As my car motor cooled down I looked at mechanic shops with great ratings and found Primo Auto Care. Fortunately for me they are open on Saturday. I called them and they told me they would take a look if I could come over to their shop. I put all the water in my car into the radiator and drove to their shop. From the moment I walked through their doors, it was evident that this establishment takes customer service and automotive expertise to a whole new level. First and foremost, the staff at Primo Auto Care deserves immense praise for their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine concern for my vehicle's well-being. The moment I explained the issues they started to inspect my vehicle to understand the situation. Their expertise and attention to detail immediately put me at ease, knowing that my vehicle was in capable hands. A "T" connector had broken and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately for me this was a special-order part that was unavailable in the Portland area, The Primo team called over 15 parts suppliers including 3 dealerships. The earliest the part would be in would be the following Wednesday. They gave me the option to use a nonstandard part that would get me back to Seattle but I would need to get the manufacturers part when I got home. The team at Primo Auto Care not only fixed the problems with my car but went above and beyond in thoroughly inspecting it to identify any potential issues. They resolved the issue and I greatly appreciated their transparency and the fact that there were no hidden surprises when it came to the final bill. The quality of work done at Primo Auto Care is outstanding. When I returned to Seattle I took my car the dealership to have the factory part installed. The mechanic and the Mercedes Benz dealership commented on the great quality of work done in the temporary fix. Another aspect that deserves mention is the cleanliness of their shop. The waiting area was comfortable, tidy, and well-maintained. It was evident that Primo Auto Care takes great pride in maintaining a clean and professional workspace, which only further reassured me of their commitment to excellence. Lastly, the pricing at Primo Auto Care was fair and competitive, especially considering the top-notch service they provided. They value their customers by offering honest and reasonable rates without compromising on the quality of their workmanship. My experience with Primo Auto Care was truly exceptional. Repair 2 p/u date June 4th - failed at 25 miles almost immediately June 9th went into the shop One Last Chance and I Demanded Toyota OEM parts since I learned I paid too much for none OEM parts and they were trying to pressurize the pinion gear themselves, the reason for the immediate failures. Also, stated if this replacement failed, I'd expect all my money back. Repair 3 date July 9th - my brakes lost pressure in early Sunday morning of July 12th on my way to San Diego, Ca. failed in Bakersfield, California at about 8:30 am after driving all night. Paid $395.91 for a 24-hour emergency mechanic to bleed my brakes. Brake Failure Cause: bubbles / air in the rear brake line. Why didn't it fail sooner - low traffic cool night driving, used cruise and to keep myself alert slowing through curves by shutting off cruise and accelerated then restarted cruise while driving through the Oregon and California mountains. What happens when bubbles / air gets in the brake lines: brake fluid heats up and the air expands causing no pressure to your brakes and the pedal goes to the floor.

When I was attempting to set a time to pick up the tires, they decided to increase the price of the tires by $200. They also claim to be a tire dealer, so I asked how much a brand new set of the tires would be if I bought them as a new tires (where I would get the tire maker warranty and road hazard) and they were not able to answer that question. I have dealt with a lot of tire shops and the person I spoke with on the phone seemed to be the most under-trained tire shop employee that I have ever spoken with. Avoid this shop - they are shady.
