I did a lot of waiting and research before choosing Dr. Snyder's office. He had come highly recommended by a friend but I wanted to make sure. My first meeting with them was very educational and they took a lot more time explaining my options with me than the other two doctors I had consulted with. They were very friendly and did not try to "sell" me on any kind of procedure. After choosing to go with them I scheduled my surgery and they did the rest! The process was very smooth and they assured me every step of the way. It has now been almost a year since I had the procedure completed and my vision is better than 20/20! Dr. Snyder performed LASIK on my both of my eyes on November 2nd, 2016. I am beyond pleased with the results. I had a lot of astigmatism and nearsightedness as well as a history of corneal erosions and iritis related to a chronic inflammatory disease. Although I was able to wear contact lenses they were often uncomfortable and unable to correct my astigmatism if they dried out. My eyes are sensitive and prone to inflammation. I wanted the best surgeon, and I think I found him. Dr. Snyder is a perfectionist and has an excellent bedside manner. His office staff are friendly, professional, and highly competent. They provided detailed instructions at every step of the process. I now have 20/15 vision with no discomfort and have had no complications. Finding a doc you can trust with your peepers is no easy task. It turns out my parents eye woes worked in my best interest. When I discovered a foreign bump on my eye and freaked out I was quickly comforted by the fact that I knew who to go to! While it was scary to have fire red eyes and a strange bump on my eye, it was no ocular emergency worthy of waiting in an ER, so I called in and thanks to the lovely reception staff, they squeezed me in for an appointment with Dr. Hunter. I had called in to see Dr. Snyder, but seeing that my phone call was returned right away, I was "triaged" over the phone and was scheduled the next day, I knew I would be in good hands. Please note, the only reason I called in for Dr. Snyder was because both of my parents are patients of his and that's the only good Ophthalmologist I knew of. Both, Dr. Snyder and Dr. Hunter are professional and thorough, I would know, I saw them both! On my first visit, I saw Dr. Hunter and I had my follow up with Dr. Snyder. I enjoyed my visit with both and we covered all my ailments. While my "dry eye syndrome" might be their bread and butter type of case, they didn't make me feel that way. I had the PRK laser vision correction on 9-2-15, and I am amazed at the results! I am able to read the bottom line on the vision chart. I now have 20/20 vision in my right eye, and 20/15 in my left eye. I had the PRK laser vision correction back on December 2015 and the results were amazing. It took about 5 months for the eyes to settle down completely, the halo and starburst to disappear completely. It was after few weeks that I could live my life normally, after a month the healing process was already like at about 80% and from that point on it slowed down till the fifth month when my eyes got to 100% (20/15 vision). Definitely a good investment. It was a really nice experience to work with Dr. Snyder and his crew. read more

Had Lasek done here some years ago. It is a little more expensive than the Lasik, but there is no healing of the flap to worry about. I couldn't believe it was painless. Dr. Snyder was recommended to me by a friend. I did research and then made an appointment for cataract surgery. The staff was very nice and Dr. Snyder made me comfortable from the moment he entered the exam room. During my exam he discovered a bleeding retina. He was so calm about it that I did not get upset. (His office scheduled an appointment with a retina specialist for the next day.) I was able to proceed with cataract surgery and found the entire process very interesting--in a good way! My surgery results were excellent. He is very professional but also has such a wonderful personality that I didn't want him to leave the exam room!! Doctor Snyder did eye surgery on both my eyes. Each surgery was spaced 1 year apart. He was excellent. I had needed the surgery for several years but had not found a good doctor to do the surgery. My optometrist recommended Dr. Snyder to me, and I am thankful to him for the recommendation. The office staff is great. Dr. Snyder was very kind and understanding. He listened to me. Dr. Snyder was recommended to me by my optometrist, a business acquaintance. Because of the cataracts, my right eye could not be corrected with glasses and I needed to get my driver's license renewed in December. I saw Dr. Snyder on Oct. 29th and he was very prompt in getting the two surgeries scheduled for the first two weeks of November. He was very pleasant and cheerful and confident he could get it done in time. I had a total of six appointments and the two surgeries. Dr. Snyder was a joy! Immediately after the first procedure, I could see 20/20 with my right eye! I was reading street signs and license plates all the way home. The left eye was done the next week.
