I am very pleased with both the cosmetic outcome and the improvement in my vision. I also had a wonderful overall experience at Dr. Polansky's surgical center. Everyone was professional, caring, and attentive, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The only thing to be aware of is that his office wait times can be quite long. Do not expect to be seen at your appointment time. This can be frustrating. I'm sure this is partly because Dr. Polansky's expertise is in high demand--and, as we all know, there never seem to be enough doctors in Tucson! Thank you, Dr. Polansky, for such a positive experience. I'm very happy I chose you and would gladly recommend you to others.

My first meeting with them was very educational and they took a lot more time explaining my options with me than the other two doctors I had consulted with. They were very friendly and did not try to "sell" me on any kind of procedure. After choosing to go with them I scheduled my surgery and they did the rest! The process was very smooth and they assured me every step of the way. It has now been almost a year since I had the procedure completed and my vision is better than 20/20! I cannot believe I waited so long to get the Lasik Eye Surgery completed. Laser eye surgery was something that I had always wanted to do but was too nervous to let anybody mess with them. Dr. Robert Snyder was the best choice I could have ever made!!! Thank you Dr. Snyder and your entire team. My optometrist recommended Dr. Laurence Kaye and Tucson Eye Care, the doctor and office she sent her mom to. The soonest appointment was in three weeks, when my eyes were measured and tested and then I met with Dr. Kaye, the surgeon. He explained the procedure and my options. Medicare covers lens replacement, but for additional cost I could upgrade to eliminate my astigmatism and achieve 20/20 vision near and far, and not need glasses or contacts. Seemed like quite a plan. Well, today was my final post-operative checkup. I have better than 20/20 vision and couldn't be more pleased. All the technicians, office staff, Dr. Kaye, and Dr. Siekert were kind, informative, caring, and supportive. The actual procedures were done at the Camp Lowell Surgery Center, which has the same quality of compassionate care as the Tucson Eye Care. I could not have asked for a better experience or outcome and HIGHLY recommend.

I first when for a complaint of dry eye and was treating with plugs day of my appointment. My mom was seen by Dr. Richard Lewis, MD for an eye infection. Normally they would dilate, but he explained why this was not a safe option to do on her eyes. She was incredibly impressed and thankful to him for his clinical excellence. Dr. Lewis noted that her eyes were at high risk of acute narrow angle glaucoma attacks that, aside from being incredibly painful, can result in loss of eyesight. He thoroughly explained why she was at risk and how cataract surgery will not only eliminate her risk, but will drastically improve her vision given her advanced stage of cataracts. He thoroughly explained risks and benefits of the surgery. My sister actually had had an acute narrow angle glaucoma attack (a traumatic experience) a few years ago, which was treated (elsewhere in another state) by lasering a hole through her iris (which was stressful) , and recently opted to preemptively get cataract surgery. Turns out his office manager optician got the wrong pupillary distance and that threw everything off. I had to bring them an accurate PD from another eye doctor before they would remake them. Before that he made me come in for another eye exam and when it was slightly different he berated me for wasting his time. They wasted my time and I found out later that it's normal to have slight variations in vision exams based on the time of day, fatigue etc. The issue was not my eye exam; the issue was the pupillary distance. I think he didn't want to lose any money remaking the glasses so instead of just doing that he thought he would attack me until I gave up and stop telling them I couldn't see out of the glasses. This is the dark side of this office that you won't see until someone screws something up. I didn't know anything about pupillary distance or eye exam variation or anything because I never been to a place where I experienced something like this. If his office manager, who I see from some other reviews has been rude to other people as well, had not measured my PD wrong none of this would have ever happened and I would have just thought he was a great guy and it was a great office. But as the saying goes, customer service begins when something goes wrong. They messed up and they bullied me. It was a horrible experience.
