Friendly and helpful people and a great selection of beautiful rocks for projects. I could do a lot of damage here if given free rein.

Well with Covid-19, we've been doing a lot of house projects! We came here looking for rocks to make an area for a fire pit. Everyone here was extremely helpful. They helped us figure out everything we needed to prep. We decided on some antique black flagstone and it would cost $200 to get it delivered. The guy suggested that since we didn't live far, we could do it ourselves in two trips. That was an excellent idea and we actually did 4 trips because we decided to get more than we planned on and every single time they were amazing. Highly recommend this place for selection and top notch customer service. read more

Bryan and Nolan were super helpful when I needed to some rock for our patio. The delivery guy, Mitch, was outstanding, too.

This was my first time at Oregon Decorative Rock and I was amazed. I immediately knew I was in the presence of a professional and friendly team. Eric helped plan out my project by recommending the best materials for the job. Milo helped walk my a round explaining the materials, their purpose, and breaking down the cost. Additionally, Milo loaded up all of my materials from buckets to loading them into my car (so helpful)! I was in and out in less than an hour so I could get to my landscaping projects for the rest of the day. read more

Every time I've gone there, they've been extremely friendly and have the products that I need a reasonable price

We actually got our Christmas Tree here! Great quality and only $50 for any size! The service was super friendly and they even tied the tree on top of our car for us. We will definitely return in the summer to check out their rock options for our garden! read more

I've been coming to Oregon Decorative Rock for 12 years and I think it's my favorite business in all of the Portland area. Seriously. The dudes working there are always super friendly and helpful whether it's crazy hot or an absolute downpour. And they have rocks and gravel and other great stuff. All the best outdoor projects involve at least one trip to Oregon Decorative Rock. read more

I built this beautiful dry stack retaining wall with the help of the guys at Oregon Decorative Rock. I used their Silver Falls wall stack and small pavers for the job. I chose Oregon Decorative Rock specifically because I liked the Silver Falls rock so much. I found the employees to be very attentive and helpful. No stupid questions kind of vibe. I got rock delivered and also went back to hand pick rock to finish the job. I love how laid back the business is... it's not corporate at all... to me it was really refreshing. read more

Ordered gravel to fill my yard. Brian, who I worked, with was so nice and very helpful. I got exactly what I wanted for a very good price. Delivery was also super quick and easy read more

What a great business! I needed 10 bags of river rock and it was loaded up in 5 minutes while I paid. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and the price was quite reasonable. It took all of 15 minutes to get everything done. It would have been a lot more trouble at Home Depot. I will come here for landscaping materials from now on! read more

Great place to come grab rocks. The staff is friendly helpful. They have gravel to pavers, boulders, water fountains to hand carved cute rocks. They are always interested in your project and happy to give input. They also have never let me down from helping load and pick rocks to giving me a water bucket so I can see what each rock looks wet. They are by far my favorite rock stop. read more

Great selection of rock for walls and paths. Friendly and helpful selecting and loading.

Went in with my contractor to look at rock suitable for covering an overly-painted and now peeling concrete porch. We found some flat quarry rock in different colors. Once we made our selection, getting it loaded and paying for it was a cakewalk. We found the help informative, friendly, attentive and energetic. As well, we were given an unsolicited 11% discount! No complaints here as I would go back and recommend Oregon Decorative to anyone in the market for virtually any kind of rock. If they don't have it, they can likely get it or at the least, tell you who does. read more

These days it's really hard to find any level of customer service. Businesses need to use Oregon Decorative Rock as an example of what customer service SHOULD be. The young man that helped me was so nice. Seemed happy to carry my few small pavers to my car and watched out for my safety as a large delivery truck was backing into the facility. I left feeling like he was glad that I came in to the store. Thank you for setting a high standard for customer service! Give that guy a raise! read more

