When in France you can buy a special sim that is for tourist that is 40 Euro called Orange Holiday Sim http://sites.orange.fr/shop/forfaits_mobiles/options/fiches/mobicarte_holiday.html I went to this store as soon as it opened. First they aggressively make you open your bags. And the security men smelled awful. For the life of me I cannot understand why folks refuse to use soap when it is cheaper than bottled water. Because I had bought this sim in the past I knew what I was looking for and he copied my passport(they have to) then pay 40 Euro. He handed me the sim kit and said thank you and bye. Wait a minute. I know(and he knew) in order for this sim card to work you have to change the Mobile Network access point name in your phone. I asked him why he was not going to change this as he knew it had to be done. He rudely said that I had to walk all the way to the back and have them do it. Then I rudely said to him well if he knew that why didn't he say that in the first place instead of trying to cast me off like an unwanted fish on a line. He stood there with a stupid look on his face. I walked to the back and the man knew immediately what needed to be done and he did it in less then 30 seconds. So if you come here for a sim DO NOT leave without them changing the access point in your phone. If you dont do this the phone will only be able to make and receive calls but you WILL NOT get data-which is what most of us are after. Also be sure to know how to get to the access point setting in your phone because you may have to change it back. Frankly I would never return here and buy anything. Between the smell and the typical poor European service I would rather go someplace else.

Very untrustworthy service. Goes down multiple times a day sometimes for extended periods.

I turned up at the agreed time. The machine was is pieces on his desk. I had received no communication from him. I was offered no opportunity to have the machine sent to me at a later date so I had to COME BACK to Paris from London to collect it. I told him VERY clearly the dates. I was assured it will be ready. It was not. As I write this it seems unbelievable. I came back the FOLLOWING weekend and it still wasn't ready. I was in shock and didn't have anyone in France who could help me deal with it. I went back to England. The man assured me I would have my computer within 2 days by mail. Two weeks later I have no computer and no information from him about when it will arrive. For a while, he gave me dates. Now he has gone completely quiet. I have no idea what to do. I guess I have to go to the police. It's absurd. Good luck if you choose to go here and DEFINITELY DON'T GO IF YOU ARE A TOURIST. The man is not a bad person but he's not reliable.

Apple Store's have changed drastically during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the aftermath, in the UK, France and the US I've noticed the following - Compulsory masks - if you are exempt/refuse to wear one you will be denied entry - Compulsory hand gel on arrival - You must queue separately for the store or Genius Bar, state why you want to enter the store and be escorted in by a staff member - Temperature Checks (For some reason, this was the only store where I didn't get a temperature check and I was told it was banned in France) I explained upon entering the store that I just wanted to look around and wasn't looking for anything in particular, however, I still had to wait for a member of staff to explain this again too. Again, after entering the floor, I tried explaining this to a member of staff that I just wanted to look around and he persisted to try and help me, even though I clearly told him to just let me be. There's trying to help and then there's being pushy on the customer. It wasn't just these staff members that were rude, one staff member also targeted me as my mask fell down, perhaps because I was a tourist. A security guard also barred me from exiting the store and said I had to walk all the way around even though there was no one there because it was spreading COVID?? The store, in general, is small anyway, no Today at Apple feature and the Genius Bar is cramped I mean come on... If Apple on the Champs-Elysées can still bring most of the good from the usual experience even with the pandemic still ongoing why can't this store. It really disappoints a huge Apple fan like me.

Apple Store's have changed drastically during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the aftermath, in France, The UK and the US I've noticed the following - Compulsory masks - if you are exempt/refuse to wear one you will be denied entry - Compulsory hand gel on arrival - You must queue separately for the store or Genius Bar, state why you want to enter the store and be escorted in by a staff member - Temperature checks, if you display a high temperature you will be banned from entering (again Paris is really hot especially in the Summer, often coming close or topping 100 degrees Fahrenheit so is temperature really a good way of testing here?) The store staff seem friendly, they followed policy by a staff member escorting me in after a short wait outside, after he helped with my question he was happy to just leave me to it and take a look around the store, as I was able to relax and check my emails in the Today At Apple area which still had some seating. The part of the store with some Apple devices seemed a little small but the interior of the exterior of the store both remained stunning. Prices are slightly cheaper for devices compared to back home in the UK too! 4*
