I took my cat to Cat Nap Inn for a three night stay in April. The wonderful people there took excellent care of her. She was healthy and happy when I returned to pick her up. They had a guest report card for her that detailed her play, where she spent most of her time, and how much she ate. It was very clean and quiet. The place has a great vibe and you can tell everyone there cares about the cats that are visiting. You can bring your own food if you prefer to. I would definitely feel comfortable leaving her here again and would recommend Cat Nap Inn to friends and family. The Cat Nap Inn in Alger Washington (between Bellingham and Mt. Vernon) is amazing. Every time we travel we board our cat (Rex) there and he loves it! Rex has a "room with a view" where he can relax watching birds come and go outside his window. The owner, Kolleen Fox and her staff treat each cat as if it were their own pet. Just booked my cat into cat nap inn. Very clean, very professional. The owner greeted me the door and then showed me where skitz would be living for the next few weeks. She then went over all the paper work. The care she took to make sure skitz was comfortable was above any other kennel I have used. Will high recommend using cat nap inn Just pick Skitz up. Biggest regret is Yelp only goes to five. 10/5 easily. Amazing the difference in his demeanor over other kennels. Skitz is a 20+ lb cat with no love for anyone or change. He hates brushing. He hates being handled by strangers and sometimes long time household guest. Colleen simple opened his personal area and he jumped down and allowed her to brush him. I was floored. Most of the time I takes years for him to warm up people living in the home. Colleen then went over the types of brushes he responds to the best/ ones not so much. For his stay I got the bird feeder, extra salmon/shrimp treats x3 times a week, as well as the heated bed as Skitz is 10+. Colleen then went over what he liked and didn't like. She said she gave him his extra treats and for some reason he didn't seem to want the salmon or shrimp so she only charged me for x2 as he didn't seem to like it (odd for most cats not Skitz). She said he loved the feeder. Basically cat nap inn is expensive. But, if you love your cat it's beyond worth it. Just on Skitz reaction Colleen went above just basic board/feed/ turn over next person. She went out of her way to see what Skitz needed out of his stay. She didn't just say everything went well and charge me for 10 treats he didn't even want. Would highly recommended cat nap inn. read more

They are fantastic. We first boarded our two cats for a two week period in 2006 when we didn't have a reliable pet/house sitter. They were happy and calm and in great health etc when we got home. It was a relief to know they were in good hands. We just lost one of the two at age 19 and while we do have a wonderful sitter now the remaining 16 year old was and is missing him terribly. I decided that the extra attention at Cat Nap Inn would be good for her. They were very thorough due to her age and three medications she is on. They required a letter from our veterinarian and detailed instructions from us as well. I can't stress enough how professional they are. WONDERFUL facility! Kolleen and Kristen are SO organized, it's great. My big guy stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. It was our first time using Cat Nap Inn and it was great. Kolleen showed me the entire facility and even included letting me know of their escape route in case of an emergency, which I really appreciated. I was impressed at how thorough she was in checking my cat for fleas, etc. It's great that she actually cares about all of the cats that will be in contact, and her staff. My cats stayed at the Catnap Inn for 18 days while I had a last minute trip to Greece. Anyone who knows me knows that my cats are my babies and nothing less than the best would do. The Catnap Inn was all that I could hope for and more - beautifully designed, immaculately maintained, with a level of care that was top-notch. My cats stayed in the Grand Suite - a fantastic space with three large windows and multiple levels. I recommend it highly. This is a GENUINE review (YELPS software for flagging reviews is not so good) and I am not a friend of the owner. While I no longer live in the Sedro-Woolly area, the standards set by the Cat Nap Inn are the benchmark I use when evaluating other boarding facilities. read more

This was our shy 13 year old cat's first boarding experience. The facility is extremely clean and organized and the staff were beyond helpful. Due to an impending snow storm, we picked up our cat a day early, outside of normal pick-up times. The owner went out of her way to accommodate and make sure our cat was ready to go as soon as we arrived. The cat who is usually nervous and angry when left home alone appeared calm and relaxed. She was clearly brushed and received plenty of daily attention. Her cubicle had various platforms and a mock fish tank to hold her interest. The cost was reasonable considering the high level of care and piece of mind. We plan on using Catnap Inn for all future vacation needs. read more

AMAZING PLACE! It is cleaner than most restaurants. The care and professionalism Kolleen and her staff provided for my three kitties was no less then absolutely terrific. It started with the very detailed check in. Kolleen personally looked over each of my cats, checked for fleas etc. and each were taken to their suit one at a time. She takes a very detailed history of each cat and you are allowed to bring your own food (more work for the staff, but better for the cat). As a result, my cats were safe and relaxed and came home after our remodeling much as if they had been to the spa. I love that they offer all kinds of customizable ways your cat can stay with them. They can even "join" suits so if you have multiple cats they can stay together in comfort. This was our first time at Cat Nap Inn, but will not be our last. Kolleen and her crew are fabulous! Our cats are well cared for and pampered at each visit. We have 2 large cats, one of whom is a diabetic and requires 2 shots daily, and we are never concerned when we drop them off. We just moved into the Sedro Woolley area in May and had a 7 day vacation coming up in July. Our boy, Walter (a rescue kitty who's very VERY shy) needed a special place to be. After finding Kolleen's Cat Nap Inn online, we made a visit for a tour. What a wonderful set up! Jillian was our tour guide and you couldn't have met a more friendly, informative and gracious person. From the website, which is very well designed and has lots of details, to our first visit, we felt Walter would be in good hands. Boy, were we right! He behaved well and came out of his little shell for the staff. Once we got home he was even more opened up to us than before. And that's saying a lot for a cat who had a really rough patch in his life that made him so shy. We'll be sending him back to Cat Nap Inn in the fall for what I can now call a restful and pampered vacation of his own! And, the prices were very fair for the services provided. read more
