I arrived a few minutes prior to my 10am appointment and was seated in what I would call a calm or wellness room. I was offered a cup of tea and waited for my massage therapist. The spa is a bit outdated but the decorations helped from an aesthetic point of view. Gaya was my massage therapist. She was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the physiology of the body. She also made sure to remind me that "I am a princess" :-) lol....Thanks Gaya!!! After my massage I was offered a glass of wine and given more time to relax in the calm area. The only negative was there was only one elevator working due to renovations but otherwise a great experience.

Preparing for my daughters baby shower and my father's funeral, all within 7 days,. I had my hair done on the 18th but it still showed an appointment for the 19th. They saw me get my hair done. I showed them family photos from when I had my hair done with "T" previously. I was sure the second appointment didn't exist. Today I find out I was charged $220 for a No Show fee. There is a problem with the app and because I made a mistake booking two appointments two days in a row for a weave, I had to pay $235 + $220 =$455.00. Money which I didn't have and it put my account in the negative. "T" is not giving that money back and I think it's shameful. I explained to her the situation and gave a copy showing there was only one appointment in the StyleSeat App but it didn't matter. I will not return for services and "T" could care less that she and the shop lost a customer I've been a customer for years and it matters Not. Toshaunna took my money for services she did not provide. I'm already stressed by the death of my father and now I feel robbed on top of that.

When I walked in Sylvia the owner immediately spotted what the previous salon had done to my hair. Which was a whole lot of nothing but a horrendous disconnection that almost looked like I was wearing bad extensions. My hair was dirty but told I just wanted a quick cut no wash no styling. Something I can either wear straight (blowout) or curly which is my natural texture. She wet my hair and detangled it, I showed her some reference pictures and she immediately got to work. Explaining step by step what she was doing which I thoroughly enjoyed since I was nervous from my previous experience at a different salon (they're lucky I'm not mentioning the name) the haircut took roughly 20 minutes. Almost immediately I could see and feel the difference. My hair started to dry and I could tell it was going to look absolutely fabulous no matter how I decided to wear it. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I went home showered and styled like I normally do and I was just thrilled with the results. I highly recommend Sylvia. The salon is an absolute gem. On top of that the pricing was way better than I anticipated. Highly recommend!!!! I've posted a picture of my haircut, pricing, and my reference!
