Went in on Sunday sad to discover another Arizona local has fallen victim to commercialization. Order the guacatony, Pablo, and Alfredo in the dark... unfortunately by the time the Alfredo came I had to ask for clarification if I order the right dish. Sure wasn't the quality or consistency I remember. The female manager came over, unenthusiastic it felt, to be dealing with us, offered no recourse for the lack of flavor or enjoyment with our meal and had to ask for the Alfredo to be removed as it was very unsatisfactory. Very disappointed, this was not the experience I remember. Was very excited to go, will probably never return after this experience. I miss oreganos at the old location in flagstaff. This is far from. Good luck with longevity of this brand with management like this. Upon asking our serve had only worked there shy of a year and the manager 8 months. Goes to show the company is losing capacity to keep good employees. read more

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza cookie pie, that's amore! Really, what other reason is there to come here if not for the pizza cookie. It's the size of an adults head with gooey chocolate, soft cookie dough center, crispy edges, 3 giant piles of delicious vanilla ice cream........ I've lost my train of thought..... Aside from the amazing cookies, the food is good all around. There's a reason this place is PACKED at all times. The boom dip is a personal favorite along with the thin crust pizza. The portions are huge and it is so worth the wait! read more

Been to a couple different locations, but this one is my favorite. Even when it's busy, they get us in pretty quick and the service is always fantastic. Attentive, but not annoyingly so. Not a single complaint any time I've visited. read more

Feel-good, quality Italian Food with a friendly staff. They have it all...and for the most part...it's all good! Shrimp Pasta is delicious! Salads - on point. Pizza - well liked. And, oh yea...PIZOOKIE! Relatively good prices for the quality. Give it a shot! read more

We've been here a number of times. Always enjoy the atmosphere, service and food. So, the other day we stopped in and our server was Renee. What a delight. She was on point with her knowledge of the menu and pleasant personality. The manager, Michael was also attentive to his people and everyone that walked in. He approached our table to be sure we were ok. I could see that his staff was learning from his approach to others. But, the food. Wow as ever. I'm healing from stomach surgery and Renee was understanding and her suggestions were very helpful. Once again, our dining experience was very pleasant. read more

Oreganos is my family's go to restaurant. Great atmosphere and great for small or large parties. Anything you get is good and decently priced. Hence they don't have a happy hour which it doesn't matter too much because the drinks aren't overpriced. One of my favorite drinks of theirs is the Bellini. SO good! read more

One our favorite family Italian Eatery. My favorite is their chicken parm, calamari and their mixed drinks are awesome.

First time hereGreat service! Just me and my husband we used yelp's wait list and when we got there, we were next! The food was excellent and their chocolate chip cookie with vanilla bean ice cream was the best our server Carli was great!!!! Thanks again! read more

I love oreganos. It's my favorite Italian restaurant! I love the new text to let you know about your place in line on yelp. That's genius too. Drinks are great, food is awesome. Service is always great! read more

Excellent food and service. Portions are large, we split a salad and deep dish pizza with enough to bring home left-overs. Cookie is outrageous! read more

You can always count of Oreganos for good, food and loud jazz music! We lived in Sedona for 14 years so the Fkagstaff location was the one we would visit when we were up there for some Kickbutt Garlic Bread. and some Boom Dip. Add a side of giant meatballs and both of us had a meal We noticed at this location that the giant meatballs were not so giant anymore, we had to order 2 in order to fill up for a day of shopping. Maybe that holds true for all of them - a way to not have to raise the price. Still a good deal and they are delish Their salads are still huge and the original pizza cookie is ridiculous!!!!! Service is always attentive and my puppy loves getting a fortune cookie when we get home. read more

Let me clarify, I give Oregano's 5 stars for delicious food, service and pricing. The reason for the 2 star (for this particular location) is. First off we visit this location often (once a month), whenever we have guests from out of town Oregano's is a must go. As everyone knows, Phoenix is hot in the summer months (hence, valley of the sun). I think for a great number of the population we seek out places and things to do where it's cool and comfortable. It started last summer when we noticed how uncomfortably hot it was at this location. I asked our server if there was anything they could do to cool it down and she responded with, let me see what I can do, nothing is what happened. This summer I've asked 3 times, and now the response is that the ac is working at capacity. Last night I took my 85 year old mother, my 84 year old mother in law, my wife and two grandchildren, spent over $100.00 and got sweated out of there. We couldn't get served fast enough and eat quick enough. It was an absolutely miserable experience. FYI, there is actually a study that most restauranteurs adhere to when operating their establishment, 69-72 degrees. Although I had no way of knowing the actual temperature, it felt somewhere between 80-85 (in the porch area. We have dined in the main dining are numerous times and although better not quite comfortable. The solution is not that difficult or expensive (relatively speaking). It's called a mini-split system. Frankly, when someone says to me that the system is working at capacity that just tells me that the system wasn't designed correctly and should be rectified. Bottom line is I won't be going here during the summer months unless the issue is resolved. read more

