While I was waiting, another patient arrived at 2:00 PM for her scheduled 1:45 PM appointment. She asked the receptionist if she could go ahead of me because she needed to pick up her grandchildren. What upset me the most was that the receptionist allowed her to go before me without even asking if I was comfortable with that decision, despite the fact that I had already been waiting for 20 minutes and was feeling very sick. As a result, I had to wait an additional 29 minutes before I could be seen. I understand that unexpected situations happen, and I always try to be understanding. However, I believe patients deserve fairness, respect, and consideration for their time, especially when they arrive early for a scheduled medical appointment and are not feeling well. The receptionist's handling of the situation felt very rude and inconsiderate. It was not appropriate to prioritize a late-arriving patient simply because she had another obligation, without even asking the patient who had arrived on time and was already waiting. I hope management addresses this issue and reminds staff that every patient's time and health matter. This experience was frustrating and disappointing, and I expected much better customer service from a healthcare facility.

People walk in nervous, sometimes scared, waiting on answers that can change their lives. The first face they see sets the tone for everything that follows. A little warmth at that desk costs nothing, and it means everything to someone who is holding it together for the person they love. The clinical team deserves 5 stars. I set it up with another place, but there machine broke and they pushed me off further than I wanted. So I called Radiology Associates of Ridgewood because my wife has used them. Setting up the visit: The person on the phone was very business-like. Not warm, but who cares. She got me scheduled for the next day and then the office had another person get me on a call with my insurance company to change the prior authorization to this facility. Visit: Scheduled for 8:30am and told to be there at 7:45am. A pre-checked in the day before so when I got there they sat me in a waiting area and I was brought back before 8am. I got changed and prepped and was in the machine a little after 8am. Facility was clean and I haven't had an mri anywhere else, but it seemed to be up to date. Report: I received the report through their portal by 4pm same day. Second visit: So, after showing up this morning, I realized a prior mri I had was at this facility also. I had thought it was somewhere else. I didn't have any issues with that visit either.

We've been there a total of 4 times between myself and my girlfriend for a car accident. I went in early and was taken in on time and was quick. However, the 3 times my gf has been there has been just ridiculous. We came in an hour early for her first visit to fill out the forms and get her ID copied. (Typical for first time patients). We weren't seen for 1.5 hours AFTER her initial appointment mind you we were there an hour early already so we were there 3 hours total for a 45 minute test because it was the lumbar spine and foot. Skip to the 3rd time for her and here's where I got pissed off. My gf had aggravated her neck injury to where she was nauseous at times, vomiting and burning pain between her shoulders because her spinal cord was being pinched by the herniated disc. I made sure to get there on time for 630am appointment. They called the day before to see if we could change to 9am but I told them absolutely not because she had an X-ray appointment 45 minutes away in Hoboken. Guess they double booked her time slot after we booked ours already so they were trying to move one or the other. We get there 1st and someone came in after us. I'm guessing the other 630. They take him FIRST! Mind you, my gf had to take the pain meds she was prescribed to just MAKE the drive there from the pain let alone have to lay down on the table for her MRI. 45 minutes later her pain meds wear off and she's in pain and vomiting. The MRI tech remembered her and said why didn't they tell her the extent of her symptoms because her exam would've taken 10 minutes cause the guy who was allowed to go ahead of us was 45 minutes long. She had my gf sit next to her and tried to keep her calm while I drove to a gas station to get her big gulp cups of ice to put in a ziplock bag to help with her pain because they ran out of ice packs. Had to be on empty for them for a while cause the whole shelf was empty. Come back she's done already and sitting with the tech cause it was dark in her area rather than sitting in the lit waiting room which had me so grateful because she didn't have to do so. Also, on the 1st visit, they never handed her back her drivers license and out of habit of never really needing to pull it out, we assumed it was given back. 3 whole weeks not knowing they never gave it back. They didn't call to say hey, the drivers license was left in the copy machine. Not until I made my date for an MRI did I ask hey was a drivers license left behind did they say oh yea. There are a wide range of patients who go through there, ranging from patients who have been diagnosed with cancer to others just getting an annual screening. My doctor referred me to Bergen Imaging when I first had the need for an ultrasound. I have been a patient of Bergen Imaging for the last 12 years. While I can't say I look forward to my visits (who would??) I can definitely say that the doctors and technicians there are very skilled and understanding. I've had the need for extra tests in the past and they have been very thorough in sitting down with me and explaining why extra tests are needed, what the potential risk is, etc. A couple other important considerations - parking is plentiful and free, and the wait to be seen is usually very short.
