Terrible school, with some teachers that don't put much effort at all into their teachings. I'm…read moreonly giving two stars because there have been a few select teachers that have genuinely cared, and that I learned ALOT from and made class fun, exciting and engaging. I'm looking at Jeff Herman, Mr. Smiley (especially), David poppo, and Rawlie Kisoon. Thank you for caring about my education. The employment department is also AMAZING and I love how much effort the man behind it put into finding us kids a job. Really helped me find a job and I can't thank him enough. I can't say the same for some of my other classes, however.. I took a power and performance 1 class. Wow, that sounds exciting! You wanna know what I did? Measure engine internals and learned how to degree a camshaft. That's it. Basically the same shit I did intro to engines except the degreeing part. I was able to leave 2 hours early EVERY day. On top of that... 25 hours of IOLs?? Not including videos? You'd think a class like this would be fun, but nope. Mostly online bullshit. If you're an aspiring mechanic, then do NOT waste your time... and 35k~ in tuition. I'm quitting halfway through and cutting my losses early, thank god. After being here for six months I can attest to the fact that with the INSANE amount of money this school charges you, it is not worth it. "Three" hour classes with a heinous amount of online homework that makes me want to quit even more. (I say "three" because you usually spend 1-2 hours doing a "lab" that's just instructions on how to disassemble something, and even worse, sometimes you're just copying and pasting something from all data! How is that experience???) I can understand some of the online work as a mechanic you need to understand how some of this stuff works. But the amount was just too much. WAY too much online homework, and less in hands training and less teaching by instructors. You'll be spending more time behind a computer and less time behind an engine or transmission. This makes ZERO sense for a trade job like this. You think housing is covered with this insane tuition cost? NOPE! Now, you're forced to work a job while being at school and hopefully you can land a job with a mechanic shops that's willing to take you with zero experience. Otherwise you're fucked. I'm very blessed to have a father that's willing to pay for my tuition and he'll be sad to hear that I'm quitting, but also happy to have me home. I'll be continuing my education somewhere else with a much more modest tuition and hopefully a place that won't give me 20+ hours of online homework each class. Again, if you're looking for a mechanic school, please DO NOT come here. Huge waste of money and too much online work.

An institute that frequently advertises how capable it is working with veterans to secure…read moreeducational benefits , as well as veteran dependents. Yet has completely dropped the ball on multiple occasions. After receiving all of my information , being a dependent myself whose beneficiary was considered KIA/Disabled after august first twenty twenty three they repeatedly tried to tell me due to my age i am ineligible to receive chapter thirty five benefits. However , if your beneficiary is considered disabled or killed in action after august first twenty twenty three , there is no age out for the benefits. Meaning in theory you can still use it when you're sixty years old. The housing by far is one of the worst things things I have ever experienced in a scholastic environment. Collegiate Housing first and foremost prioritizes profit rather than the student's well being. They are charging $900 a person for a dorm shared with 4 people, you dont even have a private bedroom. Ontop of the many hidden fees and stipulations that they do not tell you about nor do they reach out with you with a representative. Emails tend to be sparse lacking in need to know information. At the time of writing this this would be my first time in florida as well as the orlando area as well as my first time attending this campus. I was very exited to travel and learn a trade ive always been interested in however. My optimism was quickly crushed by the lack of experience UTIs VA assistance department. So much so that if you told me none of their personnel were veterans I would believe you. Even if I were to be accepted and have the opportunity to train and learn about a trade I am very much interested in i would never recommend this institute two friends, family or even acquaintances due to how needlessly stressful, they make the application process for veterans/dependent benefits.

Great Institution to attend! The staff and instructors are helpful and care about the students…read moresuccess in their programs.

This school clearly needs a new and honest review, RUN they just want to trick as many people as…read morethey can into signing up (coming from a graduate as of this year going for my AS in the same field at the Sanford campus only cause I already finished at the Orlando campus) , The whole entire school is a joke from the admin too the trades they were built on , Hvac is the biggest program and is treated like you don't exist they put you in separate building from the main one that's run down the tools they give you are cheap as hell compared to the other trades and will break on first use (seen it happen more then I could count) , 5out of my 10 months there were spent trying to teach myself because they just higher any instructor they can , Jose Rivera being one of them I got reenrolled in his class 3 months straight the teacher barely spoke English admitted several times he did not know much and was thankful for Dan and Hightower because they were helping him learn along the way . I write this review not for the sole purpose of bashing but to genuinely warn anyone who wanting to go to a school that will look out for you like they say they will. I seen feuds happen between teachers and admin about catering to basic needs to the students , I've seen teachers get fired and steal out the same lab (that we barely had things in already) Keep in mind I completed my program even though they tried to screw me in my last month trying to make me fail the last class due to attendance (that I had a 91% in at the end of the class) all because they knowingly force everyone too do a tedious career prep class that should be offered day 1 yet it's the #1 class that over 80%!! Of students end up not finishing because it's the most tedious time consuming stuff that won't apply to your field or anything you've done your whole time enrolled it's just a class they throw in there so the school can get "extra money" even though everyone's aware of it's uselessness from the mouth of their financial aid director. A big shout out to Dan Bacarri and Gerald Hightower if it weren't for them that school wouldn't be worth a damn. Stefani the education director is the most useless person ever she's nothing but a face for show any real issues you have she will never have a solution too an always trying to send you too someone else to fix the issue. All in all STAY FAR AWAY FROM STC unless you're keen on wasting your time and money. I just hope this review saves a poor soul for signing them selves up for this debt hole of a school.