Rock comes from the earth. Often that means, with our antiquated mining laws, that the price is the price of transportation. And hard rock is heavy! So if you need rock, find a place nearby that has it, and a cheap means of transport from them to you. Their prices reflect the transportation costs from the earth to their site. This spot is a good place to start to learn what is available for outdoor gardening and landscaping rock. They have gravel, round river stones, boulders, pavers, flat slabs, garden bubbly pond-fountain rocks, Northwest basalt and more. A range of colors and prices. I've purchased the Mexican river rocks, gravel and E Oregon flat lava type rock at this location. I'm the first to formulate a non-slip exposed aggregate concrete for steps and paths with their product and my concrete guy - hint 1/4-3/8 clean crush NW basalt. Even indoor Yelpers may find their sorted by color and size, round and polished rocks, in bags, useful, moveable to your next spot. Most rocks are sold by the pound or ton. Bring your vehicle, weigh empty, select. load, weigh out and pay. They can deliver for a fee, but the more tonage you are buying, the more economical in total. They are smart and helpful in telling you the tons per square foot of coverage if you purchase flat rocks to cover a wall, path or patio. Everyone I've encountered is very customer oriented. Advice is free and well worth a visit to see what is available in rock from the earth. Great rock company! read more

CULTURE OF SAFETY starts with YOU! Great friendly crew for the most part. I called ahead and got a friendly human to answer my questions. And a friendly human guided me to what I needed in the parking lot. But the parking lot was busy hectic with a PGE repair truck blocking some of the gravel bins. Nevertheless, I had no trouble p backing in to fill my small order. Trouble started when I went to close my tailgate. The front end loader guy had jumped on the machine and priced to buy his way in between my tailgate and the pile of gravel behind it. I held my finger up to indicate "one sec" so that I could move out of his way and he wouldn't be coming so close (within an inch or less) to my truck. My window was also open on that side and he was stirring up a lot of dust! The guy looked at me, shook his head and proceeded to make several more speedy, cavalier trips past my tailgate. I felt unsafe and wanted to get out of that cloud of dust so I made a quick pay spend the opposite side of my truck, jumped in, rolled up my window and took the first chance I got to move out of that space. Unfortunately I ended up with a gash in my thigh and a rip in my shorts from the whole ordeal. In my opinion, that driver needs to be trained in how to balance understand the difference between doing his job safely and efficiently and bordering on reckless for the sake of speed. Injury and other liabilities tend to occur when we lose sight of culture of safety for the sake of speed read more

Excellent product, customer service, and price. The beaverton team was helpful and above and beyond kind. Caleb was our sales assistant and Tom was our delivery driver. All-star employees! read more

5 BIG STARS! Oregon Decorative Rock is absolutely one of my new favorite happy places. Their selection of everything from sand, to gravel, to river rock, to flagstones, to boulders, and natural rock fountains are extraordinary! And all it's laid out in a coherent little space. Just recently I've done a complete update of our paths, our oversized flagstone patio around our in ground fire pit, and bought fine sand for my littles sandbox. Oregon Decorative Rock has so many practical, well priced and gorgeous selections, I've really enjoyed the whole experience with them, and left with what I need each time. The return policy is easy peasy. I currently have my eye on some gorgeous flagstones, to do a front patio, and a 340lb boulder I'm hoping to fit through my gate, to place as a seat around the fire pit. Aaron, one of the managers, has been an absolute delight to work with. He makes the purchasing experience at Oregon Decorative Rock such a joy... and he is happy to answer any questions, and takes his time to make sure the customer has the information they need. We've worked with another manager Jim, who is also great. Check out my new happy place! It's awesome. 2018 #10 read more

I called to check if they had 7' basalt columns, and was told that they did have them. After driving 30 miles in traffic, the largest stones they had were 4 feet. read more

Pretty cool place. The price is slightly more expensive than Home Depot but they carry more varieties of rocks. Still worth it!

