I built this beautiful dry stack retaining wall with the help of the guys at Oregon Decorative Rock. I used their Silver Falls wall stack and small pavers for the job. I chose Oregon Decorative Rock specifically because I liked the Silver Falls rock so much. I found the employees to be very attentive and helpful. No stupid questions kind of vibe. I got rock delivered and also went back to hand pick rock to finish the job. I love how laid back the business is... it's not corporate at all... to me it was really refreshing.

Friendly and helpful people and a great selection of beautiful rocks for projects. I could do a lot of damage here if given free rein.

Bryan and Nolan were super helpful when I needed to some rock for our patio. The delivery guy, Mitch, was outstanding, too.

Pretty cool place. The price is slightly more expensive than Home Depot but they carry more varieties of rocks. Still worth it!

Prices were good, and the trees were nicely shaped. I didn't see many 8 ft+ trees, but there was a great selection for up to 7 ft. The grounds were a little muddy, and the trees were on a hill, but the trees were all planted in neat rows that made it easy to walk around and eye the trees from every angle. Once we picked our tree, we flagged down someone with a chainsaw, and they cut it down for us. The farm has a shaker and baler as well, and once our tree was prepped, it was loaded into our truck for us. It looked like the place was cash only, but there was a sign stating that they took checks as well.

The location is easy to get to but be careful because the road you turn on to get to their farm is kind of small. There is a sign that says it's coming up 500 ft away so you do get alerted! Once you park on their driveway, walk up to their farm and pick your tree amongst the rows and rows of beautiful Noble or Douglas Firs which are either $30 or $40. Once you choose the one you want to take home, flag someone down by waving your hands in the air and they'll come your way with a chainsaw and cut it down for you and also tie it to your car. Couldn't have been more easier and I'll definitely be back next year!

I prefer these small businesses over Freddy's and Home Depot. We went around 11am before a crowd. I recommend coming here if you like to avoid crowds. The parking lot is small and tight, so when it's crowded it can be challenging getting out. $40 for picking a tree and cutting it down. To me, you're paying for the experience and the quality of the tree. I mean, if you're looking to get a nice tall one, this is a good deal! We knew we wanted to get a tiny one because we have a toddler. We spent about 30-40 minutes here because we let our daughter run around through the trees holding onto leaves and sticks. It surprisingly wasn't super muddy! I still recommend wearing your rain boots, but we went on a sunny day. I love the tree lot though. Lots of various sizes!! Trees are in great condition, great shape. We were looking for small ones and there were a bunch everywhere more towards the front of the lot. They sell wreaths and some home baked cookies. I didn't see anything else, but we only came for the tiny tree and we had a ton to choose from. We saw others walking further to get a medium one. It seemed the Charlie Brown looking ones were the smaller ones-- love it! They have a small toddler/young kid playhouse decorated for the holidays and our daughter played inside it! It was so cute! My family had so much fun. They provide saws and some plastic tarp so you don't get your knee dirty. No restrooms. Cash preferred but they do take card. Support small businesses. We will be back every year, thanks guys!!

It was the same price for any size tree, and they were all very green and nicely shaped. Every time we found a tree we liked, we walked a few feet and found another better one! We were told by the owners that they are hand-trimmed to shape. I couldn't believe they were only $60! My friends paid more than twice that for their tree at another farm. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They shook the tree out for you and made twine available for you to attach to your car. Highly recommend!

The…read morecontactless curbside pickup is amazing and I hope-wish they'd keep the service after the pandemic is over. It's so easy to order and pay online, wait a few minutes for the email telling you your order is ready, and jump in your car to pick up outside the store. We've done quite a bit of sprucing up around the house during COVID since there really isn't that much going on these days. Everything from replacing HVAC filters, to buying paint to repaint the master bathroom, to rejoicing when we found hard-to-find batteries for our Christmas tree lights remote, Ace Hardware has been there for us. We buy our bird feeding supplies at Ace too. I love how all the sales people are knowledgeable about REAL hardware items and issues. Like if you have a plumbing question/issue, someone actually knows the answer and has a solution. Truly amazing customer service. It's true, they aren't the cheapest hardware store and don't stock the biggest variety like the Big Box home stores, but they seem to have everything we need when we need it. Sometimes being close by and convenient is worth paying a tad more for. My husband always gets his "$5 off" coupon in the mail every few weeks and that's a plus ($5 is $5!!!) And just a personal note, I realize the pandemic is over for most people but I do wish masks were still required inside stores. One reason we do curbside is because many employees (and customers) aren't being as careful as they used to and for those of us with underlying health conditions, a mask and social distancing is still a way of life. Ace seems to be a little inconsistent in their COVID best practices. Overall, Ace is pretty OK in my book!

When I arrived at the paint counter and asked to have the cans shaken I was abruptly interrupted with a very rude "I won't shake up that can" by someone named Jaron. I was very taken aback by his rudeness since I've had many cans of previously opened paint shaken up there before. When I asked why (in total confusion) Jaron said "I don't want your paint all over my paint shaker". I was so confused at this point I moved on to ask for help with the can of paint I needed to purchase. Jaron was just incredibly rude and refused to help by being short and condescending. I picked out my own paint. I then asked to talk to Chris, the store manager and now I know exactly why the employees act like this at this store! Chris said "I am sorry you feel that way" and tried to justify Jaron's actions by stating thy someone's can of paint spilled in their shaker. I am not at all upset that ace no longer shakes up previously opened paint cans - that is perfectly within the store's right to decide and I was very clear with Chris on that!! I am, however, appalled at how rude Jaron was and how Chris didn't listen to my concern about Jaron's attitude and instead tried to justify it with an explanation of why they don't shake up cans anymore. I reiterated I wasn't upset that they don't shake up paint cans anymore and Chris repeated, "I'm sorry you feel that way!" The number one comment narcissists make is "I'm sorry you feel that way"! The first rule of customer service is to never blame the customer and that is exactly what Chris did with a narcissistic comment. I asked to speak to Bob, the owner but have not had a call yet. This store needs a new mgr (just read the reviews here - this is a pattern) and some education in customer service. Don't waste your time here! Take your business to Lowe's or Home Depot!
