This was my first time to this studio, and my first time having anything done to my eyelashes…read more I found them after searching for eyelash extensions; my best friend started getting them (in Seattle), and was raving about them so I decided to look into it. However, once I found I Love Lashes!, I found the LVL Lash treatment and felt it might be a better option for me. I am a low-maintenance type of girl who doesn't wear much make-up. Though I love how I look with mascara, I abhor taking it off at night so default to eyeliner or nothing at all, and the idea of the need for regular "fills" was a turn-off for me. So a few months ago I called to ask a few questions, and the girl I spoke with was very gracious and informative. Not being quite ready yet, I didn't schedule an appointment. Last month I finally decided to take the leap, and called but got an answering machine. I left my message and waited for a call back, but none came. I got a little nervous that this was a sign of the quality of the salon... Thankfully it was not. :-) A week later I decided to call again, and again got the answering machine. Argh! I left another message, stating I hadn't heard from anyone despite my call a week earlier, and was promptly called back by Lilian and given a sincere apology. She was booked out quite a ways, but she was able to schedule me with her sister, Marysol, the following Friday. Friday arrived and I made my way to Oakway Center - silly me, I've lived in Eugene on and off for years, but never realized Oakway had an indoor mall section. Guess this place is more than Trader Joes and BedBathandBeyond. Anyway, I got there a few minutes early so took a seat. The studio was small but tidy, and I found the decor to be modern, feminine, and overall quite stylish. Marysol actually ended up arriving a few minutes late, but admitted it and apologized, something I appreciated (I hate it when people try to gloss over stuff like that). She immediately got me situated in their "work" area, which is in the back of the studio behind some privacy curtains, with two comfortable, curved tables/beds for the customers to recline on; she even had a soft blanket to cover me when she noticed I was a little cold (that's not the salon's fault - everyone else was hot and I am ALWAYS cold). Finally, on to the treatment. Marysol was personable, polite and professional, and despite being a bit late, she did not rush. She explained every step before she did it, and made sure I knew what to expect. The actual process was painless and rather relaxing. The video on their website by Lisa Eldridge explains it all, so I knew roughly what would happen. The end result was fabulous! I love it - my lashes are curled just like the pics on their site, and Marysol did an excellent job making sure each lash was curled correctly (i.e. individually separated, no "clumping" like it seemed Lisa Eldridge had, which was my biggest fear). I am completely satisfied and plan to keep doing this on a fairly regular basis. I'll likely try the lash extensions, too, at some point if I have some sort of "big" even to attend, as they do look incredible. Check out their website, then given them a try. You won't regret it.

I had my second visit with Kelsey, this time for a lash lift and tint. She was absolutely…read morephenomenal once again! She is so kind, knowledgeable and professional. I was so stunned to see my natural lashes looking like they were extensions, I loved my results! She thoroughly explains her process as she is working on your treatment, which I find so reassuring and made me feel so comfortable. Thank you once again for a fantastic service!

Some constructive feedback and an honest review: There are…read moretwo parts to the building, so make sure you go to the left side where K. Nicole Beauty is and not the other side, the hair salon. I was early and waited in the hair salon part for 10 minutes, wondering why no one was coming to get me for the appt. Many places have hair and brows and facials in one building, so I had no idea. I had no idea there were two parts to the building at all, as this is usually in the follow up info after you book an appt at any professional place. It could really help clients to know exactly how to find the place if it's confusing from the outside. When I finally found her, she said people get confused all the time and end up over there-so she easily could have come and got me or put this on her booking info but instead it made me late. Also, I think K. Nicole should put on her website that if you have previous work done on your brows that you may not be a good candidate. I wish she would've asked me to send a picture so I didn't waste my time going to a consult in person. I am not leaving this review because I'm upset with her turning services away at all because I had previous work done on my brows, (because I would never want someone working on my brows that didn't want to or made me feel unwelcome and I value boundaries) but more so just feedback on the whole experience so that others can decide for themselves. She made a weird comment like "if no one else really wants to work on your brows then let me know" as if that wouldn't be extremely awkward, making clients feel like burdens for such as expensive service? I didn't overall find it very professional and overall just felt like it was an awkward experience. In my own opinion, I felt like she could've offered me a solid alternative, added more info to her site, and didn't even tell me how long my brows would have to fade before coming back or anything.
