I don't drink much, so I'd rather go to a shelter to see animals XD! The front lady was nice and she didn't push us to adopt anything. There was an obese cat that's been separated from the other cats because he's on a special diet. He was friendly. I then went in two other rooms, each with about 7 cats. The cats there were really friendly, but some are shy. I spent like 20 minutes there patting the cats.. lol. The cats there have a nice outside patio area where they can walk around as well. The adoption fee is also lower than most places if I remember correctly. My friend donated some $$ to thank them for taking good care of the cats. I probably won't come back to this island again since there's not much to do, but if I go there again I'd stop by this place and pat the cats once more~

After quite a bit of poking and prodding, not to mention a full panel of tests, it was determined that my cat was likely just hot. It was a pretty expensive diagnosis, but I was relieved it wasn't something worse. The doctors and staff here are always so loving and kind. And while their prices are definitely premium (aren't all vets?) I do appreciate they have prescription meds on hand when I need them for my pets, and offer discounts if you offer full diagnostic panels. I am so happy to have found them!

Dr. Milan took the time to answer every single one of my questions, explain the details thoroughly, and develop a plan that prioritized my dog's success while also being mindful of financial constraints. He focused on the essential tests that made the surgery possible for me to afford, and it was always clear that his top priority was my pet's well-being and quality of life. He is exceptional at what he does, and I will always be grateful I found him. The techs were also fantastic; walking me through the pre- and post-op process with care and professionalism. That said, the business side of this hospital left a very different impression. The financial policies feel rigid, profit-driven, and disconnected from the compassion their medical staff provides. My dog's gallbladder surgery was around $10k and they required full upfront payment before even beginning check-in. This drastically delayed check and check out unnecessarily. They do not offer direct pay options with insurance providers and insisted this was somehow a "benefit" to me. In reality, requiring $10k cash or card upfront- and even refusing checks- puts families in heartbreaking positions during emergencies. The check-in process was stressful and impersonal. My dog wasn't even taken back until the payment fully cleared, which took about 30 minutes while I worked with my bank to lift a daily card limit. During checkout, I was immediately presented with a card machine for an additional $850 balance before they would even start preparing my dog for release. There was no warm greeting, no conversation about how my dog did- just a transaction. It made me feel like seeing my dog again was contingent on payment, which overshadowed the relief I felt knowing the surgery was successful. While the front desk is urgent and quick to demand the money- they cannot answer a single billing question from your receipt. In summary: The medical staff here, especially Dr. Milan, are outstanding and truly care about pets and their families. Unfortunately, the administrative and financial side of the clinic delivers a cold, business-first experience that undermines the incredible work being done in the operating room. If Dr. Milan were to practice elsewhere, I would follow him without hesitation. Huge tip: if you are traveling from out of town or just want an additional night right next to their 24/7 urgent care the hotel has a contract with them that provides a great discount. It was critical to find a kennel that was a good fit for him. We had been using another boarding facility for the past ten years and had been pretty happy with them for most of that time. Due to a detour, I happened to drive by FurrWoods and saw their sign. So, we scheduled a time to take a tour. Oscar was reactive to the owner and staff and was barking and lunging at them. They knew exactly how to greet him and put him at ease. Within minutes, he was comfortable and leaning in for ear scratches. We took Oscar out to the play yards and put him in one by himself. He immediately went to the fence and happily greeted the other pups in the adjacent yard. The play yards here are repurposed astroturf from a football field, and the surface is immaculate. The previous boarding facility has gravel yards and our previous dog would sometimes eat rocks there or be dirty from digging. There are 3 or 4 different yards so they can group dogs by size or demeanor or age to ensure everyone has a positive playtime. The kennels are also very clean! There are only 28 kennels so it is much more peaceful than at a larger facility. They provide trampoline beds and even have slow feeders if you need them, which Oscar does. They have an online reservation system which helps me keep track of my bookings. You can also sign your dog up for an activity such as individual fetch time or a walk in the woods. We have boarded Oscar at FurrWoods several times over the past few months - sometimes just overnight and for as long as two weeks. He LOVES it there!! When we arrive, he pulls me to the door and wants to go straight out to play! This speaks volumes, as Oscar normally has separation anxiety!! When I pick him up, he is clean, happy, and exhausted. The place has a great vibe and you can tell everyone there cares about the cats that are visiting. You can bring your own food if you prefer to. I would definitely feel comfortable leaving her here again and would recommend Cat Nap Inn to friends and family. I had previously boarded at a veterinary clinic, and this was much less stressful for both me and the cat.
