A wide selection of classes are offered, Tango, Cha-Cha, Swing, Samba, Waltz, Hustle, Foxtrot etc. They offer monthly dance celebrations that are well attended and other special dances where you can practice your new found dance skills. One of the techniques they use to teach is a graduation dance at the end of the 8 weeks. This is a really helpful and excellent teaching tool! Every week, the instructor introduces a new step and by the end of 8 weeks each student has mastered all the 8 steps. Now all you have to do is roll those steps out on a real dance floor. That happens when the class attends the Graduation Dance! Everyone dances the learned routine in front of a live audience and a graduation diploma is provided. This is when it all gets real! There is a mix of singles, couples and various age groups, every class is different. Some people are looking for a dance partner, others love, or to enrich an existing relationship and have some fun by meeting new friends. The best part of Nannette's classes is all the fun you'll have and the fabulous students you'll meet. I've met some wonderful people and many have become great dance friends! Ballroom dancers know how to have a fun time! They even have experienced students fill in a class if there is an uneven mix of men vs women. I have found the assistants to be very helpful and patient. You rotate dance partners so you get to experience dancing with multiple partners. Believe me this is the way to go! You learn faster by dancing with a variety of partners. Besides, you can practice dancing with your partner at home. Dancing with others keeps you from killing your spouse. Lol. At the beginning of each 8 week class they provide a syllabus of what will be taught and a video of the dance steps in available on line. Learning to ballroom dance is not easy but like most things that are worthwhile, it takes good instruction and lots of hard work and practice. Nannette obviously teaches many classes. She also has a very capable dance instructor name Dale Wenner who has been dancing and teaching for years. He is a fabulous instructor and so is Nanette. One of the wonderful surprises I've experienced is something I never expected. Now, when my wife and I go to a wedding or out social dancing, people actually stop and watch us roll out our dance moves. Many, ask us where we learned to dance and compliment us on our smooth moves. Nice. All that said, if you want to learn Ballroom Dancing in "O Town" this is the place to go!

I love how beautiful the stairwell is going up to two. I love how much they have expanded their food and beverage line up over the years. The sound tends to be pretty good, the communication from the theatre is always amazing. They waive fees if you come to the box office to buy your tickets. The seats are comfy and almost every seat has a solid view. The box seats are the exception so be warned. The volunteers are always amazing and they are so nice. It would be cool if they opened a second location that served coffee because that line for espresso beverages is always really long. I love the breadth of show types. There's always something for everyone.

Wednesday, March 18, 2026…read more Front Row, Center Tickets to Ms. Diana Ross' Concert Performance I've been to numerous events at the Dr. Phillips Center but nothing beats having the opportunity to see a legend perform within arms-length to where you're seated. And when that "Icon of Icons" is none other than Ms. Diana Ross...well, nothing else need be said. It was a dream come true to say the least. In my most previous update of the Dr. Phillips Center I indicated meeting with and having my photograph taken with the incredible soprano Sarah Brightman was an entertainment highlight of 2025. 2026 has just begun but I will have to use the superlative "spectacular" once again. As in a spectacular show from start to finish. Diana Ross may be 81 years old!...but she still has the voice and ahem...the moves of a much younger performer. Just think of this, she was performing with the Supremes in the 1960's. I wasn't even born and by the time I was she had 12 number one singles with the OG of girl groups! And she is still working it to this day. Ms. Ross sung a multitude of her hits which kept the crowd, and my sister and I, dancing and singing throughout the evening. However, when she started to belt out Gloria Gaynor's anthem "I Will Survive" that really got the audience out of their seats. An Icon singing and Iconic piece of music is an experience second to none. Ms. Ross, you and your mark on music history is unmatched...blessings to you and your family!

We were a group of 10. There were four girls ages 11 to 14 and six adults. We were returning from a…read moregymnastics meet, and all of us were really hungry. As soon as we walked in, we seated immediately and it smelled so delicious. All of the girls ordered Belgian waffles with sides of bacon and sausage. The adults two ordered breakfast bowls, one order a burger, one ordered meatloaf, one ordered an Asian bowl with chicken, another ordered chicken, Caesar salad. Oatmeal came out within a minute or two of each each other. They were all hot and delicious. The girls emptied their plates first as they were starving and then relaxed and talked while the adults finish their meals. The restaurant was clean, warm and inviting as was the server. The service was quick. There was no rush and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. If you don't know what you're hungry for or not sure everyone will have something on the menu that they can order. Do yourself a favor and stop in. You will not be disappointed. By the way, the prices were reasonable.

People gather around with their folding/camp chairs and enjoy a free evening of entertainment. There are a number of choices for a bite to eat right in the parking lot and RusTeak and Joe's Pizza are right around the corner. It's a great choice for a date night or to do something a little different with the kids. Eat dinner and/or get a cone at Twistee Treat and sit and listen to some local homegrown bluegrass for a small town Friday night out.

This is our third studio we have been at since my daughter started dancing ten years ago, and it is one that we truly feel welcome and blessed to be a part of. I cannot recommend this dance studio enough as the main instructor is phenomenal and has some of the best choreography and standards that we have ever had with a dance studio. This studio is professionally, run and is held by high standards that they are accredited under. If you're looking for a studio, where your child will be dancing to age appropriate music and wearing appropriate costumes this is your place. If you have a son that loves to dance they would really love attending here as my son is part of a great group of boys his age that all share the same love of dance and have become great friends.
