I turned up at the agreed time. The machine was is pieces on his desk. I had received no communication from him. I was offered no opportunity to have the machine sent to me at a later date so I had to COME BACK to Paris from London to collect it. I told him VERY clearly the dates. I was assured it will be ready. It was not. As I write this it seems unbelievable. I came back the FOLLOWING weekend and it still wasn't ready. I was in shock and didn't have anyone in France who could help me deal with it. I went back to England. The man assured me I would have my computer within 2 days by mail. Two weeks later I have no computer and no information from him about when it will arrive. For a while, he gave me dates. Now he has gone completely quiet. I have no idea what to do. I guess I have to go to the police. It's absurd. Good luck if you choose to go here and DEFINITELY DON'T GO IF YOU ARE A TOURIST. The man is not a bad person but he's not reliable.
I'm a huge fan of the Apple brand, while in Paris I tried to visit three of their stores in the…read morecity I'm aware of, this location located in the Opera district, which is close to Auber Station and the Hilton Opera in which I stayed during my time in the French capital - this store was by far the worst and that was mainly down to the staff, normally the highlight of the Apple Store with the staff helpful and friendly, here they were just a bunch of miserable bastards. Apple Store's have changed drastically during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the aftermath, in the UK, France and the US I've noticed the following - Compulsory masks - if you are exempt/refuse to wear one you will be denied entry - Compulsory hand gel on arrival - You must queue separately for the store or Genius Bar, state why you want to enter the store and be escorted in by a staff member - Temperature Checks (For some reason, this was the only store where I didn't get a temperature check and I was told it was banned in France) I explained upon entering the store that I just wanted to look around and wasn't looking for anything in particular, however, I still had to wait for a member of staff to explain this again too. Again, after entering the floor, I tried explaining this to a member of staff that I just wanted to look around and he persisted to try and help me, even though I clearly told him to just let me be. There's trying to help and then there's being pushy on the customer. It wasn't just these staff members that were rude, one staff member also targeted me as my mask fell down, perhaps because I was a tourist. A security guard also barred me from exiting the store and said I had to walk all the way around even though there was no one there because it was spreading COVID?? The store, in general, is small anyway, no Today at Apple feature and the Genius Bar is cramped I mean come on... If Apple on the Champs-Elysées can still bring most of the good from the usual experience even with the pandemic still ongoing why can't this store. It really disappoints a huge Apple fan like me.

If you're a mobile professional in Paris then you're probably shaking your head frantically right now because you and I know how hard it is to find a cool, productive spot with good WIFI in this city! La Cantine is one of the few work share spaces in Paris that is open to all, comfortable, quiet, centrally located and reasonably priced. Opened mon-friday from 8am to 11pm, you can swing on by with your laptop and power cord, grab a seat and get to work! Even on busy days there's always room to squeeze in. The atmosphere has a college campus feel to it with just enough going on around to make you feel part of a community, but with the quiet at calm to keep you focused on work. There's also a little cafe corner with cheap coffee and snacks to keep you alert and satiated. Prices: 7E for a half-day and 10E for a whole day with monthly plans available on request.

I noticed my phone battery had started expanding during my trip to Paris, I had a lot of images and texts from my late father on this phone - and explain that to the techs. They explained that the best they could do was send the phone away, Have the battery replaced, and get it back to me within a week time. Under normal circumstances, this would not have a problem, but I explained I was leaving in two days and I had important material on the phone that I was desperate to preserve. They explained that there was a possibility I could lose the texts and photos, and that the battery could possibly explode ruining the phone. My chances were 50-50. Ultimately after roughly an hour and a half wait I decided to take my phone and chance it making it through a flight home. They explained everything thoroughly, very well, and worked to help me find a solution. I would most definitely recommend this store to any tourists, Americans - English speakers, if you have any Apple needs while you're in the area.

I went back 2 weeks later with very loose shoes, having to already wear 2 pairs of socks to keep them on, and I just got a bitchy answer from the oh-so-French sales person that I must not have listened to the advice of the sales person who of course would have told me to take a size down. (That was never mentioned.) Yes, I speak very fluent French, but as she couldn't be bothered to help me with an exchange, I can't be bothered to write this in a language she understands. Super not cool and since I can easily buy docs in the U.S. and know they are cheaper there AND I can return or exchange things easily I see no reason why I would support the French economy to buy these shoes. One aloof sales woman turned me off forever to this store negating my positive experience with two others. If you have access to international stores, then don't bother getting your Docs in France. Three stars since I had a mixed experience here.
