Wow, what an incredibly unfortunate way to "teach" our young minds. This institution will take your…read morechildren and offer them the following: 5% great teachers 10% good teachers 25% average teachers 50% bad teachers 10% horrible "teachers" The ratio of good to bad professors is not the biggest issue. The largest problem is the abundant lack of care and effort by nearly everyone at the university. I was literally forced to change schools in order to keep my GPA and mental health where it should be given the intense amount of work I put in every day. Coming from a 4.0 GPA and being on the presidents list several semesters in a row was swiftly ruined by two BRAND NEW professors. There was absolutely zero subsequent effort to alleviate the issues these new professors presented to our class. In one of these aforementioned courses only 1 student passed with a grade of 72%. This is simply not how we should be treating the passing of knowledge to the next generations. This has been a pathetic waste of tens of thousands of dollars and thousands of hours of hard work. Go ANYWHERE ELSE!

I tried attending this school because the tuition was affordable and it was close to home, but I…read moreregret it. Firstly, most of the teachers and staff were incompetent. I would get different answers from different staff members and no one took accountability for anything. One of my teacher's had her daughter attending her class and her daughter admitted to grading our papers. While the entire class would get items marked off our assignments, her daughter always had 100% on her assignments. It's not ethical and shouldn't be legal. Certain teachers would show favoritism and belittle certain students. My major required me to take several classes with the same few teachers. Only one of them was good, the others were terrible. I was constantly called names by the teacher because I finished my assignments ahead of time. I have a reading comprehension issue that doesn't allow me to always understand and retain what I'm reading, however, I have no issues listening to the lectures and taking notes. When questioned if I had read the material I explained to the teacher I had this issue and can't always retain the material but was still passing the class with high marks. She started making comments to me involving the entire class. For instance saying "Since they didn't read the material then all of you will get extra assignments." Trying to turn the entire class against me because of my learning disability. I was shocked because I had always been a good student that kept to myself and did outstanding work. I never received less than a B my entire college career. Many times my assignments were marked as not recevied and I received a zero. I had to go back and show the teacher that I did in fact turn my assignments in on time and had to request my grade be changed because of this. I had to start keeping impeccable records as to each date/time that I turned in each assignment so I could provide information to the teacher when she would mark an assignment late or not turned in. One teacher would often forget what class she was teaching. I had to correct her several times. She would also make several spelling mistakes and teach outdated material. If you brought any of this to her attention she would either laugh it off, or you would be on her "you know what" list. Many of your assignments will be group assignments. If you're a hard worker like I am and don't want a low grade due to lack of others then be prepared to carry the work of group assignments on your own. I can't tell you how much time and money I spent on doing group assignments with little to no help. You'll also be expected to print out everything needed on your own home printer. I spent close to $200 one semester on handouts and assignments I needed to create for every student in my classes. When I questioned the teacher about it she claimed "The school has gone green." Green for who? Not the planet with all the stuff you expect us to print out. I hung in there until I was 5 classes from graduation and decided I just couldn't bring myself to attend such a poorly ran school. Administration didn't care. One of the ladies in my class was having issues with one of the same teachers, she brought it to the head's attention and they told her she would be better off attending another school, so she quit. I had some great classmates but the integrity of this school is greatly lacking. Also, don't dare take a semester off because they change the class courses all the time. I had to take a couple breaks because of home life and when I went back I was told two of the classes I took that was suppose to be part of my core classes for my degree had changed. Those classes would no longer count toward my degree and I was told I needed to take two other classes in their place. This was a waste of time and money. Don't even get me started on the books. Some classes expect you to purchase books and you'll never use them. I spent $150 on one book and we used it once. They change the books so it's almost impossible to sell them to other students. This college is all about the money. (no shocker) Since most of the students receive a pell grant then most that attend don't care. Honestly, it was exhausting. I'm proud of myself for hanging in as long as I did, but looking back, I wish I had quit sooner. It got to the point where it was almost laughable at the quality of "education" this school provided. Most of the time it was busy work and no real learning went on. In one class I had a classmate do a report on why Rhianna was her hero. I had to sit and listen to 30 minutes of this instead of actually learning something valuable. I spent much of my time YouTubing things and actually learned more from YouTube then most of my classes. I even tried online classes hoping they might be better. It was just as bad, if not worse. You were self teaching and if I had any questions a lot of the responses would be one or two word responses back. My advice, Stay Away!
