**Shark Stride 5K Review**…read more They have an annual 5k that they hold here at the school to help raise funds for their mission trip. It starts with a competitive run and follows with the fun run / walk. Stroller and dogs welcome. They have plenty of parking at their building and the run / walk takes place around the lake just behind it. It's a smaller sidewalk path, so you can't fit more than two people side by side, and you'll have to line up for people to pass by the other way, but it's a nice view the whole way around. It's also nice knowing that the funds from the run support the students going to a mission trip so it's a solid charity to support. It's easy online sign up and payment as well. Overall: A A good 5k event, although a small pathway, it's for a good cause!

The staff I spoke with were kind and helpful in helping me find my way around the building. My favorite thing about this building was the student/staff lounge downstairs that was part dining area / living room and part gym! In a building this small I would never expect a gym, but it had about 5-6 machines and some weights for the students and staff to exercise around their schedule. I thought it was neat and so convenient.

Parking was free in a nearby, designated lot and was included with the tickets we purchased. The music pieces played were fun and well-crafted. The intimate concert hall greatly enhanced the amazingly talented musicians and the world-traveled, well-connected, extremely knowledgeable, and engaging band leader. An electronic ticketing system using an iPad was utilized when we arrived so no paper tickets or mobile phone are necessary. We'd like to return for the next time they play here.

I finished my bachelors in Human Communication and decided to stay on for my Masters. The professors here are wonderful. I've never been anywhere with such a collection of smart, caring people. The professors I've had have all been passionate about helping each student improve their lifelong communication skills. Every UCF student has to take an Oral Communication course, but I recommend taking more classes at NSC, regardless of your major. The classes that I have learned the most from are Conflict Management and Interpersonal Communication. I wish they were required for all students- we would have a much more civil community. If you are trying to decide on major that will help your career, try some NSC classes to see if Communication is right for you!

Cleanliness is always surprisingly upstanding for such a well-frequented club. It's almost as if the patrons feel the need to clean up after themselves because of how immaculate this place is. Seriously though, 5* for cleanliness. The staff is always willing to help and welcoming. Don't expect too much dialogue with them, though, as they're here to facilitate your fun, not hold your hand throughout the night as you cry in the back corner because your bff won't stop talking to strangers and left you all alone. Not that that actually happened or anything. Unfortunately they're pretty stingy about the VIP policy. After 5PM, it becomes pretty difficult to sneak your friends in without getting noticed. They have a pretty solid surveillance system. It complements their impressively modern and abstract decor. Honestly, I could probably spend hours just checking out the various pieces they have on display. Just when you thought the night was turning down and you need to go home and get some rest, they've got you covered. There are two sweet nap pods here for you to get a quick bump to get back into the grind of the night. Some would suggest they're better than cocaine without the addicting side-effects, not that I would know anything about cocaine. Speaking of hard drugs, where's Becky?

First I should say: I only attended a couple of classes but knew quickly this place wasnt for me…read more (And in the business owner's reply they will probably reply that if I stayed I would have seen more), which would be highly unlikely because the way Its taught is the only way people on zoom could also attend. So If they did try to break into groups, the people on zoom would be unable to take part. So that should illustrate what that place purpose is. Is it a business? of course and so money is their MO. But packing people in just to get warm bodies- not cool Bob is great, very passionate and humorous, but I was not there for comedy hour and unfortunately the teaching process was non existent, nor for me was it effective. Class is three hours long and you only do a one to two minute dialogue with brief critique while the students who have been there longer do a scene and get critiqued as well as the people on zoom. So you can see that academic model is more for volume and turn over, not so much for quality instruction.. I had to drive an hour each way then sit two hours or more to do a one minute dialogue. I thought there would be some kind of technique taught, but after my last class monologue the guy teaching was like "dont be so mechanical" then he gave me a brief example. There is no scene study or character development as advertised. Just some pointers. And alot of time is spent with him joking and talking about sometimes unsavory things to elicit laughter under the guise of making people relaxed. For him Its just a way to have fun. There is nothing really professional about that class. If you are a real student and enjoy learning dont go there. He has little control of the class. As a teacher of not only martial arts but English as well for 20 years, I can say there are much more effective ways to teach a group of 20 students that are better and Why does anyone would use zoom for learning acting... convenience, cheaper price? fear? And even in the book that is recommended for the class by Basil Hoffman, in the book on page 27 he writes: " time is precious and fleeting. Dont squander it in frustration and confusion. There are good teachers and there are right ones for you." As soon as I read that I contacted the business guy for the group (which is his son) and told him I wouldn't be attending anymore. I am not upset or angry but come on..there is no scene study , there is no real structure or techniques taught. If the teacher reads this and starts actually teaching and not acting like a teacher, than it will be a 250 dollars well spent. I will probably be blackballed for just being honest but truthful living is more important than truthful acting. As a beginner it just seemed useless to me. But I do like Bob. Great personality and sincere. Just wish he would understand that its not about him in the room. Why not break up into pairs and groups so people can actually learn by doing not just watching. Then the students would become familiar with each other and there wouldn't be a gap between the new and older students and then people would really be comfortable and it would truly be a safe environment. But I am learning that in this business there are teachers and there are actors, who act like teachers. For me Its easy to discern but for the 20ish age group they dont have enough experience to understand what they see. People talk about truthful acting but truthful living is more important * This is a respectful and honest review of my direct experience, there is no pejorative tone intended and it is in no way intended to slander or injure a business. I am exercising my right to freedom of speech in a responsible way in an attempt to bring my direct experience forward so people understand what they might expect if they choose this place because not much information is online about this business and the way it is presented on the website is not as it is. In all fairness noone at the place did anything bad or wrong, for me it was just not productIve so my goal is to enlighten people as to the reality compared to the idea.

The school has grown by leaps and bounds not only in size but also in quality of education due to increased funding. The Lake Nona location is somewhat of an architectural revelation of neo classical modern architecture of mixing breaks wood metal glass into a true joy for the eyes to see. The inside of the school is no less stellar than the outside. I'll be at a bar from Large location, it is an excellent school and it serves The community locally well for now. Valencia did take the initiative and forgot to purchase excess of land around the school so there is ample room for parking as well as additional expansion of the school. My only concern is that they did not initially build the school large enough to handle the huge population growth here in the lake Nona area. With that all being said the staff is stellar, I know many of the instructors there personally and there's a great deal of pride taken by the school in this new location.

It also means you get preference as a future admission in UCF if you want to go into a graduate program. With Direct Connect you can also enroll in UCF, but take classes in Valencia, if transportation or location is an issue for you; and these courses count as UCF credits.
