But we weren't going to move her unless we could get her into a new place. I received a phone call to come in and to tour the school and was informed they are waitlisted and won't have space. On that call, I mentioned that maybe it's best I just skip since we're only trying to move if we can get in her somewhere, not just to waitlist. They said no please come in and tour, it's very likely we can get her in after I mentioned I wasn't going to tour then. I toured the school. It appeared nice; kids looked happy. After speaking with the owner for a bit she kept mentioning there's people on her waitlist that have been ghosting her multiple attempts to enroll and it's very likely she will get in. "just give her a few days". We regretfully signed up my daughter on the waitlist and signed up my son for after school care that wouldn't start until the fall school year begin. Well days became weeks and still nothing. I attempted to contact the school to try to get some information on what was happening. The first day I the phones weren't working. I was later able to contact the Assistant Director who was unable to provide me any information or help me whatsoever. Not sure how an Assistant Director can't provide any information on what is going on with the status of my daughter if you're the Assistant Director. I explained other schools have openings and I need to know what is going on with my daughter being the fact it was basically 'duped' to us that she would get it. They would not provide me any information. We ended up having to enroll in another school because I can't take the risk of not getting in when they have space because another school is unable to provide me information. Eventually they reached out the following week and was like yeah, you're SOL and this is good feedback for the future that we should provide communication. LOL what? We said forget it and disenrolled our son for after care well over a month before anything was supposed to start. In the end my family and I are out $900 and my kids never even seen the place. I honestly don't even think they situation we were told about was true and they just lied/duped us to make it seem like she would get in and took our money. I understand paying a deposit. Everyone does it. Although Goddard is certainly the highest, I've ever seen. It's nearly double the Preps and Primrose. What is terrible is the about half of the $900 is for other 'fees, future enrollment, supplies" etc. whatever they want to call it. Besides the deposit, the rest of that money should be returned to us. My kids never even went to the school and disenrolled week above months' notice. I hope they enjoyed our $900 and making us feel duped to think we'd even get it in. If you tour the school, do not sign up unless you have a spot.

The Owner is extremely communicative and accommodating and the office staff provides so many opportunities to be involved. Our children are happy and enjoy going to school every single day which makes being working parents a little bit easier! The teachers care so much and we haven't had a poor experience or interaction with anyone at Goddard. Finally, I am so confident in my oldest child's preparedness for Kindergarten. The teachers genuinely care about their students and go above and beyond to ensure they are thriving. Recently, my Pre-K 4 son was having a difficult morning, and his teacher noticed and took the time to ask him about it. He felt comfortable opening up to her, and because of that conversation, we were able to help him have a much better morning the next day. I am so grateful for that kind of genuine love and care for my children! I'm also a Room Mom for my older son's kindergarten class and have loved every minute of it. The PTO provides wonderful resources and support, making involvement easy and enjoyable. Most importantly, I love that Jesus and His love for the children are at the heart of everything they do. My daughter came in a little unruly and not yet socialized enough, she had a speech delay that was being worked on in speech therapy, and she had a lot of energy without direction. Her teachers, Mrs. Valeria, Mrs. Martin (no longer there), and Mrs. Richards (her new teacher), all treated J with such kindness and patience. I felt so comfortable leaving her in their care and I couldn't have asked for a better first school year for my daughter. I volunteered at the school and saw first hand the love these teachers show each and every day, not just my daughters teachers but every single teacher there. I wish I could have kept my daughter here longer but they only go up to pre-k, soon hopefully they'll offer their Bridge to Kinder program- if they do- JUMP ON IT! A cool tidbit of info- they work with the Georgetown Library and have the Wowmobile visit a couple times a year. It's really sweet and my daughter always spoke fondly of it. I have toured over 15 schools and this was the school I fell in love with and I have zero regrets. It was a 20-25 minute commute to take her to school and some people aren't willing to make a drive like that, especially with so many preschools and child care places available in every town- my daughters happiness and safety was worth the drive. We…read morewere extremely excited to have our infant son go to preschool here, but Monday I showed up to pick him up and his teachers weren't wearing masks. They had removed them during the day without notice, as they were no longer technically required. I pleaded directly with his teachers to see if they were open to wearing them voluntarily, then with the director Jeneffer. My husband and I decided to withdraw our son. Even if they agreed at that point they had broken our trust; there was no way of knowing if staff would wear their masks when we weren't there. My husband spoke with the owner Emily on the phone, who during a heated conversation had a few odd things to say about the pandemic (including saying that staff weren't wearing masks during our tour in January, so we can't expect them now. Like, what?). We paid half tuition in July to save our son's spot under Emily's assurance that they would take every precaution when he started school in August. One month in, I feel duped and I'm suddenly without childcare. This is an excellent school, but I can't recommend them during the pandemic.

They will try to take away time from your lunch and have you do other stuff for the job, as if I'm not here full time already and need my full hour of lunch to relax for me as I should. 6. I was being asked by Jennifer, Where am I going for lunch because I did not want to stay in the building for my lunch. When I am off the clock, That is none of your concern first and foremost. I had asked her where Easter eggs were and that's when she showed me in the shed and started questioning me with abnormal questions where no one else was around and could hear the conversation. My privacy felt violated, I felt extremely uncomfortable. 7. If you've never been with a certain age group before, they will throw you in a class by yourself and expect you to know how to do everything, then give you attitude for not knowing and micromanage you for not doing this or that. 8. I unfortunately thought maybe this would've been a good place for myself to work at. Don't be fooled by a smile, it absolutely disgust me with the way these "women" behaved towards me and other employees. When parents are out the building, they are different towards the kids and us employees. The lazy employees/ bossy employees get prioritized, But the hard workers get treated horribly. that's why they can't find assistant teachers to stick around long in classrooms.

In the past year, my kid has stumbled through atleast 7-8 new teachers...( i am not talking about subs, i am talking about complete replacement of the face your kid is spending 8 hours with). There seems to be no stability in the young kids life in terms of classroom environment / teachers and friends. I strongly believe that there needs to be some level of consistency in a child's life, to prosper. Teachers quitting so frequently might also be a reflection of the management/their hiring policies in general.