Be sure to comparison shop before you give your money to this place. Inventory is really quite overpriced, which I did not realize on my first two visits. Depending on how large your project is you can save a lot more looking at some places on the outskirts of towns. Exact same ledgestone that's 0.35/lb here is 0.23 another place I found elsewhere. Pavers that are 25 cents or more per lb here are 15-18 cents a pound elsewhere. Doesn't quite live up to its "affordable" promise, but the employees I interacted with during my visits were friendly enough and if you are in a crunch, it'll do. read more

GREAT customer service! I've been collecting flagstone for several months for a project and I've been to both locations. Although great service at both, Milo at the Beaverton location is hands down one of the best customer service experiences I've had in my 13 years in Portland. It is worth going out of my way from NE Portland to Beaverton. Thank you for the great consistent service! read more

Great company, great products, great people! Earlier today I called and asked about getting some gravel delivered. Eric from ODR asked when I wanted it delivered.m? I said, any time, he said how about right now? So not only did I get my rock delivered same day, the project is DONE. Thanks ODR Beaverton! Highly recommend. We have used their products numerous times before, as well. read more

These guys are awesome! Very knowledgeable and friendly and willing to help any way they can. I've interacted with about 5 people there and they were all fantastic. You probably can't tell from the road but the place is very well laid out and their selection is unbeatable and very good pricing! Thanks guys! read more

I have worked with the folks at Oregon Decorative Rock to landscape a handful of yards over the years. The employees are good at what they do. Be prepared to either answer their questions about your project or leave with the questions you should be asking yourself. Even with my experience building rock walls I'm ALWAYS asked, "Well, how high are you going to build this thing? How long do you want it to be?" Followed by, "Well you'll be able to cover X amount of ground at X dollars per square foot with this material, and even though it's got a cheaper price per pound you're still better off with this other stone..." And so it goes...every time...MATH! I really enjoy their beautiful selection of rock - pavers, flagstone, wall rock - specifically their quartz. And I really enjoy working with the guys on whatever I've decided is my Spring or Summer or Winter or maybe even Fall project. They deliver, too, when 1 ton of rock just won't fit in the back of your favorite Range Rover. read more

Highly Recommend! Oregon Decorative Rock has gone above and beyond to help us find what we need on multiple occasions over the last year. They are efficient in helping you park, quick to locate what you're looking for (and give advice when needed) and ready to jump in to help you load. In our last visit, my husband and I were blown away by the young man helping us.. he was literally jogging between customers to ease the shopping and checkout process. They have a great variety of options for all landscaping projects. Love supporting this business! read more

First time buying from here and was pleasantly surprised! The parking area was very small but everyone was extremely helpful and very laid back. We were a bit nervous with them needing to take apart the truck a bit to make sure the pallet of rocks fit but was very helpful in putting things back in place. Transaction was quick and easy. We will definitely come back for more landscaping projects! read more

I LOVE this place! I would like to give them seven stars. I have shopped here for over ten years and have been impressed EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm there by there super courtesy staff, how organized and tidy they keep the yard and how great the prices are. They also sponsored Southridge Football when my son played there a few years back so they are giving back to the community in more ways than supplying great service and an awesome selection of materials. I have shopped comparable local businesses but keep coming back to ODR as they always have what I want when the other yards don't. Thanks for continuing to impress after all these years! Keep up the great work! read more

Oregon decorative rock has the best quality landscaping product, as well as outstanding customer service. Unlike other rock yards, I was helped immediately after I was parked, and didn't have to lift anything. Everything was weighed and loaded in the car for me. The sales staff is also very knowledgeable. This is THE place to go to for landscaping material. read more

A little on the expensive side. But they have a HUGE selection of rock and gravel produucts. 2x more than other local rock yards. At the suggestion of my landscaper, we went here to buy some flagstone to create a set of flagstone steps we wanted to install ourselves. The selection was 3x as good as the other place we checked out in town. And they loaded the rock into our truck themselves. Good customer service. Only reason I wouldn't give them 5 stars is because they are a little expensive. read more
