Stopped by for lunch on our way home. I haven't been to Oregano's for a while. Ordered fried zucchini, Caesar salad, Lawrence pizza with pepperoni. Fried zucchini is very yummy here, probably one of my favorite fried zucchini. Caesar salad was pretty good with tons of cheese. Pizza had spinach, mushroom, garlic, but added pepperoni. Pizza was pretty good and I like thin crust. Waitress that took care of us was very nice and attentive. Over all food was pretty good and service was excellent. I would give it 3 and half but it was closer to 3 then 4 so. read more

Another positive experience at Oregano's. Seated immediately at a table in bar area during a Monday Happy Hour. Had good priced draft beer and Bellini which is quite tasty. Friendly service. Enjoyed garlic cheese bread with marinara which was free as I joined Kaboom club last month. We had a pan style pizza which was hot, flavorful and filling. Took much of it home. Man is this place eclectic! I like the mishmash vibes! Our server was very friendly and upbeat. Food was good, with decent sized portions (we all ended up with leftovers). While the food is definitely good, I don't feel like it's anything over the top amazing. It's kind of on the same par as Olive Garden, just more fun. A friend came to Surprise, and we decided to get takeout from here. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce -- it was bland. I only took two bites and threw the rest away. My friend got the "Big Rig." It was cold and didn't taste good. It didn't sit well, and my friend had stomach aches all day. I won't be coming back -- it was not a good experience. read more

Went after my son's 8th grade promotion. Food was good, service was great. I had the big beef sandwich with sweet potatoe fries. Sandwich was good, no complaints there. I was surprised with the fries as they were very spicy so much so I am wondering if they used the wrong seasoning by mistake. The waitress wasn't sure and thought they use cinnamon sugar but it was burning my lips when I would eat one. Needless to say, I did not eat that many. Overall a great place to have a large group but beware of the sweet potato fries. We did not get the book dip this time but it is a fan favorite for sure . My aunt took me out for my birthday lunch here. I was a bit worried by all the dishes having chipotle in them. Pico de gallo pasta seemed a bit wired as well as square cut pizza. I got the shrimp caprese pasta. It was very yummy but the sauce is pooled at the bottom of the dish. I think it's just melted garlic butter with salt. It's tasty but not a very cohesive sauce. I loved the tomato and the basil. The shrimp were very nice. The bathrooms were very nice too and very necessary after having about half of the dish. I apologize to whoever used the stall after me. I don't have any digestive issues so I'm not sure what happened. The inside is very retro and fun. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but it was tasty. read more

Heard good things from neighbors. The building looks very cool and is on a great location off Bell and the 303. They have a great outdoor patio area. However, first time we ordered takeout. They have a separate pickup area on the opposite side of the restaurant entrance, and designated pick up parking. Separating pick up from main restaurant entrance helps avoid crowding, but there was a steady pick up volume going in and out, which was telling, and the ladies working the pick up area were easily/friendily handling all the orders going out. We ordered a couple salads, not the big big options, but the salads were still huge and came with PLENTY of dressing on the side which is very appreciated. Also tried the cheesecake, which was really good. The place smelled amazing. Everything was well packed. Lots of ppl were walking out with pizza so we'll be trying pizza next round. We're newer to the area and hoping this is our new go-to Italian place. read more

