Well with Covid-19, we've been doing a lot of house projects! We came here looking for rocks to make an area for a fire pit. Everyone here was extremely helpful. They helped us figure out everything we needed to prep. We decided on some antique black flagstone and it would cost $200 to get it delivered. The guy suggested that since we didn't live far, we could do it ourselves in two trips. That was an excellent idea and we actually did 4 trips because we decided to get more than we planned on and every single time they were amazing. Great place to come grab rocks. The staff is friendly helpful. They have gravel to pavers, boulders, water fountains to hand carved cute rocks. They are always interested in your project and happy to give input. They also have never let me down from helping load and pick rocks to giving me a water bucket so I can see what each rock looks wet. They are by far my favorite rock stop. read more

Went in with my contractor to look at rock suitable for covering an overly-painted and now peeling concrete porch. We found some flat quarry rock in different colors. Once we made our selection, getting it loaded and paying for it was a cakewalk. We found the help informative, friendly, attentive and energetic. As well, we were given an unsolicited 11% discount! No complaints here as I would go back and recommend Oregon Decorative to anyone in the market for virtually any kind of rock. CULTURE OF SAFETY starts with YOU! Great friendly crew for the most part. I called ahead and got a friendly human to answer my questions. And a friendly human guided me to what I needed in the parking lot. But the parking lot was busy hectic with a PGE repair truck blocking some of the gravel bins. Nevertheless, I had no trouble p backing in to fill my small order. Trouble started when I went to close my tailgate. The front end loader guy had jumped on the machine and priced to buy his way in between my tailgate and the pile of gravel behind it. I held my finger up to indicate "one sec" so that I could move out of his way and he wouldn't be coming so close (within an inch or less) to my truck. My window was also open on that side and he was stirring up a lot of dust! The guy looked at me, shook his head and proceeded to make several more speedy, cavalier trips past my tailgate. I felt unsafe and wanted to get out of that cloud of dust so I made a quick pay spend the opposite side of my truck, jumped in, rolled up my window and took the first chance I got to move out of that space. Unfortunately I ended up with a gash in my thigh and a rip in my shorts from the whole ordeal. In my opinion, that driver needs to be trained in how to balance understand the difference between doing his job safely and efficiently and bordering on reckless for the sake of speed. 5 BIG STARS! Oregon Decorative Rock is absolutely one of my new favorite happy places. Their selection of everything from sand, to gravel, to river rock, to flagstones, to boulders, and natural rock fountains are extraordinary! And all it's laid out in a coherent little space. Just recently I've done a complete update of our paths, our oversized flagstone patio around our in ground fire pit, and bought fine sand for my littles sandbox. Oregon Decorative Rock has so many practical, well priced and gorgeous selections, I've really enjoyed the whole experience with them, and left with what I need each time. The return policy is easy peasy. I currently have my eye on some gorgeous flagstones, to do a front patio, and a 340lb boulder I'm hoping to fit through my gate, to place as a seat around the fire pit. Aaron, one of the managers, has been an absolute delight to work with. He makes the purchasing experience at Oregon Decorative Rock such a joy... and he is happy to answer any questions, and takes his time to make sure the customer has the information they need. Pretty cool place. The price is slightly more expensive than Home Depot but they carry more varieties of rocks. Still worth it!

Be sure to comparison shop before you give your money to this place. Inventory is really quite overpriced, which I did not realize on my first two visits. Depending on how large your project is you can save a lot more looking at some places on the outskirts of towns. Exact same ledgestone that's 0.35/lb here is 0.23 another place I found elsewhere. Pavers that are 25 cents or more per lb here are 15-18 cents a pound elsewhere. Doesn't quite live up to its "affordable" promise, but the employees I interacted with during my visits were friendly enough and if you are in a crunch, it'll do. read more

I have worked with the folks at Oregon Decorative Rock to landscape a handful of yards over the years. The employees are good at what they do. Be prepared to either answer their questions about your project or leave with the questions you should be asking yourself. Even with my experience building rock walls I'm ALWAYS asked, "Well, how high are you going to build this thing? How long do you want it to be?" Followed by, "Well you'll be able to cover X amount of ground at X dollars per square foot with this material, and even though it's got a cheaper price per pound you're still better off with this other stone..." And so it goes...every time...MATH! I really enjoy their beautiful selection of rock - pavers, flagstone, wall rock - specifically their quartz. And I really enjoy working with the guys on whatever I've decided is my Spring or Summer or Winter or maybe even Fall project. A little on the expensive side. But they have a HUGE selection of rock and gravel produucts. 2x more than other local rock yards. At the suggestion of my landscaper, we went here to buy some flagstone to create a set of flagstone steps we wanted to install ourselves. The selection was 3x as good as the other place we checked out in town. And they loaded the rock into our truck themselves. Good customer service.
