too oceany tasting yet freshly caught. The ravioli stuffed with potato and the veal sauce was like a shepherd's pie. I thought it was great! My wife preferred the lobster pasta. We finished the meal with a delizia al limone. It's a lemon sponge cake with a lemon sauce over it. It was good here, but we had better at another restaurant. Overall was a great dining experience. The service was typical of Europe where you don't see wait staff as often so don't be afraid to raise your hand if you need or want something. Seif was an awesome staff member and gave us wonderful advice for our upcoming honeymoon. And he also gave wonderful advice for being newly weds. The ambiance is more upscale looking and feeling. There isn't really a view of anything specific but not every meal needs a view of the Positano cliffs. Highly recommend eating here if you're in Positano.