They got new corporate owners during covid. That means a tv at the bar area now for sports and just recently a happy hour. Wife tried the happy hour margarita and liked it. We didn't order food from the happy hour.. we never really ate at this place a lot, but now that they have a tv and happy hour we will be showing up a lot more. And if a manager read this and any other people they refused to make a large reservation for a birthday party of 12 people ?? So babo restaurant gets out business for the birthday party. I have never had a bad tasting meal here and the service is always good! Julie is a sweet, attentive server with a fun personality. The staff are all friendly and welcoming when you enter and leave. Food portions are huge;enough for a sizeable leftover the next day. Highly recommend! I will say I am not a fan of the enclosed porch they did only because the atmosphere doesn't lend to a cozy feel. Went on a Saturday afternoon for a small quick bite. Ordered zucchini appetizer. Wouldn't order again. All breading, no zucchini. Also had wings. They were ok. I can't believe we have overlooked this chain. First timers arrived and were greeted by our cute hostess. We requested a table, one with 4 chairs. We were promptly seated at a table in their enclosed patio area. Amazing objects to look at all around. Old bicycles, water skis, books, signs, and so much more. Our server was Destiny. She rocked it and made our visit so much more pleasurable. They have a decent sized menu and I wasn't thinking pizza. I opted for their stuffed Rig a Tony. Superb! Hubby is watching carbs and went for wings. Kids couldn't make up their mind, so we ordered them a pan pepperoni pizza. My granddaughter took most of the cheese off her pizza, and I was intrigued. This was our last place before heading home from our visit with family and I'm really glad we got a chance to stop in. The place is adorable, there's maranara cans all over the top ledges and various classic records like an original cast of South Pacific at the front door above the hosts station, it was fun looking around to see what everything was and around! I didn't even notice a TV playing an old cowboy show/film behind me until my cousin pointed it out. Really take your time looking around. Service was great, they were pretty quick and really friendly, pluses all around and a lot of parking which is great in Arizona heat. But let's get to the important part, the food. We started with the Guaq a Tony because mom and I are Californians and you just don't pass up guaq. You just don't. Anyway, it was an interesting tale of chips and guaq though it needed some salt and lime it was a decent take and the pizza bread was tasty alone. For meals, I had the Shrimply Caprese but opted to change out the shrimp for chicken. I loved this, simple dish of tomatoes and basil and oil with well seasoned and grilled chicken. Simple for perfect, especially if you have an aversion for the type of spice seasoning that I found too many places used to kick a dish up. Plus it was pretty good reheated! Though tip for the wise, reheat in a skillet instead of a microwave. You won't get too much oil then. Lastly the cookie pizza, yes it's similar to that other one you're thinking of. Personally though? This was a pass. Nothing terribly earth shattering here. Cookie was just cookie and the vanilla was just a simple vanilla vs a vanilla bean or French which would have added another depth to the experience. I was checking out with my family after eating , and I guess one of their staff with blondish hair and she was short was saying to a customer that one of their co workers ruined their order . Which is very VERY unprofessional , I work in the restaurant industry management and their team are very disrespectful lots of entitled Young girls there , I was under the impression that the girl that "ruined the order" was training ? . We visit Oregano's twice a week for one reason: the amazing Cari. She is genuinely the most fun, friendly, and professional server we've ever met. After sitting at the bar and meeting Cari, we haven't gone back to the main seating area. Other patrons also enjoy her service. We walk in and receive the best mixed drinks within two minutes. We love the family-oriented atmosphere and the delicious menu, which includes spicy options. Hope the Grumpy Grandpa pizza is back soon. read more

Absolutely Terrible Pizza. After a 1 hour round trip drive to pickup and $25 for a 14' we basically bought a pizza box because the pizza was not edible it was so over baked. This was the Bistro pizza. It was supposed to have basil on it. For $25 we should not be able to count the 9 pieces of basil tossed on this pizza. Absolutely unacceptable to get this poor quality for that price. Don't know who was cooking the evening of the 3/23 but it sure was not the normal cook. After 3 pieces it went in the trash because it was impossible to chew. Rock hard, flavorless, and to oily. Insanely over baked. So disappointed because we were showing off to guest from out of town. Once again, service and food were above and beyond. We had a kind of private little area just inside the doorway for our party of 5 with Anna as our server. I wish I remembered the name of the manager (maybe Lisa?) that met us at the door and promised us a fantastic experience...then her team delivered on that promise. We started off with the Cheese Chomps, mac and cheese with bacon and the fried zucchini. All were very good, but the mac and cheese and the cheese chomps were grrrrrrreat (my best Tony the Tiger impression). Then, an Italian Stuffed Sandwich (huge and delicious), a Numero One-o pizza, the six pack shrimp, and a kid's pasta. Way too much food, but nobody would agree to share. It was all fantastic. It didn't hurt any that Anna came over with her bowl of Parmesan and applied it liberally wherever we wanted it. Then, for dessert, 2 of their Pizza Cookies. My favorite is the white chocolate macadamia nut one, but we also got the chocolate with peanut butter. None left after all the vultures in our group got to them. Definitely will go back and hope we get Anna, although we have always gotten fantastic service at this location. read more
