I made my appointment with the normal receptionist who is always multitasking. I went in for my appointment they sat me down with another lady to dissolve my nails. after my nails were off she came over and said "you don't have a appointment with anyone" I said "how do I not have a appointment with anyone" she said I have a appointment just not with anyone ??? wtf. how does that work ? maybe because she isnt paying attention. so i say is there anyone else I can get my nails done with ? no. okkk cool so she says I have to pay to get my nails dissolved. it isn't the lady who dissolved my nails problem. I would like to start this review off by saying this is an honest review. I am not bashing orchid Nails. This is my review baised on my personal experience. I went in and had acrylic put on my toes. After, when I got into the light up front I noticed areas where the acrylic was absent. I asked if he could fix it and he did something but there were still plenty of issues. I also got a polish change on my fingers. My bill was $110 which I happily paid and tipped $35 in cash as well. When I got home, I took a closer look and realized what a train-wreck my toes were. 2 days later I finally had a chance to go back in. When I got there I politely and quietly asked if anyone had time to fix my toes I had done 2 days prior. He looked at me and said "you can't live with it...." Then I waited 40 minutes for someone else to correct the work. While waiting I could hear him complaining to his current Client about me. While I had all that time to sit and wait both visits I have had here I realized how dusty, unorganized, and unclean this place was. I hope this review is taken as a reality check. This place used to be extremely popular and full of staff. Today they had poor air conditioning and few staff working. Jen took excellent care of me. I felt heard and trusted her right off the bat, even after my experience with whom I believe to be the owner. When I left, I wished everyone a good day and he ignored me. I tried to give this place chances but let me tell you do not waste your time. The owner is horribly rude especially if your not one of her regulars. I was told immediately to wait and after 45 minutes of waiting i asked how much longer where she proceeded to finally mention the appointments ahead of me so I would have to wait another 3 hours. Nobody has time for that especially for the mid nails. They cut your cuticles so if you like blood i suggest this place! Not too clean either... When I come in I normally have Ken as a nail tech and absolutely love my nails after and never have had any problems. However I went in last Wednesday and got a lady nail tech who did my nails beautifully but when I got home I had wet gel polish coming out from under the top coat. They were short staffed so I didn't bother going back. I had a UV light at home that I finished curing them with. Now only a week later two of my nails have fallen off and the paint on the nails that weren't fully dried are chipping. (I got a gel acrylic full set) I'm my opinion the $50 I paid wasn't worth the nails I got. read more

Attempted to give this place multiple chances since moving to the area, but they continue to disappoint. I waited 1.5 hrs for service and decided to walk out due to the owner's lies in an attempt make me stay, plus the place needed a good cleaning and smelled like a locker room. Also, I notice that they bend over backwards for certain clientele and the workers are biased based on race. I guess I don't spend enough of my hard earned money at this business for them to care. They will never get another penny out of me, just to turnaround and talk about customers as they walk out the door. Finally, take that fake LV crap off the walls. Melinda at orchid is great ! But her father the business own is horrible at running a business and very unprofessional. I made an appt with Melinda on Thursday for Friday at 4pm . My child was running a high fever all morning, so at noon Friday I called to reschedule and the owner replied when I asked if she has an opening for next Friday morning "we made this appt for you and you canceled don't call to make appt" he didn't ask why I need to reschedule, this was my first time EVER scheduling an appt with them and when I told him he was very unprofessional he told me good go find another nail salon good day and hung up on me . I do enjoy coming here, most nail specialists are great and extremely talented but just like every salon there's a select one or two that are encountered and end up having a bad experience hopefully only once.. For me, this last time (yesterday) October 4th, I left the nail salon happy until I later realized that the maroon matte became wrinkled .. I do not know how I am suppose to recommend a salon whenever my nail polish is wrinkled and bumpy.. mind you the cost that I paid including the tip.. so I am going to go back in there today and have them fix them and post the resulting image. Watch how much they charge you... look at their little menu before getting your nails done to verify the price of what you want. I didn't and they overcharged me $10. It was $35 for a FILL when it was supposed to be $25. That might be why they don't have their prices listed for everyone to see as they SHOULD... Hope this helps. read more

If I could give Orchid zero stars I would. I was a regular here for so long. The last time I was there I had a man do my nails (older slightly overweight). He was doing a great job until he found out about my wife and learned I was gay. He started grilling me asking WHY I was gay and went as far as to ask how we have sex if my wife has no penis. It was the most inappropriate thing that has honestly happened to me. I finally chose to call him out on his behavior and he refused to finish my nails (I had tips on my left hand only my right hand was untouched). ORCHID TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY FOR MY FULL SET AND SAID THATS JUST THEIR EMPLOYEES BELIEFS AND THEY CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Other than that Orchid is overpriced for what they provide. And even if they had the best prices in the world who would want to give money to a homophobic business. I had prepaid for upcoming appt started feeling sick a week before contacted her by text no reply called her and she said she had nothing earlier so I said ok , then the closer I get to my appt I developed pneumonia and was rushed to hospital this happened on the day of my appt , while at the hospital I get a text from her my daughter replies posing as me because I could not talk and said I'm in the hospital with pneumonia all she responded with was with that I didn't call so I loose my money , um hello breathing was my only concern not a stupid nail appt ! I haven't been here in months but today's service (deluxe pedi and wax) was great. I came in around 230 and it was busy so I had to wait an hour and a half. I expected the long wait since it's Saturday afternoon and I didn't have an appointment. Tiffany took her time with me so it was well worth the wait. (Tyrone did also the last time I stopped in.) The downside is on top of my initial wait, I waited 15 min for Melinda to do a design after my pedi was done. Come in earlier in the week if you don't like long waits. However, Melinda is in Fridays and Saturdays only. Pedicures have lasted over a month without chipping. read more

Every time I come in there I wait at least 45 minutes just for my eyebrows which I normally sit patiently for. However, I'm tired of the lack of customer service and the fact that I'm stuck sitting there EVERY TIME, yet there seems to be NO TIME ISSUE when it comes to getting customer in the chairs right away when they their want nails or toes done as soon as they walk in. Normally I would think they had appointments but these were literally WALK INS. Last time I checked it takes longer to do a full set or pedicure rather than eyebrows, but what do I know right? I even asked to make an appointment for my eyebrows for the next day so it would be easier; he told me to wait because they were almost done doing nails. At this point I had already waited for at least 30 minutes, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and proceed to wait another 20. As I waited he got 2-3 more people in the chair and set up.
