Mrs. Leti and Ms. Brianna have been absolutely amazing along with the rest of the staff that work with them. As a first time mom they have truly helped me get my child on a schedule, supported her though health challenges and just overall are incrediable humans. They model how I want my child to act and I feel they truly love my child like their own. We would not be as far as we are in milestones without them. They are patient and kind and I feel like they are my village for my child, I could not be happier!

Many of the long-tenured teachers and administrative staff who had been with the school for 5+ years are no longer there, and the turnover has been very noticeable. The environment and approach feel completely different from what originally made this school such a wonderful place. If you are specifically looking for an authentic Montessori environment, I would strongly encourage you to do your research before enrolling here. Based on my experience, the school no longer reflects the Montessori philosophy and standards that initially attracted us. The changes in staff and classroom approach have been extremely disappointing. There was a child left outside for 10 minutes unattended and footage deleted. I feel horrible for not only the parents but this precious child. I cannot imagine how scary that must've been. There have also been ongoing plumbing issues, including situations where the school has had to shut down because of backed-up toilets in classrooms. We received an $50 for the week. yikes! Over the past six or more months, I have also noticed a persistent mildew/musty and unpleasant smell throughout the school. Unfortunately, the facility simply does not feel as clean or well-maintained as it once did. It genuinely hurts to leave this review because I once had such a positive opinion of this school and would have gladly recommended it. However, the changes over the past several months have been significant, and I can no longer recommend it to other families. I sincerely hope the school addresses the staffing, cleanliness, maintenance, and overall management concerns because there was once something very special here. As things stand today, though, I would recommend families consider other options.

She is…read morehighly allergic too: This last time they were all over and her privates, hands, legs, feet, and arms and she was wearing jeans, boots, socks, long sleeves. She is on her third teacher and when I came to pick her up the teacher told me she was sitting in ants and was crying and someone came to her. But nothing was done about it. No apology, no solution, and just a shrug of the shoulders was what we got in response to all of her ant bites. This all stems from Mr. Headley who is the director's father-in-law and he is a leader at good Shepherd Lutheran Church. I also know many people that used to work there and got fired by him and have many stories to tell you about how crooked he is and this business is. If I could attach all the smart Alec and nasty rude emails he sent in response to a logical concern I would. And I'm not sure why he would respond instead of the director but the director ended up staying out of the whole thing and was not there when my husband went to talk to him. We were kicked out and told we cannot come back tomorrow because I did not show up to the meeting and he knew I was not going to show up because I had a previous appointment. He has control issues and they never take responsibility or have solutions for what can be done next and have never made apologies or taken actions or offered to talk to the rotation of staff.

I have been searching many day cares in Cedar Park and was downhearted and stressed when I found Pathways. Immediately upon viewing the campus and security and classrooms I felt at ease. It is clean and seemed to be a safe and loving environment. The director was incredibly pleasant and understand of my situation and spent time with me to answer my questions and talk through my concerns. I would be thrilled to have my kids there or to recommend this to other parents. I wish it could have worked out for me, but I wanted to be sure to write this review of my experience there and to let other parents know they should definitely consider this a TOP option.

Both children were given the space, and their own individual needs to succeed. The staff and leader ship have always been transparent about how many children were doing and what they were doing, which reassured me on how they were doing throughout the day. Communication lines I've always been open with teachers and my messages have always been conveyed if I had any. My kids were always given the time and consideration that they needed, especially my son. When he entered the junior toddler classroom as he was scared to be away from me every day, they gave him extra cuddles until he was comfortable to play on his own. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a nurturing place for their child.

I have asked repeatedly for specific, weekly updates on my child's lessons and never received these updates consistently. I cannot monitor my child's academic progress or help him at home without knowing what he is learning in the classroom. My child tells me that he is not regularly receiving new lessons. Without further information from the school, I have to believe that this is true. After his mid-year MAP scores declined, I began home-schooling him in the afternoons, because the classroom instruction is inadequate. Our family chose Goodwater because I was assured that the Montessori model would meet each child's academic needs. This was preferable to our family because we wanted to see our child continue to progress apace with his ability. Instead, the children who are quiet, self-directed, and ahead of grade level are neglected and left to coast. It seems to me now to be a systemic and endemic issue at the school in which parents are deliberately kept as ignorant as possible as to what their children are (not) being taught, to disguise how far standards have fallen within the classroom. After the most recent parent-teacher conference when I directly asked, again, for more specific and regular information on what my child was learning, I was told that was not the Montessori model. There is nothing in a Montessorian educational model that precludes sharing regular information with parents. At a basic level, if a school cannot regularly and provably show parents that their children are learning and progressing, then that school is failing its students.

My daughter came in a little unruly and not yet socialized enough, she had a speech delay that was being worked on in speech therapy, and she had a lot of energy without direction. Her teachers, Mrs. Valeria, Mrs. Martin (no longer there), and Mrs. Richards (her new teacher), all treated J with such kindness and patience. I felt so comfortable leaving her in their care and I couldn't have asked for a better first school year for my daughter. I volunteered at the school and saw first hand the love these teachers show each and every day, not just my daughters teachers but every single teacher there. I wish I could have kept my daughter here longer but they only go up to pre-k, soon hopefully they'll offer their Bridge to Kinder program- if they do- JUMP ON IT! A cool tidbit of info- they work with the Georgetown Library and have the Wowmobile visit a couple times a year. It's really sweet and my daughter always spoke fondly of it. I have toured over 15 schools and this was the school I fell in love with and I have zero regrets. It was a 20-25 minute commute to take her to school and some people aren't willing to make a drive like that, especially with so many preschools and child care places available in every town- my daughters happiness and safety was worth the drive. Tour the school, meet their curriculum director, get a feel for it- I guarantee you'll love it.

Even when we moved from Georgetown I made the trip up just so make sure he could finish there. I am so impressed by the staff there. Most of if not all have a degree in child education so this isn't your run of the mill daycare where they hire kids fresh out of high school. This is his last year here as he will go to kindergarten in the fall and I feel like they have prepared him 100% for the transition to "real" school. I love the projects he brings home and the sweet songs they teach him. I highly recommend the learning tree to any parent in the area!