Been to this location several times! We ordered the pan pizza, which takes at least 40 minutes to cook, and instead we got this extremely thin pizza. No big deal but definitely not what we ordered. The waitress was extremely understanding and nice about it but the manager seemed indifferent about it and was asking us if we knew how they rolled the dough (spoiler alert we don't because we don't work there lol). They offered to replace it but we obviously didn't want to wait another hour. Didn't even offer to discount it so we ended up paying full pan pizza price for a pizza that definitely wasn't a pan. It was just extremely disappointing especially since we've been to that location a lot but now we're considering just passing on it because of the manager being rude. We shouldn't have to be assholes to have a mistake rectified. read more

By far the worse food and longest wait time... we've had oreganos at other locations and it's been great. This location is full of half ass workers. You can tell there's no effort put on the food or drinks. Server was great but the food was not close to their standards. Don't go to this location better off eating Burger King.. read more

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The staff is always super friendly and the menu is huge!! The atmosphere is so great. There is a open back room for larger parties and a small bar area that offers seating as well. The stuffed rigatoni and Alfredo in the dark are always hits with my family. Outstanding dining experience! Heard about this place when we first moved to Arizona about a month ago and tried to come earlier but due to the spring training being here the line was always crazy! Finally got to experience this past Wednesday and I can totally see why the long line. Our server, Lynnette was awesome! Always tending to us and making sure we didn't need anything. All the while tending to all of her other tables. Ordered the Numero One-O pizza, garlic bread and a simple house salad that was huge! Everything came out quick and very delicious. my wife and I will definitely be making Oregano's a regular spot for us. read more

I've entitled this review, An Ode to Oregano's Pizza: A Love Story. I can honestly say this is the best pizza I've ever had. It's the only time I've eaten a piece of pizza and my mouth immediately started watering for a second piece. Expensive but worth it. Real Wisconsin cheese, not stingy with the spices and an amazing selection of meat. The only negative thing I have to say about Oregano's is that it is making me gain weight like crazy. Shame on you for making such an irresistible pizza! read more

Our family went here Last night, myself, my fiance, mother in law and our two boys. Right off the back, all families that had children were placed in the "Sunroom" section of the restraunt, where the room temperature was so uncomfortable, even our waitress was drenched in sweat. We had to wait over 20 minutes for drinks, and even then 2 of them were incorrect. We ordered the Stuffed mushroom appetizer, which was served with our entree and cold in the center. Our waitress was clearly overwhelmed, and made it quite impossible to get any assistance. We waited over 20 minutes between the time she dropped the check off and her to pick up the bill book - even with us read more

Seven of us arrived at 6:15 for my daughters birthday dinner. It was her choosing. We were told it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait. At the one hour mark, we asked and were told the table they were going to say us at still has guest at and they weren't paying their bill although they had it. After another 15 minutes we asked again. And the table still was not ready. But yet in the mean time, other tables had been separated, that they could of set us at. However they placed smaller groups of 2 and 3 at the separated tables that could have accommodated our party of 7. At the hour and a half mark we asked again and finally the manager got involved. It was apparent the employees weren't capable of figuring things out. After 1 hour and 45 minutes we were finally seated. At least they provided a complementary bowl of bread sticks. Our server is very attentive so far. read more

Went here for the first time and was so impressed with the excellent customer service! The wait was kinda long for a Thursday night but the hostess let us know that it's typical for them since they are quite popular. We waited about 20 minutes before we were seated. Everyone was very friendly and our waiter was so knowledgeable when we asked for his advice on what to order. We ended up ordering "Alfredo The Dark" and the "Pablo Picasso Mexican Salad". The order came out from the kitchen and was delivered to our table in less than 20 minutes! My friend and I were very surprised and impressed with how fast it was. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! The portions here are ginormous so if you're thinking about splitting a meal... I say do it. We also decided to order the "Original Pizza Cookie" in half White Chocolate Macadamia Nut and half Salted Caramel. Both flavors were good but I preferred the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut side more. I will definitely be back! read more

Great experience! Expected to be more packed for a Sunday evening (8:00 pm) but only had 15 min wait at the bar. Fast service & friendly staff. Will be back soon!! read more

Although the food is good, the service for take out is awful. 3 times now I have called and been left on hold for 20+ minutes to only be hung up on and then I have to call and start all over. The young kids answering the phones have no clue what customer service is. While waiting on hold I was able to place an online order for a 7pm pickup time and then when they finally answered they told me it wouldn't be ready till 730. Which at the time it was 545. I don't understand that. To add the waitlist online said 2 minutes... definitely over coming here. Now I am standing here waiting still and 5 other customers have come in asking for their orders that weren't suppose to be ready till 730 and they were done and have already left. I do not understand this and will not be coming back for awhile. read more

