This center just opened and Lashelle and Manoj were so helpful and understanding in our situation. So knowledgeable and kind. I appreciate them so much from the tour to our last day. We talk to fellow parents who have had horror stories from other childcare options nearby and they say we are so lucky that we found St. Philips first. Another mom attended as a child and drives 45 minutes so her son can get the same care. The pricing is also amazing - they currently offer 2, 3, and 5 day options from 9-2. My daughter comes home and naps for 2-3 hours so the schedule works perfectly for us. There is not teacher turnover like at other places either. These women live in the community with us and have been teaching at St. Philips for years. My daughter is currently in Ms. Lee's class and she is an absolute gem. She sends extremely detailed weekly emails going over our curriculum for the week and topics to talk about around the dinner table. It makes me feel like I'm not missing out or out of the loop. She also shares her funny moment of the week and I love hearing stories about funny things our kids say to her haha. For an anxious mom, I also love that I can see hundreds of photos that they upload to our private shared Google drive. The amount of creativity that these teachers have is insane! They have turned the entire building into a railroad station and the north pole for Christmas, a massive candy land board game, and many many more. The art projects cover every inch of the room and it is such a happy place. My jaw literally drops when I see the pictures! My daughter tells me that she wishes she could go to school everyday. This was her first school experience so we were worried about her being overstimulated or overwhelmed in the beginning but literally the first day was the only hard drop off. On day 2 she walked in like a complete champ! I honestly wish we signed her up for the 2s class a year earlier! The potty training curriculum would have helped us! Haha I like that it isn't a massive facility where I feel like my kid could get lost (three 13 person classes). It honestly feels like a family and such a safe environment. I was also raised catholic, but am not religious now. I've been around those environments before that can be kinda toxic and this place is completely loving and inclusive. It is a small part of their curriculum so I wouldn't let that piece take them off the table if it is a concern. My daughter also surprises me with how much she is learning. Her letter recognition and sounds have really benefited from their curriculum and daily phonics song. Last week she said "pig....puh puh....pig starts with P just like my name!!" She also is really fascinated about the days of the week, months, weather, etc. so even though the socialization and emotional regulation are the most important facets at this age, she is absorbing information like a sponge. I'm so excited to send our other kids here.

We have noticed a huge improvement in his letter sounds and he is writing beautifully. We have a few months to go before we are up to speed with his grade level in reading, but his confidence is through the roof. I can't wait to see where he is at and how he feels after a year with Kumon. We also enrolled him in their Math program. The repetition they promote has worked GREAT for our son. He just started addition and feels very empowered by the work he has been doing. I am so proud of him and am SO happy we chose Kumon for our son.

Both of my kids have VERY different personalities, and I feel like all the teachers have adapted and responded to both of their different needs so well! The owner, Ms Kathryn, has amazing communication skills and has created such a sweet community here in Manor for parents, teachers and kids. There was a parents night out recently that my oldest was begging to go to just to have a chance to be back at her old school! All of the teachers here are kind, friendly and trustworthy. We receive multiple updates and pictures per day and they have fun, interactive activities and lesson plans. My kids have gone to many different daycares, camps and schools and this has been one of our favorites jsut because it truly feels like part of our family!

They have handled the Covid-era very well and kept our children healthy and safe. I love their curriculum, the Make Believe Boulevard play room, outside play areas and that TLE includes the extracurricular activities on a rotation versus bringing in outside vendors that you have to pay extra for or feel guilty not signing up for. My fiancé and I paid The Learning experience as a private preschool for our African American 4…read moreyear old son, at the time the only African American student enrolled full time. What we received from day one was antagonizing, harassing discriminatory treatment from Erin director and owner with constant threats to kick our son out. 3, 2, 1, the branding and numbers on the front of the building, is the disciplinary action steps The Learning Center uses to push out a child before after accepting payments. 1 send the child Home for a day, 2 send the child home for 2 days, 3 ask the parent to take the child somewhere else. Before enrolling we were told this center was a private preschool it is not. I was made to complete more than 20 forms specifying my child's allergies etc that weren't followed. I put it in writing that we don't give our son cookies or sweets and received pictures this wasn't the case etc. For days in a row after paying $125 for an enrollment fee and $1125 for the month. Erin the owner would call us and ask that we come and pick up our son an hour after dropping him off for seemingly nothing at all. She also lied multiple times. The cameras in the center do not work to record only as a live feed for center owners husband to watch from home (what is this about). Day two of my child being at the day care I was called by Erin and told my son was behaving uncharacteristically and I needed to come get him at 9am in the morning roughly an hour after dropping him off. I was told my son was up walking around during story time touching toys and didn't return to his seat. Instead of getting 8 hours of day care on this day I got one. I explained that my son was in a Montessori for 2 years and I never had problems, and had been home with me during Pandemic. My fiancé and I decided this center would not be best for our child and we privately searched for another school to put him in. At this point in the final days I would ask teachers in heavily overly populated classes (1 teacher/ 20+ students) how my son behaved? I would get good reports and literally while turning the corner to leave the building be pulled into the front office every single day and told things perceived to be bad by Erin some examples include my son knocked blocks over, my son knocked over dolls from a chair, my son wouldn't share a toy he played with another student. While I paid for day care services, one day I came to the day care and sat and watched my own son for about two hours during which two white students sat at a table one with a sharp pencil in his hand pretending to stab another student in the eye. I pointed this out to myself and nothing was done but my son constantly was sent home. The heartbreak of it all is my 4 year has no clue why he was asked to leave the school every other day and keeps asking to go to school. I do not recommend this place, it's sad that as a mother I was dragged into the office with the centers owner daily to talk about stuff four year old boys do for hours at a time. Your son we to the bathroom multiple times, your son grabbed a toy from a shelf during center time please pick him up. My sons self esteem took multiple hits during an attempt at a four year old character assassination. Now thankful that I recorded audio telephone calls and videos of my interactions.
