I have two of my three kids at Grace Academy (third to start next year) and each year I fall more in love with the school. Besides a fabulous education and a faculty that has high expectations of what our kids can do, their hearts are being filled to see God in all they do and hide His word in their hearts. I see kids checking on a classmate that is standing to the side, upper classmen giving hugs to my little kids and teachers praying daily with their students. I stayed for chapel just the other day (occurs most Mondays) and I couldn't help but be overwhelmed to know how my kids are starting their week, focused on God, and giving thanks to Him. After searching for years before our children started elementary school, we stumbled upon Grace Academy in Georgetown. We were seeking a school that would partner with us in training up our children, rather than taking over. Five years and four enrolled children later, Grace has proven time and again that we are right where God wants us to be. Our desire was for a school that didn't just have "Christian" in their name, but used curriculum that wove the Word of God into every aspect of the school day. There are many excellent schools in the area that will educate our children, but Grace seeks to grow them not just acedemically, but more importantly, in Godly character and wisdom. If I could give this place a no star rating I would. Talked to someone today about enrolling our children. The conversation was going well and I was really considering putting our children in there. However , when I mentioned to the woman on the phone that we are not a conventional family, oh my how the conversation turned south quickly. It was clear and very apparent that if you are not the "typical" family in their eyes , you probably wouldn't be welcomed there. The administrator told me " There is no policy at this time stating you cant come here , but perhaps you may want to look at another school" Paraphrasing what she said here.... WOW really ? I would never EVER send my children to a school that appears to have an issue with any family that doesn't fit their "perfect" model, or to take the chance that they would try to teach my children anything else but the fact that everyone deserves love and respect no matter who they are ! read more

As a parent I couldn't ask for a better school than Grace Academy. The teachers love our children like their own and we've seen so much growth in our children that we are fully bought in on the classical Christian teaching model. Our kids have been at Grace for 8 years now and we are so thankful for the education they are getting. A Classical Christ centered education that is preparing them for not only college but for LIFE! They are already reaping the benefits of being able to have a reasonable discussion about biblical truths, current and historical events. They have teachers who care about not only their academic performance but the condition of their heart as well. We are in our 9th year at Grace Academy and have two kids enrolled. We have made sacrifices to be here, but they have been well worth it. The mission statement says it all! This has been a great school for my children and a great community for our family. We have been here for 6 years. Where "Bible" is not just a class - all learning happens through the lens of Scripture and true heart discipleship takes the place of mere behavior modification. The teachers love the Lord, love their subjects, and (utmost importance to me as a Mom) love their students, challenging and encouraging them continually!