I am so sad, I love Oregano's but they have changed their menu and recipes recently (chicken lasagna is gone, ranch dressing has changed...). I only ever ordered the zany ziti or the Alfredo the dark UNTIL one day on a whim I ordered a sandwich, it came with coleslaw (I normally HATE coleslaw but I will try everything once before deciding) this coleslaw. was. amazing. not sweet, not soggy, perfect. For the last 2 years I have only order sandwiches just so I could have the coleslaw, until now :-( they changed the recipe. I almost cried (I know ridiculous), I'm so disappointed. I still gave 3 stars because our service was great as always but I will have to seriously be craving a Pizzookie to go back. read more

Very disappointed with our meal today. The appetizer was calamari and was drenched with garlic and oil. When the shrimp scampi came out, one of the shrimps was not cooked through and again way too much garlic. When manager came over to check on us , he had no level of customer skills. They got the kids meal wrong and then charged twice for it. They also forgot the cheese bread. We go here often and have never had a poor experience like today. Vampires are not coming anywhere near us today! read more

I've got to give Oregano's credit, the food was significantly better than I was expecting. I've long avoided this restaurant as given it's popularity, it is always slammed with customers. I figured that while the food was probably good, it wasn't THAT good. We did arrive early (around 4:00 PM) to get our name in the hat and ended up enjoying a two hour wait. In fairness to Oregano's, we were a party of 13 and they couldn't seat us until at least half the group had arrived. No one objected to that and in this instance, I didn't mind the wait. The outside staff was courteous and it was nice to get full drink service while we were out there. Their beers on tap aren't outstanding, though they do have some microbrew stuff as well as the typical range of garbage beers and slightly less garbage beers so at least the liquor was drinkable. I couldn't get a Bloody Mary though because they were "out of Bloody Mary Mix" (note to self, never order a Bloody Mary at Oregano's). The free pizza samples were quite nice as well. From the time we finally did get seated, to getting our food, to paying our bill, was two and half hours so in all our large group ended up spending around 4 1/2 hours at the restaurant with long waits to be seated and a long wait between ordering our food and getting our food. Was it worth it? Ahh, the million dollar question. As I said in the beginning of the review, I was overall pretty surprised by the quality of the food. It was quite delicious. I ordered an alfredo dish with shredded chicken and it was very good. The sauce had a strong flavor without being overwhelming and Oregano's use of southwest peppers wins a gold star from me. They get a little carried away with the herbs (to much Oregano? yes!) which gives some of the food a gritty aftertaste but overall it was excellent. I also decided to order a full-size pizza to take home with me. After waiting four hours, I figured it wasn't going to be anytime soon that I would venture these crowds again. The pizza, a southwestern creation with carne asade and more poblanos was also quite good. I love thin crust pizza so for me they have a real winner here with their basic design. Again the use of herbs was somewhat overpowering but the taste of the pizza was fairly rock solid. The larger pizzas are only $1-$2 more expensive than the small pizzas (though the pizzas themselves are fairly expensive overall) so after going with an 18'' I ended up with enough food to get me through the next several days. I was quite happy about that. Overall the experience was very positive but it was mainly made so by having a great group of friends to hang with. Going in we knew the wait was going to be long (especially because of the size of our party) so we took it in stride and tried to enjoy the atmosphere. The food was definitely good and the service was decent but the food was not good enough that I would be willing to brave the wait times on a regular basis. I'm fairly sure Oregano's will go on the list of (very) infrequent special occasions. I strongly recommend you avoid the restaraunt if you are looking for something small or intimate. Part of the issue with this location is that they built in an old fast food joint (long-time residents of the area will recognize it as the building that used to house a Fazolli's) and the building simply isn't large enough for the crowds the food draws. That's a shame because the restaurant easily draws enough business to support a larger building and larger staff. Oregano's, I love you but either open more West Side locations or relocate to a larger building, until then you won't be seeing me regularly. Though, with the business they draw, they won't be missing my money either. Ahh well, at least the food is delicious. read more

Ordered the thin Chicago tavern style pizza, house special. I think they call it numero 1. I was not disappointed. It was not as crisp as I like, but I would not call it soggy either. Toppings are generous, and properly sauced and cheesed for a thin style pizza. They do use some corn meal on the bottom, which I don't ever recall having growing up in Chicago, so a minus star there. The thin pizza is as advertised though, and it is paper thin. Anybody craving thin pizza can't go wrong here. No TVs in this place to catch the game either. So bring company to stay entertained. read more

So good we ate there twice in a week. Definitely a go to spot when you are in AZ. Pizzas and salad are plentiful.

I personally enjoyed the food. The service was good. But I asked for ranch several times; each time my waiter said he would bring it. He never did I went my whole meal without ranch. I personally am disappointed because they seem like they would have good ranch. I never got to experience the whole oreganos experience because of my misplaced ranch. So that's my review. read more
