MANY years of dog and cat hair had accumulated in our ducts. Wads of hair would show up in the furnace filter. I could get the first few feet of the ducts on my own, but there was tremendous buildup all along the return ducts. The actual supply and return duct cleaning was performed completely and efficiently. They had to stop the machine mid-cleaning to change the (fur & dust) collection bag. I wanted to take advantage of the special price. However, my final bill was $500. And, they broke a part in my furnace. Plus, there was dust and dirt that you could scoop up with your hands. I just had Steve and his son, Hunter, come over to my place to do a full home duct cleaning. It was fantastic! Steve is incredibly knowledgeable and explained the whole process before he began the work. He walked through my home, explained the pricing and add-ons (such as cost to clean the dryer vent) and how I could do cleaning on my own. He made sure I felt very comfortable with his explanations and work. He also confirmed with me the amounts before he started the work so that there were no surprises. His son Hunter also did a fantastic job cleaning the ducts as well as keeping the work areas outside the registers clean. Steve even pointed out some things my HVAC company did that could have been better (like finishing the cutout of a service access panel in the duct work). For a very small fee he helped me finish that work. He also showed me some of the things that were found in my duct work (a nerf disc, nail, pieces of scrap wood, caulking, cardboard box, and paper) when the house was originally built in 1992. Steve also gave me some pointers about how I could improve air quality in my home even though we have A/C + furnace (since it gets really hot in summer upstairs, he recommended an attic fan). He recommended that I cut out pieces of cardboard to block a couple vents in the lower part of my house, to push some of the air to the upstairs. (A good tip!) Lastly, Steve very honestly informed me of a small piece of paint that had ripped off the wall from one of the registers (which had been painted over). Even though this was a small piece of damage which I didn't care about, Steve took the time to mention it so that it wasn't a surprise to me. Overall, I had a terrific experience. I would hire Steve and his son to clean my duct work again in a heartbeat! Pricing is very affordable! He does not charge excessively and will not charge you to do work that is unnecessary. I called OPHI since I found a coupon in a flyer. I called and made an appt. with Steve. He is super nice. They came out to the appt. and told me I had this and that. The coupon was for I think $89.95 to clean the air ducts (if you had this numbers of vents and yada, yada). My house is small 1950's 3 bedroom and 1 1/2 bathroom. I would think this would be covered in the coupon. Well $230 later my house has clean ducts. Steve and his assistant are very nice and they did take off their shoes in my bedroom (since I just had the carpets cleaned). Just be aware you are not going to just spend $90- you will pay more. read more

I am amazed how thorough Steve was, we've had our Ducts cleaned before and they didn't do a very good job (just suction) but Steve has a brush type thing that brushes in with suction & back out with suction. I can't believe all the junk that came out! Some of it was from origional construction! He checked the furnace and we needed a new filteration system, he cut into the duct work to get to a place he couldn't get to from the vents and sealed it up with a custom piece and put the taping around it so it doesn't leak & repaired a spot where the other company did it & didn't tape. They were there for over 3 hours! He goes above and beyond, is very knowledgable and trust worthy! I highly recommend him. read more

Firstly, that promotion is not your final price. My house is small (1700sq ft) and yet we paid more than double the promo value. Be ready for that as when I asked on phone I was told that the promo is for a typical house configuration. I don't think that is true as my house is pretty typical. Secondly, I would be fine with that cost if they did a better job. From vent point of view, we don't know how clean they are as we didn't see their vacuum cleaners to see how much dirt came out. What we can tell is that a lot of paint chips that fall off from removing vents were left behind. I have little kids and so we had to clean up after these guys. I think cleaning up after themselves should be part of the job. Probably a good job wasn't done because Steve mentioned that they are very busy and were rushing out the door to another job. read more

Steve is great. Three years ago he came out and cleaned our furnace and air ducts whichever hadn't been cleaned since we moved in. Steve took the motor out of the furnace and when he was done cleaning it, it looked brand new. Three days ago I called him for assistance as our furnace would not shut off, he came out that night and temporarily fixed the relay switch to get us through the night and was back the next morning with a new relay switch! I am not one to go online and right a review, but I am compelled to write a review about Steve at Oregon Premier Duct Cleaning. His quote was less than I expected. He educated me on what he was going to do. He is not a high pressure sales person. He listened to my concerns and issues. He states the facts and gives you options. He also found issues in one of returns (I think that is what it is called). There was a rag and a piece of sheet rock from who knows how long ago. I had my ducts clean about 7 years ago and the other business did not notice the rag and sheet rock blocking 65% of the return. It is know wonder my house was always so dusty. He also fixed where you slide in the filter. For years I struggled to slide in the filter. I also will be using one of his electrostatic filters instead of the paper filters that I got from the furnace technician, which was from Home Depot. I am so impressed as well as my adult son who was at my house to let Steve in while I was at work. My son was like "These guys knew there job, took their time, easy to talk with and was obvious that they enjoyed their job, cool dudes." Again, professional, honest, top quality service. OPHI was at our home on 11/21/2014 for complete duct cleaning. They were on time and Steve (the business owner) gave me an itemized bid to clean all of my ducts and to service my central air/heat furnace before any work began. He also recommended some modifications to the furnace plenums that would make the furnace deliver cleaner air and be more efficient. He and his assistant worked for four hours at our home and did an exemplary job. I highly recommend this business and the services they perform. I knew before they started any work how much the service was going to cost.
