Best Jamaican food in town. The food reminds you of back home. Everything is full of flavor. Big up the Chef.

Follow me @theblackgirlatleisure on all socials for more reviews…read more Cocktails/Drinks: 8/10 I've visited Ranch Caribbean Vybez two times within the last month or so. Their drink menu is creative and includes some of your favorite wines, spirits/classic cocktails. I've ordered/Tasted: The No Woman No Cry Two different Chardonnays (don't remember the names) Mojito Extra Dirty Gin Martini (wasn't my favorite, it tasted like maybe there was vermouth missing from it or there wasn't enough. Still pretty good though.) Each of these drinks were really good! My favorite was the No Woman No Cry, it tasted really tropical. A nicely balanced cocktail that wasn't too sweet! Food: 10/10 The food has come out hot, fresh and delicious each time I visited. I've had: Coconut Shrimp (crispy, really nice crunch, nice amount of coconut) Lamb Tacos (these were made with curry which was something new for me, loved it!) Jerk Ribs (these were SO good! Tender and seasoned to perfection) Mozzarella Sticks () Service: 9/10 I've gone during a slower evening and during one where it was more packed. The first night I was seated immediately at the bar and was taken care of very quickly. The feeling that I got was very pleasant and welcoming. I know this was a courtesy, but my gf and I were able to stay a little past closing (don't expect this when you visit, I just wanted to share to let you all know how kind they were!) The second time I visited it was more busy because they were hosting an event. At this time food took longer to come out. Other than that, the servers did the best they could. Ambiance: 10/10 The ambiance here gives really fun girls night, good music, after work drinks, and a perfect place to have a yap session or even just a chill dinner in a beautiful place with friends. I love how welcoming the staff makes everyone feel and how they check on the tables just enough (and not when you're mid bite ). The Bronx needs more places like this! Overall: 9.25/10 I'll definitely be coming back to hangout with my girlfriends. I think this spot is so cute, the food and drinks are high quality and it's just overall really good VYBEZ (wink). Definitely come here during the week. Their happy hour menu feels ILLEGAL because the prices are so good and the food is even better.

It's typically pretty empty on the dine-in side during the week, but it's jumping more Friday/ Saturday. I stopped in for happy hour yesterday evening and had the shrimp skewers with a mango margarita. My shrimp was fresh and flavorful and my margarita was cool. I'm here often, so I'll be back.

The place was exceptionally clean with a nice setup. As you walk in, the fully stocked steam table is to your right and there's seating as well as a bar to your left. EVERYTHING on the steam table looked absolutely amazing and FRESH. Nothing looked dried out or as if it had been sitting out all day (this was about 8pm mind you). All the options made it hard for me to truly decide what to get but i decided to keep it simple since it was my first visit. I got a medium jerk chicken meal with either calaloo or spinach rice and steamed cabbage w jerk sauce on the side. It came up to about $18. The portion size was great for the price too, i couldn't finish my plate in one sitting. The food was DELICIOUS also, everything was flavorful without being overwhelming and the jerk sauce carries the perfect amount of spice. I also had a $7 rum punch (they have another size for about $15 i believe) which was FABULOUS! It was nice and strong but still fruity, literally a perfect balance of the 2. The service was also nice, the staff is very tentative. They actually greet you upon entering and try to serve you as soon as possible. I know Jamaican restaurants usually get flack bc of the staff having "attitudes", but not here; everyone was sweet and helpful from the servers to the cashier to the bartender. They also have specials such as happy hour all night on Fridays. I'll definitely be making a trip back so i can try everything else on the menu.

Well not only was the pepper shrimp spicy but it was the best I've ever had. The shrimp was so big plumped and juicy. I didn't expect it to be nicely coated with such delicious flavor. My mouth is still watering as I write this review. I paid a little over $17, but it didn't bother me because it was fresh shrimp and veggies and of the amount of food I received was a lot. I mean they could have threw in a free small beverage to go along with it, but I wasn't mad, because this is NYC. I've paid higher prices for food that had less amounts and not even worth the price, but anyway I digress. The restaurant is quite small but big enough for you to stay and dine if you wanted. Along with great customer service, and delicious food a girl couldn't ask for anything more. Not to mention they were playing music to bop your head along with. I don't know if I would return for anything else on the menu right away because I would be hooked to buying the pepper shrimp again. When I get past that I would try something else. Overall, my meal was five stars but since I've only had one amazing item, and I don't know yet If it would be consistent , Im giving them four stars. I think they are worth visiting. Thumbs up and Happy Yelping!

It's a family-owned, halal establishment known for generous portions, and it has been a community staple for over 25 years. I heard about Carifesta on social media and wanted to check it out. My daughter and I drove from Connecticut to try the food. When we arrived, the staff told me there would be a 45-minute wait. No problem. We ordered the Guyanese Chicken with Lo Mein, Jerk Chicken Sliders, and the Guyanese Fried Chicken. The Guyanese Fried Chicken was very flavorful but overfried. The chicken had a bone, and as I ate, it fell apart, which told me it was overfried. Next, I tried the Chicken with Lo Mein, and the noodles were overcooked and lacked flavor. The chicken was good and tasted like baked chicken. It had good flavor, but it wasn't out of this world. My daughter had the Jerk Chicken Sliders, and she said they were okay. She said she tasted the Jerk flavor, but the chicken lacked flavor. I'm not sure if they were having an off day, but if I'm in the area, I would give them another tryout.
