School material is ok. You can absolutely learn a lot here if you apply yourself. That does not…read morechange the fact that the school holds the students hostage and makes constant contradictory statements regarding their mission. The school states they are trying to mimic the industry however do nothing to curb blatant cheating and dishonest behavior from students, fail to remove students that are obviously under the influence of drugs, and require you to stay in the class for hours even though course work is completed. Instructors are solid but are forced to implement highly restrictive policy to enable students that have no business being in a shop to pass classes. Making honest remarks on course surveys will negatively impact instructors to the point they will give the class the final exam answers to get all 5-star reviews.

Yet has completely dropped the ball on multiple occasions. After receiving all of my information , being a dependent myself whose beneficiary was considered KIA/Disabled after august first twenty twenty three they repeatedly tried to tell me due to my age i am ineligible to receive chapter thirty five benefits. However , if your beneficiary is considered disabled or killed in action after august first twenty twenty three , there is no age out for the benefits. Meaning in theory you can still use it when you're sixty years old. The housing by far is one of the worst things things I have ever experienced in a scholastic environment. Collegiate Housing first and foremost prioritizes profit rather than the student's well being. They are charging $900 a person for a dorm shared with 4 people, you dont even have a private bedroom. Ontop of the many hidden fees and stipulations that they do not tell you about nor do they reach out with you with a representative. Emails tend to be sparse lacking in need to know information. At the time of writing this this would be my first time in florida as well as the orlando area as well as my first time attending this campus. I was very exited to travel and learn a trade ive always been interested in however. My optimism was quickly crushed by the lack of experience UTIs VA assistance department. So much so that if you told me none of their personnel were veterans I would believe you. Even if I were to be accepted and have the opportunity to train and learn about a trade I am very much interested in i would never recommend this institute two friends, family or even acquaintances due to how needlessly stressful, they make the application process for veterans/dependent benefits.

This school clearly needs a new and honest review, RUN they just want to trick as many people as…read morethey can into signing up (coming from a graduate as of this year going for my AS in the same field at the Sanford campus only cause I already finished at the Orlando campus) , The whole entire school is a joke from the admin too the trades they were built on , Hvac is the biggest program and is treated like you don't exist they put you in separate building from the main one that's run down the tools they give you are cheap as hell compared to the other trades and will break on first use (seen it happen more then I could count) , 5out of my 10 months there were spent trying to teach myself because they just higher any instructor they can , Jose Rivera being one of them I got reenrolled in his class 3 months straight the teacher barely spoke English admitted several times he did not know much and was thankful for Dan and Hightower because they were helping him learn along the way . I write this review not for the sole purpose of bashing but to genuinely warn anyone who wanting to go to a school that will look out for you like they say they will. I seen feuds happen between teachers and admin about catering to basic needs to the students , I've seen teachers get fired and steal out the same lab (that we barely had things in already) Keep in mind I completed my program even though they tried to screw me in my last month trying to make me fail the last class due to attendance (that I had a 91% in at the end of the class) all because they knowingly force everyone too do a tedious career prep class that should be offered day 1 yet it's the #1 class that over 80%!! Of students end up not finishing because it's the most tedious time consuming stuff that won't apply to your field or anything you've done your whole time enrolled it's just a class they throw in there so the school can get "extra money" even though everyone's aware of it's uselessness from the mouth of their financial aid director. A big shout out to Dan Bacarri and Gerald Hightower if it weren't for them that school wouldn't be worth a damn. Stefani the education director is the most useless person ever she's nothing but a face for show any real issues you have she will never have a solution too an always trying to send you too someone else to fix the issue. All in all STAY FAR AWAY FROM STC unless you're keen on wasting your time and money. I just hope this review saves a poor soul for signing them selves up for this debt hole of a school.

I would have to do a remote class. BUT WAIT we'll give you a 150 dollar test voucher (whatever that is) for your troubles. SOOOO here I am with down payments for a hotel, tattoo, etc that I had planned that I have to eat. They couldn't have given less of a crap about me as a customer. 2300 dollars they didn't care about. UPDATE It's been 3 weeks now..... Still no refund and no one will answer. I'm starting to think this company is a scam? I wanted to thank the people at Nicomp for reporting me to my boss for my aggressive tone I had. I got dinged on my evaluation for that. I have moved on to greener pastures since then so I thought I'd add this. Not sure how it was your place to report me??? This was between your business and me. You're a terrible company. I hope you go out of business. Update 3: I keep coming back to this review and it makes me furious years later. That's HOW BAD of a company this is. STAY AWAY

They don't even deserve the one star…read more We first registered online for a training course for two developers, only to be told two days later that a mistake had been made by the "website" and that the training class was really full. We would have to train at some other time. We agreed to training date of two weeks later. Two weeks later, after trouble with the original video conference the morning of the class, we managed to connect via a second conferencing solution, only to discover that the class was for Revison R2 of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, and not the latest version R3 which our company is using. We canceled our participation and attempted to reschedule again for the week of 6/27 - 7/1 for the correct class, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3. We heard nothing from NiComp until we called them Thursday morning 6/23, at which point we were told that the person handling our "case" left the company and no one picked up our contact. They rescheduled the class again to 7/5, forcing me to change vacation plans to accommodate their poor business practices. We were also promised a phone call by end of day or no later than the next morning Friday, 6/24 to confirm our registrations since we had so much trouble. On Friday 6/24 midday we called them again, only to be told the person who had promised us a call by Friday morning the day before, had a sudden death in the family and had to catch a flight. By the end of day Friday, the new person did manage to confirm us for Monday 7/5. On Monday 7/5 we started at 08:00 AM trying to connect to the Microsoft AX Training Portal, but we had not received our credentials for login. A phone call to NiComp had them insisting that our credentials had been set up, but insisting that apparently we had not been sent our credentials. After two and one-half hours attempting to get things straightened out, and working with the live Microsoft Certified Instructor (to whom no blame attaches), I called it off. We were unable to connect to the Microsoft Portion of the Training which had all the labs and training environment. We have asked for a full refund of our $6000 for two people.
